So handy, use daily, I don't even have a baby :)

Every one needs one of those go to balms, just to help sort out bumps, cuts, dryness, slight skin issues.

A 100g pot, smells so so good, texture is easy to apply, no too thick. Not gel but smooth cream like texture which is not at all too heavy. Product list is full of my favourites, Manuka Honey, Avocado & Coconut Oil, Rosehip and Calendula with Natural Beeswax thrown in too!!

I've been using to moisterise lips, tend to little bits and bobs, sort out my dry elbow patches. Within 24 hrs I had so much relief.

My go to, handy for anything new favourite balm. My Elizabeth Arden one isn't quite doing the trick anymore, maybe I've become too used to it?

Anything that has Manuka Honey is a favourite for me, Wild Ferns was a easy choice, used other products.

Don't feel like I need to over sell this product or convince, its just a great product packed full of great NZ products, made here too!

A tad expensive at $24.95, I got it on a great deal in a shop.

Tips: Not just for babies, use as the go to balm which every house needs.

Honey Babe Barrier Creme

This was sent to me as a part of the Mystery baby care pack. This is my favourite product in the pack. It comes in a handy pot and is an easy application. We've had a run of rashes in the past and I am always very cautious as to what I use as barrier cremes. This one quickly because one of the best I have used. It's thick and has a pleasant fragrance. Knowing that it has Avocado Coconut oil , Calendula and Rosehip puts my mind at rest. I'll definitely be getting another pot of this when it's over.

Keep the rash away

The day we received our trial was the day my daughter came home from daycare with a tummy bug, perfect time to put the cream to the test as there were lots more nappies to change in the days ahead. I love the consistency of the cream, its easy to rub in and it doesn't pull at the skin, i find some barrier creams are quite stiff and you need to really rub it in which isn't ideal when the area is sensitive. The tub is a good size and a little bit goes a long way. Lovely scent, not over powering. Definitely will purchase again once i know where i can get it from

Tips: I actually used it on my hands as i have gotten abit of dermatitis on my fingers from washing powder and a couple of days using this it went away. So it's really an over all balm

Honey Babe Barrier Crème

First of all let me apologize in advance if I keep refering to this product as a cream instead of crème. This one looked very fancy schmancy in its package. And thats saying alot for a baby bumbum cream.

The barrier cream came in a small creamy yellow, gold and orange box. The box has embossed writing as well. Inside the box there is a white tub with a screw top lid and a protective plastic disc to prevent leakage. Beautiful labelling with a baby on a manuka flower floating on honey.

The cream is locally made with 99% natural ingredients such as premium manuka honey which has 80% pollen analysis. It also has avocado and coconut, calendula and rosehip oil to protect and sooth babys bottom. The box is recyclable but I dont think the plastic tub is-it doesnt say.

The cream comes in 100g tub so its compact, easy to travel with and store. The product expires 12 months from the time you open it. The cream itself is very rich thick and decadent and cream in color (excuse the pun). It has a heavenly scent (natural perfume) and spreads very easily leaving a oily film ( in a good way). You only need a small amount but have to reapply everytime you do a nappy change.

I found it to be an okay product but not a holy grail. My babys bottom was a bit raw after having constipation (sorry!) and it took a few days for it to clear up when I used the barrier cream only. Otherwise it did keep babys bottom moisture free after using it. I used it on a dry spot on my hand and it rehydrated it very well so it works well in that case.

This might work with others but my baby is a bit sensitive to products so maybe thats why it took a few days for his bottom to clear up. The one thing i might change is the screw top lid. Its difficult to open and close with one hand while keeping the other on a squirming baby.

Barrier cream with Honey and avocado!

Thank you BR for allowing me to trial this.So glad I found this Awesome product. My bubs didn’t end up with any nappy rash or red marks while using this. He does suffer from dry and sensitive skin so getting to trial this on him was really great. I’m converted. Product with Honey and Avocado AND coconut oil... bliss This comes in a easy to use tub and quite easy to get the product out. It glides on easily on the skin and has a nice mild honey smell to it which I found that did last quite a while. I used this on my toddler twice a day just in the morning and night but found it to be really effective as I didn’t see his skin flaring up or having red marks. This actually seemed to calm his skin down a lot. ( thanks to the brilliant combo of ingredients) Price wise I feel it is a little bit pricey but with the results I have had with my child it is totally worth it. Would definitely recommend for bubs who suffer from eczema and sensitive skin.

Beautiful nz made baby bub product

This product feels great on the skin and I really loved the smell of it too. It's not too thick like some barrier creams and I found if was easy to apply to baby s bum.

Tips: A little goes a long way.

Multi-tasking product

I got a lot more use than I anticipated from this product. It's a different consistency to the oily barrier cream I usually use, more of a body butter, so I ended up also using it as a moisturiser. It was a good sized tub too, not so small as to be used up quickly, but not too big for the nappy bag, so it has ended up doing a lot of travelling with me.

As a barrier cream I'm not sure it's heavy and greasy enough to do the trick for serious nappy rash, but I'm sure that used consistently as a preventative it will be fine.

Bonus, this has a pleasant scent and you might want to steal it for yourself instead!

Tips: This doesn't contain artificial fragrance, so is a good choice for mammas worried about artificial chemical exposure.

I will continue to use this on him as its working wonders, an i dont have anything bad to say about it.

Tips: It is very thick but a little goes a long way.

Sweeter than honey

I have tried every barrier cream out there - not joking. I have tried a mixture of natural and synthetic and had very little luck. One brand I even refuse to have in the house after an "incident" where my darling daughter decided to create an artwork of barrier cream on a carpet media! Not only was it a nightmare to clean - I also decided anything that doesn't come out of carpet after all my effort doesn't need to be applied to my precious offspring. In the end I had some luck with a baby bottom butter that I purchased from overseas - but this has its limits shipping, price etc. And aged very quickly.. vanilla scent to vinegar - no thanks! I was so excited to try the HB barrier cream when it showed up in the trial pack. This is the product I loved the most out of all 3. I have seen this Wild ferns brand at life pharmacy but never the HB range of theirs.. so although I do wish it was more readily available, I loved this one product so much I would consider paying for shipping online to order more. I personally like the packaging - a pottle in a box both very matchy matchy with the adorably cute baby on the packaging. I like that the pottle has a lid and another seal to stop the contents settling in the lid when chucked in the nappy bag. This can easily be removed if this step will bother you when changing nappies for example. The box also states expiry 2021 - very decent! It is a thick cream - not runny, smooth - not gritty and wipes into place with ease. I used this on my son. He doesn't sleep all night but he does sleep long stretches so wearing a nappy for long periods we use a barrier cream in the groin area - a very common area known to need a barrier between the skin and moisture it may come in contact with. This creamy concoction worked a treat. No redness, no raw skin, no peeling and no product buildup like some other creams cause. The scent is pleasant and not too strong and a little went a long way. I think having the natural oil ingredients helped. I saw a dermatologist for my skin and he said one of the best oils to use for moisture was avocado oil and this cream ticks that box. One thing I will say is the directions are a bit lacking - apply as often as required - that's it really. I assumed no area was off limits from this statement so used it on my lips too and a few spots on my sons body. I like the fact the ingredients are 99% natural so I didn't worry about using it just as a barrier for soothing and re-hydrating baby's bottom for example. For the price, ingredients and how often you use it I think its great value compared to other barrier creams. It will definitely be recommended and given to my mum friends.

Tips: BONUS: it doesn't stain clothes and wipes away clean - you don't have to live in fear your carpet will be ruined!
