L'Oréal Paris Revitalift Filler Deep Replumping SP

I am very happy with this product so far, have been using it for almost 2weeks. Comes packaged in a nice box with clear instructions how to use it and explains what it should do. I have been using it at night after I clean my face. I love the texture of this cream it is quite thick and easy to apply leaving my skin feel fresh. Have really felt my skin feels more hydrated, as it says locks in moisture for 48 hours. Looking forward to the 4week mark for results of reduced crows feet and forehead wrinkles.

Tips: Add this to your beauty routine:)

Thick as

The L'Oréal Paris Revitalift Filler Deep Replumping SPF50 Day Moisturiser is designed for more mature skin (>30years, oof that hurt). It is so great to have a moisturiser with SPF50 to not only provide protection against the sun's rays, but also helps to fight photoaging.

The moisturiser is a thick cream. Really thick - like sunscreen thick. So at first I was not keen thinking it would be greasy and sit on my face all day. But surprisingly it absorbed really well. I normally like thinner moisturisers but I might have to suck it up and realise my "mature skin" reads a bit more. It also kind of acted like a primer under my makeup - so that's a bonus.

It comes in a small glass jar, which I do like as you can really get every last bit out without having to hack into it with scissors. It has a light scent - so might not be for those who like fragrance free products.

As for the reducing signs of aging, I am not so sure. I wonder if the claims are in comparison to using nothing. But since I always moisturise day and night - I don't know if this product is doing any extra over what other products do.

Filling the gaps

Thanks beauty review for sending me this to review, I am really liking it so far, it’s a great size jar and has a nice consistency it’s thicker than a normal day to day cream but I’d expect that from a cream with spf 50 in it. I can’t wait to use it as weather warms up knowing that my skin is definately being looked after. L’Oréal has such good standards I’m really happy to keep using it daily. Some of my finer lines have gone and I’m excited to see how much more goes in the next few weeks as it’s says 4 weeks is a good indication of how it’s going. A firm favourite for me.

Great every day moisturiser

I was a lucky participant in the trial team for this product. It arrived a bit late so I am writing this on Day 11 of using it.

I am mid-50's, with combination skin. I am prone to really dry cheeks and the nose to chin lines, plus, my skin is quite sensitive and reactive.

This product comes in a standard jar packaging with no dispenser or scoop (so fingers in the jar), and upon opening it the fragrance was quite pleasant and a nice surprise as I tend to avoid fragrance due to my skin sensitivity. The smell dissipated shortly after application. The consistency is quite creamy and it spreads easily.

It did tingle a little when first applied, which I think might be the astringent effect of Denatured Alcohol as it is the fifth ingredient listed. The product has a very impressive list of the latest chemical sunscreen ingredients with a good spread of UVA and UVB protection.

As a moisturiser, and applying a normal (maybe 1/8 teaspoon) amount it went on with a white cast but it did set back quite well and reasonably quickly (15 mins). It felt moisturising without being too heavy or greasy for me, so I liked it well enough for a day time moisturiser.

However, in case you need a reminder, all SPF ratings are set using the 2mg per square centimetre of your face - that means half a teaspoon of this is required to reach SPF50! Plus, you need to reapply every two hours to keep it up. I dug out my kitchen measuring spoons and went ahead with the half teaspoon. Unfortunately using the full amount led to major white cast and I was left with white spots settling into my pores all day - not visible from a distance but good eyesight close up would probably notice it. Plus, that amount of product just didn't work well with my makeup leaving me with a lot of pilling.

So, as a moisturiser this gets a solid pass, and I think if you were going with the layering technique of using SPF rated moisturiser, primer, foundation and powder then this would be a great base. However, if you just want to throw one product on to get an SPF50 then I think there are better options.

I've had no irritation or skin flaking which is a win for me. Oh, and on the filler part? I'm, still waiting for that bit to happen ;-)

Tips: Be prepared to do a bit of trial and error with the dosage rate if you want it to play nicely with other products such as sunscreens, primers and foundations.

Loreal revalift filler deep replumping

Well I still have my lines. When I started this trial I unfortunately knew it wouldn't be a magic recipe however I have been using this for nearly two weeks and I have to say my skin feels softer and in some ways my lines appear softer also. When applied to your palm and rub both together it goes on nicely without leaving it feeling greasy. A nice fragrance not to over powering. Will definitely keep using it.

Too early to tell

I have only been using this product for under 2 weeks so haven't seen the dramatic results as yet but I am looking forward to seeing how my skin looks in another few weeks. I love the thick and rich formula, my skin feels well hydrated after using it. It feels more indulgent than other L'Oreal day creams I have used.

Tips: Less is more, this is a thick formula that spreads well so you don't need to dig too deep!

Not for me

I had high hopes for L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Filler Deep Replumpint SPF50 Day Moisturiser- I have previously tried other products in the range and really enjoyed them. But this day cream just did not work for me. The product comes on L’Oréals signature square pot and has a screw top lid. It is lightly scented with a floral perfume which I am not bothered about but may be something to consider if you are sensitive to smells. The formula is cream coloured and very thick - I was quite surprised at how thick! I am so pleased that the cream contains SPF 50 as I am always trying to find products that are multi use. It also contains concentrated hyuloronic acid which is deep penetrating and plumps skin cells to help the skin look fuller and smooth out fine lines.

BUT…. As I mentioned, this cream is thick. And for me, it just did not absorb into my skin. I felt like it lay on top, like a layer of icing on a cake and felt sticky and heavy. I also found it did not spread easily so you needed to use a decent amount of actually cover your skin. I faithfully tried this product for a week and absolutely hated it. I felt like my skin could not breathe and also noticed I had a few irregular pimples which I would attribute to it as well. I have not noticed any major difference in my skins texture and would not purchase this cream again.

I agree with you. This is far too thick and doesnt spread on face very well. Im going to use the rest on my neck only to use it up. My makeup looked terrible on top, all streaky.

Day Cream SPF 50

This comes in a glass jar and is a thick white cream with a light scent. A rich hydrating cream with a high SPF. This is quite a heavy rich moisturizer and is especially suitable for dry skin and is good for the winter months. I would also prefer to use this instead of regular sunscreen on my face.

It meets it's claims for lasting moisture, my skin feels plumper but I wouldn't say it's any different in terms of wrinkles appearing filled.

My make-up sits nicely on top and this formula is an improvement on the other filler day cream as that it doesn't pill at all.

Tips: Use in conjunction with the night cream for maximum benefit.

Revitalift Filler - I'm Convinced!

I have always been a fan of any L'Oreal product and they are generally top quality. The biggest test for the Revitalift Filler was whether it could work a bit of a miracle. The advertising suggested it could, but then many of us are a bit sceptical about advertising. The container is the familiar Revitalift shape and one of the best things about this style is that you don't leave half of the product in the jar as you get towards the end. This really frustrates me about a lot of the (often more expensive) products on the market. You can get every last drop out - and you should - more about this later. When I opened the jar I must admit I was a bit nervous. The cream seemed very thick and rich. This is a good thing in a night cream, but would it be too heavy for a day cream? My concerns were completely unfounded. The cream, while thick, does not feel like this on your skin and it is quickly absorbed, leaving your skin feeling really soft. The perfume isn't overwhelming either, which is fantastic. It has a really light scent. So, why should you want to get every last drop out? Because it does actually work and it definitely does what the advertising promotes. Within a short time, I have seen a change in my skin in all areas. The lines are much less obvious. The texture of my skin is smoother and there is an obvious reduction in the redness that drives me nuts! It also has the awesome bonus of a very high SPF of 50. Under makeup it's great. I use a mineral powder and I was concerned that the cream could be too thick for this, but it's really not. If anything, it really improved the look of my makeup. I've had many comments about how healthy my skin is looking. If you're hovering on the fence over this product, don't. It really is magic in a jar without the horrendous price tag.

Tips: If you have any tricky problem areas, it's a great idea to dab a little bit extra on these areas and let the cream work its magic. I've noticed a real difference in the area around my mouth from doing this and the little lines are definitely less visible.

High SPF plumping!

This day cream comes in a heavy glass jar with a plastic lid. It makes me a little nervous it’s going to leap out of my hands and smash in the sink! Whilst it’s quite a thick cream in the jar, it quickly spreads onto the skin and absorbs easily. It’s has the usual L’Oréal scent which is my biggest criticism. I find the smell a little overpowering but it mostly disappears once the cream absorbs. This doesn’t irritate my skin at all but I don’t think it needs to be so heavily scented.

This leaves my skin feeling very soft and smooth and yes, plumped! What I love about this cream is the high SPF of 50. I felt confident just using this on its own on makeup free days instead of my usual sunscreen. It also sat nicely under my tinted moisturiser which still stayed put despite being over a heavier cream.

According to the packaging, this product is aimed at years 35+. I agree with this as I feel it would be a bit heavy for younger skins, or those on the oiler side. I’ll continue to use this on make up free days. I personally wouldn’t repurchase it due to the heavy scent. I also feel L’Oréal could cut down on their packaging. It comes in a metallic cupboard box and the jar and lid is also metallic coloured. Although the packaging says it is recyclable, I’m not sure if these particular materials are that easily recycled in the usual curb side recycling.
