Eco Tan - Invisible Tan 150ml (Medium/Olive)

After all the hype and social media pictures Id seen on this brand I decided to purchase for my upcoming overseas trip (being Summer on the other side of the world and all) and all I can say is that it let me down in a big way. I have naturally fair skin but can wear a tan well and after THREE applications of Eco invisible tan I was only half way to wear my normal tanning cream would be after only ONE application - Invisible tan well, er, yes I guess it is. This made for such a time consuming process, when it shouldn't be (especially if on holiday). It still had the same tanning smell like all the others I've tried aswell.

I do like the fact that is organic and natural as we need to see more skincare in this category.

Since returning home I have already purchased my go-to tanning cream (Argania -NZ Made- Moroccan Tan $30 from Farmers 200ml) All in all, I am pleased I tried this tanning cream to get the 'fomo' out of my system. Social Media 1, Ash 0

Tips: See if a friend has some you can try before you open your wallet.

Super Easy To Apply!

One of the best Tanning products I have used. I love that it is organic and natural and doesn't contain nasties. A huge bonus is that it doesn't leave you with that awful tan smell the next day. The fact it's moisturising mean when you apply it, it goes on really smooth and doesn't leave you with the sticky, tight, drying feeling. It doesn't apply super dark which I also love, I get a nice rich tan after 1-2 coats and a nice deep tan after 2-3 coats. It's also vegan and cruelty free, which is super important when I choose any makeup item or skincare item. It definitely doesn't stain sheets either!

Tips: Exfoliate before hand, Eco Tan actually have an exfoliation glove too that works a charm!

Eco Tan Invisible Tan

After following Eco Tan on Instagram for a while and seeing the before and after shots of the tan I felt like I needed to give it a try! I was looking for a natural looking tan with no orange pay-off and this looked too good to pass up. I brought it from health 2000 for around $30-$40 (I think). As this tan develops over night I was concerned it was going to rub off on my sheets and I would get a streaky tan. I woke up pleasantly surprised that it was a nice natural colour and was not streaky at all! And a major bonus my sheets were tan free! The second time I applied this tan was a night before a wedding. I made a big mistake of applying way too much to my legs and I found out in the morning my legs were way to dark for my liking almost leading to orange! Wahh!! As there was not too much I could do I just had to roll with it with a few side glances from some people at my legs. But I learnt from this mistake and would repurchase this tan again.

Tips: A little goes a long way, learn from my mistake and don't apply to much to your legs as the tan will develop way to dark!

At last!

Finally, a fake tan that actually looks good and is good for you. After using fake tans sporadically over the years, I have never been much of a fan. They would always end up looking orange and patchy, despite all the best prep efforts. So into the bin they would go. I started using Eco Tan Winter Skin last year (that's a whole other review) and decided to purchase this to use during the summer to use when we holidayed at the beach and for special occasions. Well I just love it, and it has restored my faith in fake tans. It goes on nicely and develops into a nice honey colour (not a hint of orange in sight). It's easy to blend and doesn't get patchy around ankles, knees etc. I use the Eco Tan exfoliating glove to buff all over in the shower before I use this, and the two work wonderfully together. My sister-in-law asked if I had a spray tan when I first used this, and now she uses it too. The best part is that the ingredients are all natural, nothing nasty going on your skin.

Tips: Use with the Eco Tan exfoliating glove.

Eco Tan - Invisible Tan

I hate to be the one to say it but I really do not rate this product at all. Like everyone I've had some bad experiences with fake tanning and after hearing all these reviews about how this product would not rub off onto clothing and how you could apply it without worrying it would rub off onto your sheets I decided to give it a go. Needless to say, my white sheets were never the same!! I exfoliated beforehand and moisturised the dry areas (knees, elbows, etc.) and applied the tan as per the instructions and it still come out streaky and stained my sheets. Very disappointed with this product.

Tips: Natural is best

Best tan i've ever used!

Fake tanning and I are not great friends. Many clothes, towels, even duvet covers have been sacrificed in my quest to find the perfect fake tan. However hard I try to get it right I always end up spilling it, applying it wrong and looking orange or with streaks and patches. That is why this product has completely changed the way I fake tan!

It doesn't smell like fake tan at all to begin with. It also doesn't look like fake tan but instead a thick creamy white moisturiser. It comes out of the tube very easily and only a little is needed to cover a large area. I apply it by rubbing it on to my freshly exfoliated skin just as I would a moisturiser. Some people may be thrown off by the fact that it doesn't have a colour which could make it hard to figure out where you have applied it, but I assure you if you just make sure you've rubbed it in really well and all of the areas feel thoroughly moisturised then you are doing it right!

And thats it - incredibly simple! Now this isn't an instant tan so you will need to wait around 8 hours to see it fully developed. Because of this I would recommend applying it before bed but because it doesn't have a really strong fake tan smell and it doesn't transfer to clothing then you could even apply it before work and it would be ready for an evening out by the end of the day.

The only thing is, even though it doesn't smell of fake tan immediately it definitely starts to the more it develops. This doesn't bother me and it is no where near as bad as other products but it is something to be aware of.

The tan looks beautiful and makes your skin a nice cocoa kind of brown. On me, it lasts about half a week noticeably but you can easily re apply as there is so much product in the tube I could see myself getting at least 20 applications maybe even more!

Tips: Moisturise dry areas such as elbows, knees, ankles, hands and also places like your eyebrows and hairline! Also, make sure you give your hands a very very good scrub afterwards.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

I am a spray tan technician and I use Eco Tan. However it is a bit tricky to spray yourself!! So I ordered some invisible skin in for some clients and kept one for myself as it is much easier for me to apply myself! And i am so pleased with it! After one application at night, in the morning I am so nice and brown! And being cocoa based, Its not orange at all!! And not patchy! By far the best self tanning product I've ever used. It also has no nasty smell and it spreads on white so you can see where you are putting it. It dries quickly though and you aren't left all sticky and with a residue. It lasts well and I can even shave without it coming off. I just exfoliate it off after about once a week and start again :) Cannot say anything negative about this!! Now I can be all lovely and brown like my clients! :)

Tips: Treat it as if you are going for a spray tan, the prep is really important. Shave and exfoliate the night before or that morning and put it on at night before bed. This is because of you put a bra on afterwards it would rub it off around the strap area and when you go to bed you are generally in loose clothing. Only put moisturiser on the dry areas first, such as your ankles & knees. And wash your hands straight away after each application!! I would totally recommend getting the Eco Tan exfoliating mitt. It's the best for exfoliating first and is really even and the best mitt I've used. It's also great for getting it all off when you want to start again :)

It says on the back 5 full body tans, I've done used it probably about 5 times now but I only do my arms, chest and legs. But I'm doing 2-3 coats each time and a little goes a long way so I agree, you will get at least 20 uses out of it!

Pumau, this would definitely last you a month. The tube says 5 uses but I reckon you can get at least 20!

How long would a bottle/tube of this stuff last someone? I'm wanting to try it but I want something that'll last a month or two (the product not the tan itself).
