Maybelline Volum' Express the Colossal Review

I picked this Mascara up in a rush after dropping the collection cosmetics mascara I actually wanted and its smashing on the ground. I was in a hurry so didn't realise I had picked up the brown shade which was very disappointing.

I have been using this mascara for over a month now and have not been blown away by it. At first, it went on well, added volume and seemed to be a good quality mascara but I am finding it has already gone off a bit, its way stickier and makes my lashes clump together.

The brown shade isn't as bad as I initially thought it would be. its good for those days when you don't want super dramatic lashes but its still pretty dark. i don't mind the packaging either, the bright yellow is very cheery and its easy to open and close.

The mascara comb isn't the type I Like. It is quite bulky so I find it very hard to get into the roots and outside lashes. It also makes lower lash application very difficult.

I probably wouldn't repurchase this again both because of the formula and because the comb was not sleek enough for my liking.

So I was introduced to this by another teacher who had such beautiful, long, thick lashes thanks to the colossal so I decided to try it and it did thicken my lashes and give them length but I found that my lashes clumped up. The packaging is so petite and bright so its easy to locate and transport.

I usually love Maybelline's mascaras! They're usually spot on and make my naturally short lashes look thick, full and long, however, this particular mascara really made my lashes clump together which I hate!

Could probably work fine on someone with longer lashes but as mine are quite short it made them instantly stick together :(

Works a charm for quick touch ups. Adds good volume for when I'm growing back my lashes between extensions. Gives a natural yet glam look.

I find paying so much for a mascara quite hard on the pockets but it's very long lasting and can last up to months so I don't mind forking out the money because it is quite worth it.

The packaging isn't to feminine and really effective.

This isnt the best mascara ive tried, it put too much product on for my liking, had to get an older dry mascara wand to remove and divide my lashes to how i like it. also had a bit of a weird smell..

A lot of people really love this mascara but its not really for me! I already have long eyelashes so when I used this product they went TOO long if that's possible.I also found that it clumped my eyelashes together and I prefer the more natural look with mascara - I like it too look as if I'm not wearing much. So I don't recommend if you prefer the more natural look but this would be fabulous for lengthening and thickening!

I used this mascara for well over a year, didn't really notice my lashes looking collosal though. I have moved on to a new mascara now that it has run out. It doesn't clump, it's easy to apply, it does make the lashes look longer but I have found better mascaras that create a longer look like They're Real by Benefit.

I have read the others' reviews and wonder "what's wrong with me?" because I have found this a clumsy product. The container is quite large and the results I get are a bit hit and miss. Possibly it's because I wear glasses and cannot see my lashes clearly, but with the coarser container and brush there can need to be a clean up or patch up later! However, I shall persevere, I only purchased it recently, and hope things improve.

I got this online and sorry to say it does not give "9x" the volume if you want a satisfying result you need to keep applying more coats I have tried other varieties of this brand and been happier with them but this is a good product it does give nice volume and length. For the price above I would buy another type though. The one I have is glam brown the packaging is good like the others from the brand so you can mix up the lids and brushes I only paid $5 for mine in an online deal so I am happy but for me the results on my lashes but I think the claims are not true and you can get equal results or better with some of the variety from the same brand of mascaras

I use this on the daily. The formula for this mascara is very good it coats my lashes and gives them volume. I wouldn't say 9x the volume instantly as I have to apply at least twice the coats of mascara to get nice volume. I find for this Maybelline mascara has a good brush easy to use. A good daily mascara not my favourite one though.
