Lush Sexy Peel Review

This and the happy hippy body wash (Sexy peels' sister product) are the only products I've ever found that has really been able to make me feel this level of sexy by themselves!!!

The scent is exhilarating and refreshing, with a zing that'll have you dancing your butt off in the shower. The pieces and chunks of citrus zest make a great variety in texture and exfoliation for your skin, while the soap itself leaves your skin feeling fresh and rejuvenated.

How Lush was able to make a product with this much pizzazz I don't know, but I applaud them fully!!

Sexy peel is a Lush favorite of mine, prior to using this I didn't really like citrus scents but a friend sent me this along with a few other things from Lush and it got me hooked. Now my mornings are brighter when I shower with this and I have opened my senses to the zesty citrus side of shower products and accumulated a good size collection.

The soap has a strong citrus fragrance even without it touching the water, It smells just like the Whitakers L&P chocolate, which is why I probably love it even more, the yellow soap has tiny pieces through out the soap. It lasts longer than most of the Lush soaps which is an added bonus. It creates lemony suds that stay on your skin after your shower.

I love to use this soap in my morning shower, theres something about this soap that wakes me up and empowers me to seize the day. I will be repurchasing this until they stop making it.

We go through loads of soap in this house so when I was doing a lush order recently I popped one of these in the cart. (I think the kids are sick of the godmother as they have realised they can't eat it) so I thought I would try something new.

This bar is a gorgeous almost caramel colour and doesn't really sing "citrus" the scent oh that scent!! It's a gorgeous sweet citrus, a bit like the orange flavoured fruit bursts. I'm glad it's just as sweet as it is citrus as so many citrusy scents smell bitter and over powering but no not this one. It has bits of what looks like cut up lemon peel which looks pretty but doesn't really do anything.

This soap is one of Lush's harder soaps, So it doesn't crumble easily and holds its shape well. But it does need to be stored on a rack or in a soap dish so that it doesn't go all mushy underneath.

I love using this soap on my hands it cleans them without stripping my hands and giving them that "squeaky" clean feeling. It feels moisturising and leaves them feeling soft and ever so perfectly scented, which lasts 20 minutes if I don't moisturise right away.

I love this soap so much I'm buying some to use in the shower, a gorgeous, invigorating citrus blast that is gentle on my hands.

For some reason, people keep buying me Lush soaps as gifts. I have to admit, it looks beautiful and it smells amaaaazing, with the citrus scent, but at the end of the day, it's still soap, and just leaves me squeaky, Whether I just use it on my hands, or all over, it's the same effect. I do however love this to just scent the room if I leave it in a bowl, so it's a little bit useful for me :)

This was an impulse purchase that i grabbed from the Lush Boxing Day. It had good reviews so I thought there was no harm in buying and trying it, especially for half price.

It comes in 100 gram bars (like most of Lush soap), and it a pale yellow cloudy colour. Honestly, when it comes to appearances, there is nothing special or amazing about this soap, but the smell is amazing.

This lush soap smells absolutely amazing. It is the perfect zingy,citrus hit and it just smells so refreshing and invigorating. This soap even has little bits of citrus chunks (i think from the skin of the fruit) which adds a very gentle exfoliating element to the soap and another added bonus if you ask me.

Super happy I grabbed this, and I will be buying this soap again.

Baked Alaska has been a solid favourite in this house with much stocking up required over the Christmas period to get us through the year. Then steps in Sexy Peel and baked Alaska has been kicked to the kerb (probably nothing that drastic lol). I bought this soap,on a whim at the Christmas sales because I was stuck in a que to pay for my items right next to the soaps so I was forced to investigate all on offer to relieve my boredom, plus it was half price! Cha-ching!

This is the most citrus, lemony smelling soap that lush has (Or anywhere else that I have found) but it's boring nothingness appearance and non enticing name has always seen me overlook this little gem. It's this plain nothingness that has really got me quite taken with this soap as it doesn't leave any coloured marks in my white shower which is a problem with some of the brightly coloured lush soaps.

I can't say I've noticed that the peel on the top of the soap has any exfoliating effect- it usually just falls off after the second use.

Skin is clean, fresh and ready to go, soap duties performed to perfection.

If you need a pick-me-up in the morning I highly recommend this soap! It’s so full of life, I can’t imagine anyone not feeling refreshed! It has small bits of peel in it which adds a touch of exfoliation (it’s no sugar scrub!) while leaving your skin feeling clean and smelling like citrus.

The smell is AMAZING – an intoxicating zesty rush of yellow and orange fruits. What I love about this soap is that you don’t need much water to form a generous lather because it lathers easily and quickly. The smell intensifies tenfold by then and you just can’t help but feel uplifted.

The citrus scent in the bathroom lasts a good 2 hours however on the skin it tends to disappear within the hour which is good because I generally don’t want my soap and perfume competing. I like to keep my soaps in a dark cupboard, drawers or a seal tight container until I need them. One of my favourite soaps from Lush which I wish I could eat – sigh – so tempting but pretty sure it only smells good haha.

Sexy Peel would have to be my favourite Lush soap. It is zesty, it is lemony and it does have a revitalizing feel to it.

To look at it is yellow with a few bits of what looks like citrus peel in it. It is not the prettiest. But it sure smells pretty.

I also love that it has a real lemon smell to it as oppose to the synthetic citrus smell that a lot of other soaps have.

It's not a soap I get as often as I would like because it is quite expensive. But of course for that it is made with natural ingredients, not tested on animals and handmade.

In terms of packaging there is none, expect the paper bag you carry it out of the store with, so it also also very eco friendly.
