Holy Grail polish?

This could very well be one of my HG nail polishes (after my Essie of course). I really love this formula, it's not too thick, not too thin, creamy and goes on smoothly. I also adore the brush, my favourite type of brush is the flattened squarish ones I find they apply and spread the product so much better than regular brushes. I have horrible nails, they're flaky, weak and dry as heck - this is one of the only formulas that lasts on my nails, it doesn't chip, flake or peel and lasts for 5+ days without wear! Amazing. Will definitely be picking up more shades in the future.

Love love love

So I was an OPI only girl until I got a free bottle of the colour 'get juiced' when I spent a certain amount on Sally Hansen products at Farmers. As soon as I started applying this I fell in love with everything! The brush is amazing, it makes applying so much neater. Not to mention that the color is gorgeous! Bit of a pinky coral colour. I have since bought three other colours, all have impressed me. When dried they are all super shiney and I find the polish last ages without going dull or chipping as if they have a top coat which is great for those nights when you remember last minute you need to put polish on and don't have time for base or top coat! So I have had my oldest bottle for quite awhile and is nearly empty but they polish hasn't gotten thicker and is still as easy to apply as the day I got it.

Tips: Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Hands down the easiest polish to apply

The wide brush makes it super easy to do three strokes and cover your nail without a lot of excess on the sides. I love Grey-t escape, I've purchased it twice not realising I have the colour already! It's an easy to wear all-season colour, great coverage, lasts with minimal chipping and I can easily touch up later in the week and it looks seamless, not like I've added a glob over a chip. I do a double coat, but it's not needed. I love the staying power, easy to apply brush and lovely purple grey colour.

Tips: Google youtube videos for how to apply nailpolish like a pro - it's the three stroke application that can easily be learned and save you all the hassle of extra application - the wide brush on this product also helps achieve an easy application!

Best nail polish Ive used!

I normally buy $2 nail polish from Kmart but they were having a special on their Sally Hansen salon manicure nail polish for $5 so I brought to one try. I picked the colour bamboo which is a light brown skin tone colour.

Applying this is so easy, the formula is more runny compared to the $2 nail polish im used to buying so you only use small amounts and it has a faster dry time. I put 5 coats on to get a really nice and even finish to my nails. When I wear this nail polish it last at least a week without chipping or fading, I am most impressed! I wash a lot of dishes and clean a lot with 2 kids in my home and this nail polish doesn't budge!

I would gladly pay full price for this nail polish as it is terrific! Quick, easy and lasts a long time, highly recommend!

I love this!!

This has to be hands down, one of the best nail polishes I've ever used. I bought this product in the shade 'Honey Whip' from an importers clearance. I didn't have any brown/neutral shades in my ever growing nail polish collection, and I really liked the look of this one. The bottle itself is cute, and fits nicely on my shelf. The brush is probably the best thing about this brush. Instead of your usual triangle (I guess??) shape on the brush, its long and flat like a paintbrush. It makes applying SO MUCH EASIER. I was smitten the first time I used it. The consistency of the nail polish isn't thick, but it isn't overly runny either. I've had it for almost a year and while I don't use it often, I'm not halfway through the bottle yet. For this particular shade, I found two coats was enough to make the color opaque. I will definitely be repurchasing this product, and quite possibly in other shades.

Tips: Always wipe the brush on the rim of the bottle, getting off excess amounts of polish. When applying, rather than doing loads of brushing, do three simple swipes of the polish on your nail. One down the middle, right, and then the left. This helps you to see how much polish you need (I found it helped me, anyway) and it dries a lot faster, and doesn't get cakey and jagged because the polish is drying and you're still applying.

My Favourite Nail Polish

I wasn't a huge fan of Sally Hansen nail polish until I tried this range. After I bought on bottle I was instantly converted. I LOVE these nail polishes and I am now a fan of Sally Hansen nail polishes (the Sally Hansen polishes I previously owned were quite old and obviously the formula has changed). Since buying my first one and loving it, I have purchased almost half the range I think. I have the red, pink, purple, light blue and navy.

Colour - I love the colours of these nail polishes. The colour that comes off the brush and onto your nail is exactly like the colour in the bottle. I always hate it when you purchase nail polish and when you apply it it doesn't look anything like it does in the bottle. The polish is quite bold and pigmented, so its not sheer.

Application - these polishes are so easy to apply. The formula is really smooth and doesn't leave streak lines when you apply it on your nail. I found it really easy to get a good smooth finish on my nail with only one or two coats, and fills the ridges in my bail nicely. This nail polish is put too thin so you don't need to keep applying heaps and heaps of layers. With the darker colours I only needed one coat, but with the others I use two and find it gives my nail good coverage with no see through patches. This nail polish isn't particularly fast drying, but does dry quicker than other polishes I have used.

Brush - I love the brush on these polishes. It's bigger and wider than your normal brush.Think flat rectangular shaped. ButI find it easier to apply with this type of brush as it covers more of my nail and you don't need as many stokes to get the polish over your whole nail. The three stroke application is really easy with this brush. The brush can almost cover my whole pinky nail!

Longevity - this polish lasts about 5-6 days without chipping. But I usually use a top and base coat with these polishes which makes it last about 7-10 without chipping. This nail polish is also super shiny as its got a built in top coat. I find that it doesn't leave my nails brittle or weak either. The nail polish is quite easy to remove as well. I've had my polishes for about a year now and they are just as good when I bought them. They haven't gone gloopy, separated or hardened at all. I do keep them in a dry, dark place away from direct sunlight. There's quite a bit in one bottle too (which is why they have lasted for a year, and they are no way near empty).

Packaging - I love the unique design of the bottle. It's a mix of a round and square bottle, with a rounded bottle lid/handle and straight square edges.

Would I recommend this - yes, defiantly. They are definitely worth your money. I am a huge fan of OPI nail polish, and I think these polishes a just as good as OPI. And the best part is is that they are about half the price! I get mine from farmers on sale, and I saw these at countdown the other day too, so are widely available.

Tips: Even though it has a built in top coat, I like to use an extra layer of top coat on top as it gives it a super glossy shine and makes it last even longer.

670 - Midnight in NY

I have never particularly liked black polish but this black is amazingly nicer than I would have thought. The brush is shaped so it's easier to apply without going over the edges & it lasts for weeks. Midnight in NY has a slight sparkle / shimmer which makes it different from just bold black polishes.

Tips: Because the colour is solid, when my nails needed a quick spruce up before a meeting, I was able to put another coat ontop without removing the old colour & it looked like I had just had a complete manicure.

Sally must be in my DNA

I think my love my for Sally Hansen is genetic! This is my mom's favourites nail polish, so many of her and my friends swear by this brand, so as a kid this was naturally my favourite brand (being a copy cat) but now that I'm a big girl I have a deeper love for Sally.

My job has me typing away at a keyboard, rumaging through clients files and documents so my hands are constantly getting knocked about. As you can tell my nails need a nail polish that will stand the test of time.

This nail polish is beautifully opaque, silky smooth and diamond glossy. Application is so easy because it glides on with a few strokes of the brush and you're left with a colour intense finish that doesnt streak or bubble up.

I love that this nail polish is thick, because you dont have to apply a million coats to get a colour rich intensity. Just one coat will definitely suffice but I do prefer to use 2 coats, just because I like my nails to be loud. :)

I love how long wearing this nail polish is because I can go through an entire week bashing hands around and it doesnt chip. Yep, it's like this nail polish is bonded to your nails in marriage.

I have so many colours in this range but my favourite would have to be "All fired up". Its a gorgeous burnt orange red that goes great with my skin tone and I always get lovely compliments wearing this colour.

I definitely recommend this to people who are looking for a long wearing, opaque and glossy nail polish. Its going to be and Sally together for a very long time to come.

Tips: For maximum durability, use a top coat over the nail polish.

Always use 2 coats of nail polish for deep colour intensity.

I love the brush!!

Yes ok so I'll start with the brush on this. It's awesome! It's flat! It's kind of wide so requires less strokes to cover the nail. Normal polishes have the normal round shape and skinny brush.

The bottle shape I really like as it's easy to hold and twist to open. There is a strip of a rubber grip at the base of the brush holder. Easy to hold as you apply the colour.

I have Good to Grape. It's a lovely light or pastel purple colour. I like to apply 2 coats to make sure there is a good coverage. Since I have been using this and others in the range my nails are growing. They are hard as well!

Now I need to say I HATE NAIL POLISH!!! Yes I do! Why? Because it never blimmin sticks to my finger nails. It always chips and falls off the same day I put it on. Now I need to say I LOVE THIS NAIL POLISH!! This range sticks! It doesn't chip right away. Yes it will chip but I can get a week of wear out of this.

Now I can happily report, now that I have found something that works, I'm now trying to do pretty nails, wee bits of "nail art" I'm learning, but enjoying it at the same time

Tips: Have clean nails and do it when you won't get interrupted. I do one hand first to let it dry then the other. Then I always have a free hand just in case

Shell We Dance, Kook A Mango

I have Shell We Dance which is like the perfect soft barely there but there pink and Kook A mango, an orange red in my eyes.

I had never heard of this brand before until I saw everyone talking about it on the BRA page so I knew I NEEDED (hehe) to give them a go myself. I usually hate painting because it takes hooours for the polish to fully dry, smudges like crazy while waiting so have to start again about 50 million times and then chips within only days! Who has time to sit around for hours and then having to do it all again in the next day or so!? Not me.

I LOVE these polishes though and throughly enjoy redoing my nails with them. The colours are so beautiful and I only need to do one coat with these.

The brush is different to any other nail polish brush I've seen before, but I really really like it. It's like the shape of a finger nail if that makes sense. This makes it much easier to apply the polish, without causing a mess around your fingers.

The polish itself lasts much longer on my nails than any other. It lasts around a week before it starts to chip and you need to redo. Much better than a couple of days!

I couldn't recommend these polishes enough, I can now say I have pretty nails because of these and I'm not ashamed to show my nails. The colours and the bottle itself are stunning. Oh and the price is pretty darn good too compared to others! Like seriously how could you go wrong?
