Dr. LeWinn's Inner Beauty Vegan Collagen + Hyaluronic Acid Inner Beauty Liquid Shots

I’ve been using an unflavoured marine collagen powder daily in my coffee for a few years now. Some brands certainly mix in better than others! As a pescatarian I would never touch a product which contains bovine collagen and would definitely prefer to be using a vegan one.

I received a 20 day (two boxes) course of the Dr Lewinn's Inner Beauty Vegan Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid Liquid Shot. It’s a delicious apple flavour in beautiful individual shot bottles which is easy to drink straight out of the bottle if you’re on the run. After around 10 days I began mixing it with water or into smoothies on odd days as a change.

Not only are my nails strong, my skin looking fresh and my hair shiny, the addition of the Hyaluronic Acid to the collagen had noticeably hydrated and plumped my skin.

This is definitely my preferred product to be taking, but equating to $5.25 to $8 per daily dose at it's usual price depending on the retailer, this isn’t really an affordable product for me as much as I would love to continue taking it. Being able to choose from a range of flavours as well as an unflavoured one would be ideal for ongoing use.

I was lucky enough to get onto the trial team for Dr Lewinn's Vegan Collagen Hyaluronic Acid Inner Beauty Liquid Shots, and was sent two boxes, each containing ten 50ml glass bottles.

I chose to add my daily shot to a glass of still water, as I have a few medications to take in the morning and usually need a full glass. The taste surprised me - it tastes just like apple juice. It's not at all unpleasant, and is really easy to drink, and I loved the fact that all the packaging is recyclable; the box, the glass bottles and the aluminium screw tops.

After five days of using the shots, I noticed that my skin seemed to have a more youthful glow. After ten days, I started receiving compliments from others on how good my skin was looking, and being asked what products I use, so this must definitely have had some effect.

I finished the last shot yesterday (day 20), and to be honest, I'm going to miss taking these daily shots. They work out to be $5.20 each if purchased from Chemist Warehouse, and at $157.47 for a month's supply, it is quite pricey and not something I can afford to use on an on-going monthly basis.

I'd love to continue taking these shots every day, but I'll be switching back to a cheaper collagen supplement in tablet form. If you can afford these, I'd definitely recommend them.

Dr LeWinn's nailed it with this collagen shot. The product works unbelievably well. The packaging is convenient. And, most importantly, for me - who can be sensitive to taste and texture in food and drinks - it tastes amazing, and slips down easily.

As instructed, I took one shot a day. The cloudy apple flavour is exactly that. It was delicious, and I looked forward to my daily shot. As for results, I wasn't sure what to expect - and I didn't expect all that much, however I was pleasantly surprised by the changes I experienced.

The first thing I noticed were my nails - they started growing super fast. I found myself clipping them more regularly. Then there was my skin... it looks far plumper and feels firmer. As for my hair? I didn't notice anything - but I think you'd need more than a twenty day supply to see a difference there as hair grows so slowly.

All in all, this trial opened my eyes to a product that I would never have thought to try, and am so glad I did. The only drawback to this product is the price. I'd love to take this shot daily, but at $53 a pack (according to the Chemist Warehouse website), I simply can't afford to do so on a regular basis. However, I would absolutely buy a twenty day supply for those times when my skin needs a boost, or if my nails were in need of some extra care.

I have been a collagen consumer for years and have tried most brands however I hadn’t tried the Dr LeWinns before. I really enjoyed this collagen. Having it in little shot bottles makes it so easy to consume. I would like to try the other flavours as Apple wasn’t my personal favourite but that was not a deal breaker. The reason I like the Dr LeWinns collagen is that I actually can see a difference in my skin and hair. They both seem healthier. My skin is glowing!

When I first tried one, I took the lid off and skulled the shot, after all, it did say they were 'liquid beauty liquid shots!'. I found them very sweet and a little bit thick. They had a lovely apple flavour and I rinsed the bottle out and then drank the water as it still had a faint apple flavour (and I didn't want to waste any!)

Upon reading the Serving Suggestions on the box (always recommended), I discovered that these were best added to still or sparkling water or with a smoothie. I decided to add one to lemonade and discovered the most delicious appleade drink! I also made a point of using lemonade to rinse the bottle out so nothing was left behind.

The box tells us why we need collagen and provides more info about the liquid shots. I'm here to tell you that these really are miracle shots and worked wonders for me.

Firstly, my nails stopped snapping and became so strong. I was even able to use it to turn a screw without it breaking! They feel like they are so strong and rarely break or split.

Secondly, my skin has improved in texture and firmness. Sneaky fine lines that were beginning to appear have stayed away. I also noticed a huge reduction in breakouts.

Lastly, I noticed that my hair wasn't falling out as much and felt in much better condition.

Overall, I did notice a huge improvement in my nails, skin, and hair. The shots became a daily part of my life as I enjoyed my drink with dinner. I would definitely recommend you try this if you are having trouble with brittle nails/ breakouts as it really worked for me.

The convenient single-serving glass bottles make for easy consumption and feel less single-use than plastic. These can be repurposed or recycled.

These taste really lovely, but I know taste is subjective. I think these are much nicer than any supplement I've tried before.

My skin looks much plumper and firmer in just 20 days and my nails feel so much stronger. It' witchcraft in a shot bottle - I love it!

When I received a heavy little box of Dr. LeWinn's Inner Beauty shots I was so intrigued! I had never taken a liquid beauty supplement before, would a beauty drink really work or just another gimmick for all of us chasing eternal youth?

The beauty shots are encased in small glass 50ml bottles (like a little miniature bottle of alcohol) but the very pretty and professional green & silver label tells me this is vegan collagen with hyaluronic acid in a cloudy apple flavor.

I was skeptical that a product like this would taste good however upon twisting the very first bottle open I could smell the pleasant aroma of apples and can confirm they were actually delicious.

These shots can be taken straight or mixed with water - I did not mix as I really enjoyed the taste. I liken it to warm apple juice, and 50ml is a small amount to swig back quickly even if you are not an apple lover.

I repeated the process of 1 shot per day for 20 days (2 boxes of inner beauty shots) and began to notice a slight changes after about 14 days.

My nails were growing very quickly and seemed strong, the tips were whiter and thicker than usual! My skin appeared to seem brighter and less congested, a colleague actually mentioned to me I was glowing! I did not notice any change in my hair but that may come later.

While I did not think the change was dramatic it was slightly more than I anticipated happening within 20 days. I feel it was significant enough to give credit to the beauty shots for such a positive result.

My nails remain long and strong, and my skin brightness and fine lines have improved - if I had continued taking these shots for a longer period I don’t doubt that I would have seen even greater results.

With this product set at a somewhat higher price point likely due to being a luxe label / well known quality brand (approx $59.99 per box of 10) I am pleased to say overall this is a high quality product and value for money - I would (and definitely will) take the Dr LeWinns inner beauty shots again for a beauty boost.

I've always been a Dr Lewinn's fan and used to be obsessed with their skincare line. I've recently moved to Environ so I was really excited to see how these shots went and whether I'd rediscover that love for Dr L.

These shots come in packs of 10 - small glass bottles with a screw cap lid. The flavour is cloudy apple, and it's true to taste - it really does look like concentrated apple juice, and is the most delicious mid-morning drink. I tried them with normal water, on their own and in a smoothie, but by far my favourite way was added to sparkling water. There were a couple of days I forgot to take it and had it late evening, so I found having it with morning tea gave me the routine to remember to have it daily, and it quickly became something I really looked forward to.

So the main thing - results. I haven't noticed any improvement in my hair or nails, but I have always had incredibly thin nails and bleached hair so I'm not surprised. But the skin changes - oh wow!!! A week ago I had a facial appointment with my usual therapist and she commented on how amazing my skin was looking. I've noticed a subtle plumping of the skin, it just looks bouncier but the most noticeable change is that my nasolabial folds are both so much less pronounced, it really is astonishing! (I wish I had taken before and after pics)

While the price point is a little high, a bit of searching found them for around $50 at Chemist Warehouse so if I swap it out for my daily coffee, then I'm no worse off and will have better skin for it.

Dr Lewinn's - I am officially back

I tried this in the form of liquid shots. It was one shot a day for a period of 20 days. I used the apple flavour and mixed the shot with a glass of water. It has a pleasant taste, just like drinking apple juice. It's easy to take and by consuming it, the product works from the inside out. It's easier that applying lots of creams and lotions. There was no immediate effect but towards the end of the usage period, I did notice that my skin was looking better. It feels more hydrated, much less dryer than normal and it looks brighter too. My hair condition has improved with added gloss. My nails are getter stronger and longer. I would recommend the product for longer term results.
