Thank you for the opportunity to try Maybelline's Superstay Matte Lip Ink. In the past I've always worn a lip gloss or stain, and had never tried a matte before. "Pioneer" is a fabulous colour. I loved the bold look, but struggled with the application. I found it hard to get the right edge/shape, and it was hard to correct my mistakes. On my 1st attempt I didn't use a lip liner, and ended up with feathering/bleeding at the edges. uch better day 2, so maybe I just need more practise. The texture felt rather tacky, but that's probably because I'm use to a gloss. I loved the colour. It lasted well (great when you're out as you don't have to keep reapplying), but unfortunately it did transfer easily (cups, glasses, water bottle...) I will continue to use it, as I love the look.

Apply liquid lipstick to the centre of your upper lip and follow the contours of your top lip. Then, Glide the liquid lipstick across the entire bottom lip. Ensure you allow the product to dry. The Matte Lip Ink did what it said on the pack! It's super pigmented and stays put. The consistency was thin and smooth, and it dried quickly unlike some similar products I've tried, so no issues with smudging. The colour was far lighter than the swatch indicated, and if I was purchasing again I'd go for a more vibrant shade to make the most of the pigment.
Tips: I found the easiest way to remove it was with oil - my normal routine of warm water and a cotton pad didn't budge it at all.
I bought the shade "seductress" as I was looking for a good nude matte. This definitely is a great nude for me. It is matte. It does go on well- the applicator has a little hole/reservoir in the middle to hold more product which makes it good to apply without constantly going back to the tube. It stays really well once dried down (mostly), is transfer/kiss-proof for me, and can withstand a small amount of non-greasy eating.
For me, the downsides are that it takes an age to dry down, so you have to pull a face like an amazed fish for far too long, and even when dry, it's still sticky. The stickiness annoys me because it sticks to itself, and then becomes patchy at the water line as it drags itself off your lips.
The stickiness you can sort of fix by either applying a gloss, or gently brushing a little translucent powder- but then it's either not matte, or quite drying. I probably won't buy it again when I pan it, I think there are others which are better and cheaper, but I will use it to match the colour to.
Tips: A good lip scrub and balm pre-application is a good idea, as it dries down, it does tend to make lip texture more pronounced.
I kinda like this Lip product but it doesn't dry the way I want it so it's a bit sticky like a drying glue consistency. I like that it's really long lasting even when I eat greasy or oily food, it stays on my lips. I can absolutely say that it does what it should do but it's something that I wouldn't use for everyday but on certain occasions where I need a really long lasting lipstick, I would use this. I love all their nude-ish shades as I'm someone who wears those kind of shades and it compliments my skin.
Overall, I would use it again but not for everyday.
OK, I do not know where I stand on this product! First of all, the pricepoint is amazing, its super pigmented and I love the scent (vanilla-ry), and it does last the whole day BUT it just doesn't seem to work for me. Because it is matte, I have tried putting lipbalm on before application to give my lips some moisture, but then the lip ink doesnt stick and it just turns out to be an ugly mess. If I use it on clean, dry lips it looks great but is suuuuuper sticky and if your lips get dry it once again goes weird with lipbalm and gives uneven coverage. If I eat or drink with it, the inner part comes off but the outside is still perfect so requires a slight touch up.
I do like this product, but I am super conscious of how sticky it makes my lips and need to check it often to make sure there is still even coverage. And it doesnt budge. I have to use makeup remover to get it off. For a night out, I would recommend 100% but for a full days wear in the office a bit too uncomfortable for me.
Tips: Wait to buy until Maybelline is on sale at your local supermarket!
Well, I have to admit I absolutely loved the colour! when applying the product I found the applicator a little odd with a hole in the middle of the sponge-like end. Maybe this is a new thing but it did prevent me from having to redip to apply more and it didnt leak out when applying so that was great. The first day I used it found it lasted most of the day I was actually quite impressed as the most colour starts to disappear within hours but this product I managed to get a good 8 hours out of it, so a big thumbs up. The second day is where things fell apart a little I was disappointed at a function I went to my lip colour left lumpy lip ink on my wine glass and this wasn't just a small amount either it was clearly obvious (don't worry I know you are never going to prevent that) but compared to the other ladies my glass looked terribly worse and obvious. Overall I would use it again sparingly maybe with a non-sheen lip moisturiser to help prevent transfer and the colour is absolutely fantastic.
Tips: Use a lip moisturiser to help prevent transfer to glasses when out to functions.

I looooooveee the shades! I have "Lover" and "Voyager". Both are easy to work with, glides on easily and great colour pay-off.
However, for some reason, it doesn't stay on me longer than 3 hours! I exfoliate and applies some lip balm before application but it just still wouldn't stay long at all. :(
Love the way the wand applies the color to the lips, makes it very easy to apply. Unfortunately half way through the day it gets tacky and does not feel the best . It seemed to last most of the day even in its sticky state! I liked the pink shade l chose , and it seemed to have agood coverage and pigments. But would only ,buy it on sale if purchasing again.
Have this product in multiple colours and love every single one of them! So Matte and pigmented literally in love! My personal favourites have to be Lover and Dreamer! And another perk of this Lip ink its so hydrating unlike many other lip inks I own!
As a more mature woman I look for lippies that won't bleed into the lines around my mouth. This most certainly achieves my goal. However, it is sticky and you need to keep your mouth open for a while to let it dry. As the matte finish is not ideal for me I top it with a wee coating of a slightly more moisturising and shiny lipstick which adheres really well. The result is a good feel and lasting finish.
Tips: If you're going to add another layer over the top start with a light colour in the first place. I use Poet.
