Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer Review

Ive purchased this the last three times Ive needed primer. Firstly from Farmers store then from Splash store on Trademe for alot cheaper. Ive love firstly the pump lid for quick mess free application (until i get to the end and cant get the last of it out) It applys on very smooth and lightweight so much so i cant feel i have even applied it at all. It pumps out white but rubs and absorbs into skin clear. There really isnt any drying/absorbing time required before starting to apply foundation or concealer. I definitley notice that my foundation glides on much easier when i use this primer and i have a nice smooth finish. It also helps my makeup to stay on longer through the day even after training at the gym. I do however generally keep this primer away from any fine lines around my eyes as it seems to make them worse in appearnce

Overall if purchased cheaply i think it is a great primer that really helps give a smooth look after foubdation and would reccomend to friends

Found this for a reasonable price from a trade me seller, I found it to reduce any redness on my face, but unfortunately I felt it made my pores stand out a lot more. I prefer to use it when I'm not wearing any foundation as I feel it makes my lines and pores (the bits I'm trying to hides the most) stand out. The smell is a little unpleasent but I love the feel of it when applying to my skin. It feels really light and spreads really well. I'm not too bothered bout the price as I got it discounted, but definitely wouldn't pay full price nor think its worth it. Will use until for finished, but will be looking for a better quality one next time.

This primer goes on really nicely and leaves the skin feeling extremely smooth and matt. POres are minimised, makeup lasts a lot longer and foundation doesn't slide off.

I have combination skin with an oily T-zone and found the primer to be quite drying and mattifying on my cheeks. I use a Revlon Foundation over it which works well if I don't use a lot of powder, but I did have another foundation and the primer dried it out so much the foundation was flaking off in little lumps. I'll continue using it with my present foundation because its expensive and I don't want to waste it, but I'll be switching brands once it's gone :)

I found this to be great for everyday use - i have both the photoready primers and think they do a great job. I really like the way it combines with the photoready foundations aswell. The pump bottle is great , it can go from bottle to brush and you dont need worry about using hands. It blends like a dream. Ive frequently used it without foundation just to even out my skin tone on "makeup"free days.

I do like this primer, I think that it does do what it says it will do and I notice my makeup definitely does last longer when I use it.

However, I would say it is a pretty standard primer and for the price being around $30-40 in Farmers I would recommend spending a little bit extra to get something a slightly higher quality.

We bought this with a haul of other Revlon products for the purpose of salon use and doing ball make up. I used on my client and at first it seemed to stick to all her dry areas and left a white look on her face I took off and ensured her skin was well moisturized. The second time round it seemed to go on well and much better then when it came to blending the bottom part of her face it seemed to be peeling off and leaving flakes. I guess you need to get your foundation on fast and do not blend too much or this will happen. I have tried other primers and I much prefer them I took the Revlon one off once again and we used mine and had no problem. This primer comes in a handy pump like the photo ready foundations which we were using after the primer but it is not something I would buy again or tell anyone else to. Seeing the price above makes me wish I went with my gut instinct and decided against it. Has a big description but you can find others out there that will do that for less money.

I love this primer! It hides redness which is excellent for the days i don't feel like wearing foundation, i just apply some primer and it looks good. Its not greasy at all, just leaves my skin really soft and smooth. I found it is a good base for my foundation, the best one I've tried so far!

This has to be my favourite primer. It goes on easily and leaves my skin smooth and really soft which I love! as my skin is quite dry at times. It controls the oily parts of my face and allows for my powder or foundation to go smoothly over top.

I pretty much only use Revlon face products at the moment, and they're really good. I have the shade 001 which is the lightest shade, and it blends in so well with my skin. I have normal skin on my cheeks and dry skin in my T-zone, but this primer works the same in both areas.
