MAC lipsticks have always been my favourite. They come in such a range of colour and finishes (some better than the other) but it's such a variety for people with every skin tone.

Tips: Some matte and retro matte lipsticks may need a primer before hand
As a self confessed lip junkie, saying I love Mac lipsticks would be an understatement!! I own a total of 5 Mac lipsticks and I plan to get many many more and let me tell you why. The colour selection is amazing. As a darker skin tone I feel as though the mainstream makeup line's do not carry enough shades to suit us. All we get is the maroons and the berry's. Mac on the other hand has a large selection suitable for anyone. Whether your looking for a dark lip to a nude. My favourite nude for my nc 43-44 is Taupe and fast play. Staying power is pretty good. I apply a coat in the morning and usually do not need to reapply till lunch time. Number of finishes. There is a finish in Mac lipstick for everyone and the lipsticks have a very pleasant smell. Overall I love the lipsticks and although the price is a little steep in NZ compared to the U.S. I will still continue to use and purchase them.
Tips: Best colours. Diva, Rebel, Cream in your Coffee, and the infamous Ruby Woo.
MAC are winning in every lipstick they make from matte to metallic they have it all! At $40 they are a little steeper then your average lippy but your sure get a lot more for your buck. I own several MAC lipsticks and swear by them! Especially the Matte range the wear on this is literally all day even after eating and drinking they are still stuck reasonably well. The colours across all the ranges are so vibrant and they literally have a type and colour to suit every one and every need. All I can say is go buy one! you wont regret it :)
Tips: Ask to test it store all the MAC staff are so lovely and helpful and its always good to see if you like the colour and texture before you buy as there are so so many to choose from
Some of my favourite lipsticks are MAC ones, even though they're pricey in NZ I do believe they are worth it (or just use a forwarding service to get them from America!) I own 1 matte, viva glam I, and on me it isn't THAT drying. I have super dry lips so I do tend to try keep my lips as smooth and hydrated as I can. It's a beautiful colour and amazing pigmentation and a very nice wear time. Satin finishes are probably my favourite, almost as good wear time as matte's but nowhere near as drying. Lustre is another of my fave, glossy and a bit sheer, but can be built up to a more opaque look. I recently bought a cremesheen (yesterday) and I love it! I got the colour Creme Cup and I think it's beautiful and looks nice on the lips.
Tips: Exfoliate lips and moisturise! Blot, and reapply for longer lasting colour.
We all know MAC has a big name and with it a huge reputation to live up to. Luckily these lipsticks do the trick! My favourites so far are 'Creme Cup' and 'Creme d'Nude'. Both are highly pigmented with great staying power and a nice scent. I think they're worth the price.
Tips: Get your hands on a clear lip liner. That way you can match it to any lipstick!
I was given my first mac lipstick from an amazing BR member, and I am in love with it!
I have the shade Patissere, which is a great everyday nude shade. The colour is highly pigmented, and you only need a couple of swipes of the lipstick to achieve full coverage. The lipstick smells nice, and comes in a classy black tube. The lipstick winds up and down easily, and there is a good amount of product in the tube. It is strong, and does not feel like it is going to snap, or break, unlike some other lipsticks ive had in the past.
As with most lipsticks it does seem to wear off a little bit, while eating & drinking, but that is to be expected, so make sure you always carry your chosen shade for the day in your handbag so that you can reapply it if needed.
Overall I would definitely recommend getting your hands on one of these lippys, especially if your a mac virgin! I always thought mac was to expensive to buy, UNTIL i was given this lipstick, now I am absolutely sold on it, and will definitely be buying more in the future :)
Love MAC products. Which is why I have a few of these lipsticks that I wear regularly and really like. Saint Germaine which is amplified coral chick which is a frost and a satin one which name I can't read its that old.
It's awesome that these lipsticks come in different textures. I love the effect that has to a look. What I was disappointed with is how easy it is to find much cheaper brands with the same result.
This however has not stopped me from ordering Mac heroine ..
Tips: Be aware of the texture your using.
almost all my lippies are from MAC with the exception of one Bobbie Brown i got on a whim. I love how pigmented MAC lipsticks! going to a MAC counter is like going to candy store, so many colors and finishes to choose from! i find that MAC lipsticks are a bit drying to the lips but i am absolutely willing to ignore that. my favorites are rebel and ruby woo. Its always the finishing touch whenever i want to dress up.
I fell in love with MAC lipsticks after I bought my first one two years ago. It was in the shade "snob" and is probably one of my favourite shades to date. I love the extent of the colours that they offer. I guess my only complaint is the texture of them. They are really drying so I find using something else with them is usually best, whether its a primer, lip balm or a gloss over top. I just cant stand it when my lips get all flaky from wearing it.
Tips: Take it with you, when heading out! You will need to re-apply!
I love the texture and intensity of the colour of MAC lipsticks and the array of shades is fantastic. I was introduced to Cosmo when I was part of a bridal party made up of a red head, a blonde, and two brunettes who had to have marching lipstick that was coordinated with a lemon coloured dress! I didn't think we would find anything that would fit the bill, but the makeup artist went straight to it and it has been a staple in my makeup case ever since. It is a versatile shade and is easy to wear and long lasting.
