I bought this because of the hype and because I am a lover of sweet smells. I am not a huge soap user and prefer gels or scrubs but I just had to have this very girly and gorgeous soap. It really is the Godmother of Lush soaps. It smells amazing of candy and all things sweet! It calls to every level of my girliness. I like how rustic it looks when you get it. It's in no particular shape just a slab off the block.
It proudly takes place in my shower soap dish and makes my shower look so pretty! I use this to soap up my legs to shave. I can't use chemicals to shave so this is perfect for that and leaves them smelling amazing. I can't use soap on my body because it tends to dry out but the fact that I can use it as a shaving lather is perfect!
The only complaint I have is that it melts way too quickly which means that I have to buy again too soon. But because I love it so much I am happy to do so. Even my son loves to use it as an all over body cleanser so it's a win, win situation.
I was gifted a box of Lush goodies recently and I decided to try out the Godmother soap first. I looked it up on the Lush website and was stoked to see that it smells like Snow Fairy. I've never tried Snow Fairy before because I'm not a fan of shower gels so to see that the scent was now available in soap form made my day.
To me it smells like that wonderful creamy pink cough mixture I used to take over 20 years ago (boy that sounds like a galaxy away). Even though it looks like Tip Top's Jelly Tip I'm pretty sure it doesn't taste as good but it smells like it would hehe.
I prefer to use this as a hand soap as opposed to the body because the scent lingers much longer on me that way. I'm trying hard to refrain from unnecessary face touching so as soon as I smell the lovely scent I know I'm in dangerous territory haha.
It is quite slippery in comparison to other soaps but since I'm only using it as hand soap it's not a big deal. I don't notice any difference in the softness or smoothness in my hands other than it smells good and feels clean.
I received a bar the size of the rectangular Lush soap tin and with everyday use it'll probably last me 2-3 weeks (assuming I don't get carried away with lathering my hands). I would buy this myself!
Tips: I keep my soap in a water draining soap dish. Would love to find the soap dish that has a small spout to drain the water into the sink!!
