very expensive for something that didn't work

My youngest had eczema all over his face and nappy rash. As he was only 6 months old I wanted to try something natural and I got this from my chemist as the list of things it claimed to help with was quite extensive. Instead I found out that we wasted $50 as it didn't even help one bit. I contacted oasis and they said to apply the cream every few hours but yeap that made no difference either.

On the plus side it smells good and I just use it on myself if my hands get really dry.

Put some Rhino on it!

When I first saw this I though meh, just another moisturiser thinking it's all that, I've tried plenty of those. Then Oasis Beauty had a sale and I managed to pick up a pot of this in the old tub packaging at a $10 steal! $10 for a natural moisturiser, I'll always give that a go!

It has a sweet fragrance that almost makes me want to eat it up, but it's not obtrusive so suitable for kiddies and menfold. The oaty-coloured cream has a thick consistency which still absorbs easily into the skin, instantly nourishing the offending area. I've been suprised by just how often I use this on both myself and others!

- On rashes of various kinds - allergies, 'stubble rash', shaving rash - On cracked heels in summer - On dry, flaky skin in winter - As a soothing post-wax cream - On itchy bites

During a holiday in summer, I lost count of the amount of times I told my boyfriend to 'put some Rhino' on painful sunburn since it felt so good!

This is one of the few things I always take away with me, and knowing how much I use it I will happily repurchase a tube before this one runs out. If you haven't tried it yet, what are you waiting for?!

Where has this been all my life??

In the winter especially, my right hand suffers quite bad dermatitis, and steroid creams really do nothing to help. I have really just got the point of getting used to it, but when I started hearing such awesome things about this product I figured I had nothing to lose by giving it a try. Well since I got it (I bought it from our local Hardy's since I didn't want to wait haha) my hands have been amazing. I used it every couple of hours to start with while my hands were bad, and in a couple of days (I think it was the 3rd day I really thought wow that's incredible) my hands were clear and smooth. Now I just apply a few times a day to keep my hands moiturised, as that helps to prevent it. Basically well worth the $40.50 I paid for it, and will certainly be repurchasing. I don't care that much for the scent, but it's not horrible and for these results I'd put up with anything really.

A good, solid go-to balm

I actually won a tube of this from Oasis before I tried it myself, but that tube was destined for my brother and his family as their skincare needs were greater than mine at the time. I eventually got my hands on a sample to try (as we all know, Oasis samples are huge) and I'm kind of glad I didn't have the whole tube.

The tube is a practical, user-friendly design - probably more so than the sample pottle, but I'm not going to complain about the free, generous sample!

The product is white and has a herbal, powdery kind of scent which I don't find pleasant, and is one of the factors that puts me off using it.

It DOES work - I've tried it on abrasions, eczema, rough skin, kids hands...all sorts. But so do other things, and the scent and price of those other things suits me better.

I can see that this would be enough of a miracle product for some people that they could get past the scent...I'm not one of those people, unfortunately. Oasis make seriously amazing products, and I'm sure that this counts as one of them for many...it's just not my cup of tea :)

Good product

I have tried a lot of different creams for eczema over the years and this one actually delivers. It takes the itch out of skin and softens dry skin.

In love

I absolutely love this product! it certainly is an all in one i use it mainly on my lips and face. It has majorly helped hydrate and sooth my lips and on my skin it has dramatically helped decrease my acne and acne scars, the product smells sweet and the texture is the same as any other moisturizer only a little thicker. It can leave you feeling a wee bit greasy which ive found even on my oily skin it isn't a problem it has even helped reduce my oiliness.

Tips: use once per day only

Not made from Rhinos but just as tough!

I first heard about Rhino Repair thought BR, and then later I bought their sample kit thing which included this in it. I was so super happy to get it, as it was apparently very good for lots of different things.

The potion (let's face it, it's straight sorcery) is an off white color, and is quite runny but it rubs in really well and doesn't leave a weird residue. I was waiting for an opportunity to use this and lo and behold, I burnt my arm badly. A few weeks after I had done so, I made sure it was healed before I started applying this. I did it daily for a few months and the scar has now disappeared almost completely, with just a slight brown discoloration showing me where it was.

As it is a non-topical cream you can literally use it on anything, which I do. I had mysterious bumps under my eyes, applied this and goodbye bumps! And I've not had a problem with them there again. This is a gem of a product and I would probably repurchase it in its glorious full size.

Works wonders!

My upper arms tend to get dry and flakey and my normal lotions do a great job at keeping it at bay however I wanted to give Rhino Repair a go since the reviews were amazing. I bought the purple/white tube from Aromatherapy Extracts in Auckland CBD for $39.90 which is pricey but it tends to become trivial once you see the product working its magic.

It's a white semi thick cream that is easily massaged and absorbed into the skin without any film, residue or greasiness left behind. When I tested this out at the store, I didn't like the smell but I didn't pay too much attention to it because I didn't think it would be overpowering.

However I wasn't really prepared for the scent which in hindsight I could take in small doses but since I was applying it to my upper arms the scent rubbed off on my clothes and became too much. It smells like flat chocolate mixed with a faint hint of vanilla and most things vanilla turns my stomach.

The scent aside the product did wonders for my skin. The first week my upper arms remained moisturised until I washed off the cream and I could detect it was still flakey but by the 3rd week it was smooth with no sign of dry skin or flakiness.

I managed to use this for a month until the scent became too much so I passed it onto my cousin who at the time had extremely dry hands (i.e. ashy knuckles and cracked skin).

Within 2 weeks her hands were on the road to recovery and after 2 months they were almost as good as rejuvenated! I would recommend this product to others if they can get past the scent. Alternatively you could always request a sample from Oasis Beauty website or if you're in the area pop down to Aromatherapy Extracts and try it out.

Miracle Worker

I first tried Oasis Beauty Rhino Repair when I got a little sample pottle in the Oasis Beauty GoodieBag that I'd ordered. Little did I know, this miracle cream would become a staple go-to item in our house!

After realising what a gem this product is, I immediately ordered a full sized tube and it's been used on everything from cuts and grazes to chapped, cracked hands, heels and lips, on sebaceous dermatitis and even my poor kitty's nose when he had Cat Flu and his little nose was so dry it looked painful.

The large family-size 150ml squeeze tube has funky ombre burgundy stripes and the cream inside is an off-white colour with a consistency that is neither thick or runny but somewhere in-between. Rhino Repair is easy to spread (even through hair onto a dry scalp) and is absorbed quickly without leaving a greasy residue. The only time there has ever been any kind of residue is when I've accidentally applied too much to one particular area.

The smell of the cream is a little unusual and is probably from the combination of Aloe and Chamomile but I don't find it to be unpleasant, it's just a very herbal smell.

Would I recommend it? Yes, definitely and I bought another 150ml tube this morning! I really do like the fact that this topical lotion can be used on the entire family (FurKids included) for all sorts of ailments and it really works! I feel that it should be an essential item in any home or First Aid Kit.

It's also available in a smaller 50ml "travel sized" tube.

Tips: If you have problem areas like cracked, chapped hands (or lips), apply a small amount frequently throughout the day. This will help keep the area hydrated and supple while it heals.

Works GREAT

i decided to give this a go since hearing the reviews on the product. Managed to buy online which was really handy. I get small breakouts of ezcema from time to time, I rubbed a smal amount on my face, arms and hands. it gave a cooling effect, instantly healing my skin and restoring the moisture back. Love the product and the Rhino range, they really helped my skin bring back its natural moisture
