The Lancome Air de Teint is a beautiful foundation, on the right person. Sadly, I am not the right person. Due to mild acne scarring on a pale face, I like a medium-full coverage foundation that lasts all day on oily skin. This foundation isn't it. With a dropper application, this foundation is lightweight and watery, spreading thinly and evenly over the face. I would be hesitant to apply with anything other than my fingers because, lets face it, $79.99 is far too expensive to be sucked up into a brush or beauty blender. The formula transitions from a watery liquid to an almost powdery finish. As always, Lancome is on point with the technology behind their product. The end result is a sheer, flawless finish on the areas of my face where there is no redness. Flawless, whilst looking like I just have naturally gorgeous skin. Flawlessly breathable, not flawlessly full coverage. Unfortunately, this foundation does nothing for any areas of acne scarring, or the slight redness around my nose. By the time I have touched these areas up with concealer, the flawless, natural finish of the foundation is lost.
I have seen this foundation on women with lovely, clear skin, particularly in the over 30 age category. It is beautiful. They look like glowing angels fresh off a photoshoot. On their skin, the beauty of the foundation is hard to describe. On my skin, the blemishes are all too obvious.
Lastly, like all Lancome foundations, the shade range is VERY limited. If you are in the age/skin category that I described I would certainly recommend trying it in store and requesting a sample rather than buying online.
If anyone has tried Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation then you will know what a beautiful product this is with a stunning glowing skin finish and flawless coverage. However Air de Teint on the other hand was a disappointment! With a huge amount of hype surrounding this new product I had high expectations, now just to stress in the Lancôme training it was explicitly stressed that this is NOT a foundation but rather a fluid, a similar texture to a serum with a light as air feel and sheer coverage. Well it certainly is light as air, almost a silicone feel but it has an extremely matte finish bordering on flat and dull and removal was very difficult I had to use a waterproof makeup remover before double cleansing to ensure it was all removed. I would be very intrigued to hear other feedback on this. Hope it was helpful! I think for the price you would be far better off getting the miracle foundation.
Tips: Use an illuminating primer and make sure you double cleanse to remove. If you have drier skin then I would avoid.
