When I first go my legs waxed I liked the smooth feeling so much that I decided to buy this to try at home. (I didnt have spare $55 for waxing every month)
As the description says, try this if you have enough time because sometimes it does take a while. The wax comes in a pot with heat sensitive stick/spatula and cotton strips all packaged inside a cardbox.
The wax is pretty hard and dark brown. Smells like honey and sugar. You need to zap it in the microwave for a minute or so depending on the microwave voltage and the amount of product in the tub. I made sure my skin was dry (no moisturiser or oil) and the work area was covered with newspaper.
The wax should be like thick runny honey. Always test on wrist for correct temperature. Apply towards the hair growth and before it cools rub the cloth on it to make it stick. Holding the skin taut pull against the hair growth. The strips can be used atleast three times before it stops picking up hair. Might have to use twice in an area depending on the hair type. Although be careful if you have fragile skin. It leaves my legs feeling smooooothhh. I just clean off the residue with warm flannel and apply a rich moisturiser. I used it for my underarms as well. Wont work very well if deodorant is not washed of properly.
The two things I am not happy with is that the wax cools down quickly especially in winter and I have to keep warming it. Also the wax strips never enough. I find that its easier to save the previous boxes strips by washing it in hot soapy water and keeping it for next time. It does clean up nicely but use only for your own personal use. I also cut the strips in half for my underarms.
Its a good product overall and I still have one in my cupboard.
I am someone who is always trying to get rid of excess hair! I was over the mood to finally find a cheap alternative to salon waxing. When purchasing this wax I was very spectacle. Every other supermarket wax I have brought has either burnt me, stuck to my skin or didn't pull any hair off!
There is many great features to this wax. One of the things I loved was that the spatula told you if the wax was too hot or not.
Part of the reason why I hate doing wax by myself is the sticky residue that you have and can't seem to get off your skin afterwards. Not with this wax! It comes off with water!!
The only minus I can this of is that there isn't enough fabric strips in the box.
Tips: Be patient, you may have to keep heating the wax up if you are doing a large area!
