L'Oreal Paris Brow Artist Plumper Review

I bought this brow plumper in medium/dark from beauty bliss. I'd seen it talked about on here but I also needed to buy something for about $20 to get free shipping so I went with this product! I've only used clear brow gels before so getting something tinted and also with fibres in it is very new to me.

First off, the colour. I was sort of worried it might be really warm and only a mid brown. It's a very cool toned darker brown which is great. I have black dyed hair but even with my naturally warm hair, I hate having warm brows!

Packaging wise, this comes in a nice silver tube that looks very sleek. It's a very similar size to a mascara tube. The cap is dark brown, I'm not sure if the cap changes depending on what colour you buy. I've used this a lot and none of the writing has worn off which is good too, then you don't get it mixed up with any other makeup product. This has a reasonably small wand, it's around 1cm long and is thinner at the top than what it is at the base. Sort of how a tree goes. I do wish it was even smaller. Because this is a tinted product, you have to be more careful and not get product on your skin, a smaller brush would just make things so much easier!

I have tried to use this on its own but I really don't like how it makes my brows look. I have what I would class as medium thick brows but I have a lot of sparse gaps especially near the tail end. This does a great job at clinging to hair, but if you don't have hair in places it just looks really weird. The few times I did use it on it's own took me 2 or 3 times as long as I usually take and just looked messy in not a good messy brow way. How I use it now is I pencil my brows in first and then I use the tip of this to set everything in place in the middle part of my brow. I don't use it on either end as again, I just feel like it doesn't look right.

I find this product sets quite quickly and won't budge but you have to be careful to spread the product out or it kind of bunches up in places. I can definitely see fibres on the wand but I don't really notice any plumping effect to my brows, I do wipe most of the product off before I use it though so it doesn't look too much in my brows. I don't get any crunchiness to my brows, but to be honest that wouldn't bother me at all. I don't touch my brows during the day. This lasts all day and doesn't flake or run.

I don't think this product is made for me. I also don't think it's a bad product. I think if you have naturally thicker brows and you want something to fill them in a little and keep them in shape, this would be perfect for you. I'll keep using this as I am but I wouldn't repurchase it.

Such a great product which you can use alone or along with a powder to help stick your brows in place. I love the look it gives such a bushy look as it makes your eye brow hair stand out.

it gets the job done, and can even be used alone when you are wanting to do a natural look. It helps just to bring a natural look all together without having crazy perfect bold eyebrow.

it is super affordable too.

My elf clear brow gel was looking decidedly manky so I decided to pick up one of these to replace it. Now I'd like to preface this review by saying that I already have quite full brows so I really only need a brow product to even them up (my brows are definitely sisters not twins) and keep em from floating in the breeze. I used this in combination with the wax portion of my elf brow kit and this looked awesome. Often brow products for brunettes come across way too warm toned and leave you looking like you have ginger brows- not so with this one. I can also get away with using this on its own on minimal makeup days and it looks really natural but just enhances the shape of my brows. This also doesn't leave my brows feeling crunchy and gross which is great. I also love the teeny tiny applicator which makes the process quick and easy. I can't comment on its efficacy on sparse brows, but for gals who just need a little help and control over their brows this is a winner.

I missed out on getting this product through a trial, but was lucky enough to nab it in the vault instead.The brow plumper i have comes in transparent colour, although other options are blonde, and brown.

From the outside, this product could easily be interpreted as a mascara. It comes in a thick, plastic cylinder tube, with a twist of lid, which reveal a wand applicator. The outside packaging of this is really simple and understated, which doesn't really leave much to talk about.

The spoolie type end on this wand is unqiue, and i havent seen anything like it. The best way i can describe it, is a tiny upside Christmas tree, because of its shape, and it even has tiny little bristles which remind me of the pine needles on a christmas tree. That is honestly the best way i can describe this.

The formula of this product feels really basic aswell. In the version i have, the product simply looks like a clear gel, and the consistency is really similar to the ELF clear brow gel. I don't find that it has a noticeable smell or anything either.

The brush picks up enough product to easily swipe over brows, and honestly, i still wipe product off before i run this through my brows because when you over do the gel, it does dry weirdly, and flakes. So less really is more with this one.

I like this product because it does smooth, shape and tame brows, and is so quick and easy. However, in the transparent version, this product does not plump brows at all. I will be picking up a coloured version of this and seeing if that makes any difference.

I recently purchased this on sale after wanting it for so long. I got it in the shade Medium to Dark as I have pretty dark eyebrows and it's a great match for me. I have been wearing it ever since and I love it.

I don't have much time to get ready in the morning and this just makes my makeup routine for work so much easier. It only takes a few seconds in each brow to get it right and I'm done. I love how convenient it is for me.

The brush is really small which I like. It's the most similar brush to the Benefit Gimme Brow compared to other brow gels. The tiny brush makes filling my eyebrows a lot easier and it doesn't distribute too much product either.

I end up with natural filled in brows great for every day. I love this and I now get the hype.

I adooooore this! This seriously saved my 'brow life'. I have always had trouble finding products to fill out my brows and make them look fuller, without looking unnatural.

This does the job

My brows look fuller, amazing and natural. I have the shade Medium/Dark and even though I'm blonde, it looks amazing and does not make my eyebrows look red toned, like many other brow products do.

I definitely recommend this to everyone.

I have quite sparse eyebrows so I was very intrigued when I came across this brow plumper. I decided to give it a go not really expecting much but I really like it!! You could use this by itself for a tidy more full brow look but since mine are very sparse I like to fill them in with a little bit of pencil first. I then apply the brow plumper and it really helps to give them a tidy, natural and full look. It really helps to define the shape of my brows and make them look a lot better than pencil alone, it also gives them a bit of colour which helps them to look more full.

I tested the brown colour and found it fantastic, it made my brows look full while still looking natural. The brows held in place well and I would therefore recommend this product for those with long brows which get out of place easily. I then went on to try the clear colour of this and It was terrible! when it was initially put on it was fine, but after a while it looked like I had cobwebs in my brows as when the brow hairs were pushed out of place the product was no longer clear around that area (it was like when you bend plastic and it gets 'stress whitening'). It then proceeded to go dandruff like... Therefore as a whole I would recommend buying the brown or blonde ones and not the clear one :)

I unfortunately didnt receive this one in the post, but I purchased the clear one instead. It did a very good job of setting my brows in place without looking like they were over drawn or anything- it was a very natural look. I normally use anastasia beverley hills dipbrow pomade, and that sticks to my brows all day, and the loreal plumper is very comparable to the longevity as well as keeping them looking natural.
