Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara - Waterproof

I'm always on the lookout for new mascaras that are waterproof and lengthening. The description for this macara and the packaging both appealed to me so I was very excited to get on this trial team! The brush comes with short plastic/silicone bristles, which I don't really like because I prefer longer bristles that make it easier to separate each individual eyelash and coat them fully. And just as I expected, it clumped up slightly when I tried to apply using the brush. In the end I had to use a clean spoolie to brush out my lashes after each coat of mascara which was a bit inconvenient. It definitely helped define my lashes more and gave more volume, but I had to recurl my lashes (which are normally stick straight) after applying 2 coats. The product inside the tube does feel quite liquidy right now since it's new and from past experience old mascara that's had time to become 'thicker' seems to hold up my lashes better. It survived my errand day well and I wore it for a good full day plus a workout with minimal undereye smudging. Granted, towards the end of the day it was basically gone and my eyelashes had flopped but miraculously there was no black smudges. Removal with a biphase eye makeup remover was relatively effortless and after I washed my face with cleanser it was all gone,

Overall I'd recommend this for it's 0 flakiness and 0 smudging, and it would be good if you naturally have curly lashes that just need a bit of extra oomph. But not quite holy grail for people with flat and droopy lashes, also it's got a little bit of clumping which isn't a huge deal breaker.

If you read the description on this product it is extremely accurate. The length this product creates is nuts. Other mascaras I have used that have created this length tend to flake during the day. This product does not do that. I was very impressed by this. Only negative with this is that when you remove your makeup it takes a lot to get rid of all the black mascara flakes. I did find it took several layers to get the fullness and length I like.

I would say the only thing that this mascara doesn't do is add volume. It is better at creating length.

I found this mascara easy to use, the bristles nicely picked up each lash which gave great definition and also little clumping. I found it easy to apply more layers to give greater volume and length without my lashes feeling stiff. By the end of the day, there was no smearing or smudging- a total winner! I'm really pleased with this mascara.

Consistency is great ,not too thick, did not clump,noticed that my eyelashes looked longer. easy to use, the applicator was good. My mascara lasted all day and did not run. I found you did not need to use too much to get good coverage, i sampled the Very Black colour- 802.

I'm one for natural lashes and like to wear mascara but don't like to have my lashes full on thick looking. Loved this mascara right away as it went on easily and wasn't clumpy at all. Lashes still felt relatively soft afterwards and felt and looked natural. Not 'Sky High' but I suppose if you did a few layers you could get a longer look. At the end of the day my lashes still felt fabulous and with just my usual cleanser the mascara came off easily unlike some waterproof mascaras I've used previously. The container is a cool metallic pink and the lid clicks into place which is awesome as you know it won't accidentally unscrew. The wand comes out with just the right amount on it and it's nice and flexible to glide over all of your lashes.

I was really surprised when I tried this mascara. In my experience waterproof mascara has always been thick and gluggy to apply. This mascara was a more liquid formula than any I've tried before - waterproof or non-waterproof. That meant the final effect was a more subtle, natural look than I'm used to with waterproof mascara.

I usually take a few tries to get used to a new mascara brush, but this flexible brush was easy to use straight away - no clean-up required from getting mascara all over my eyelid!

The mascara happily lasted all day without smudging. Out of curiosity I tried to remove it with my regular face wash and very little of it shifted. I came out of the shower without even acquiring panda eyes.

I've been very impressed with this mascara. It seems to have all the advantages of waterproof mascara with none of the disadvantages. Winning!

I got picked to review this mascara, i was pretty happy, but also a bit skeptical. I haven't been able to wear mascara for awhile now, i have some eye issues that make them water alot, several times a day.. so wearing something that isn't fully waterproof ends up all over my face! I have used a few in the past that just couldn't hack it. Things i loved about it: I love the flex the wand has, made it a lot easier to use! I loved the way it looked! i went from not much eye lash to wow where did they come from! they were thick and long, i loved it! the first few days i tested it were very watery eye days, and this stuff stayed so well! there was no smudging, running or wipe marks. it actually took a few goes over to remove, i even wore it in the shower and it didn't budge (although i think with a vigorous face wash it would have come off) now to the things i didn't like, there was only one.. it was a little too clumpy, i did have to brush it out a bit, but that wasn't a super big deal. I would definitely buy this again

I love mascara and very rarely purchase the same one time after time - its just such an easy product to keep trying new ones!

I love the wand on this - it catches every lash and zigzags through them with ease. The product formula is the perfect consistency - not too thick, not too watery.

It adds length and volume and I think you an build coats without heading into spider lash territory,

You'll need a good oil based cleanser to get this off without scrubbing - it's long wear fo' sure!

I do recommend giving this a try, its a great longwear, everyday mascara...and who doesn't need one of those?!

Firstly - the packaging is just lovely, a cute addition to the makeup bag.

The wand is pretty neat, its flexible but still quite sturdy so it doesn't bend when putting it in the tube.

I use 2 coats to get the look I like, which is full lashes, but not MLM mascara lashes (YOU know the brand I mean right!).

I use my usual eye makeup remover pads to take it off, and it does take a bit of rubbing, but eventually comes off clean.

I'd use this again and recommend it to my friends and fam-bam.

I love the funky tube, it's not too young, but has a cool vibe - I'd gravitate towards it in store.

The wand is another level. Different than anything I've used before - it sort of winds around your lashes, coating them all.

Full points for lastability - it's not gong to run or come off unless you want it too.

It also really wins on adding length to lashes, so if you have stumpy lashes this is a great mascara for you!
