L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Fibralogy Double Serum Review

I found the idea of this product very promising. I loved the idea of having a product that not only made my flat hair have volume but also removed the frizziness it was prone to. However my dreams were short lived as the product was only capable in my eyes of doing one of the jobs promised. it did smooth my hair out and make it feel amazingly smooth and soft however there was little change from this product in terms of my hairs thickness. On the plus side the serum does smell amazing just like the shampoo and conditioner and the packaging was not only cute but the box the product came in was designed so that it wouldn't fall over which in my opinion is very important. I only applied this on dry hair so that may have influenced the outcome even though it does state you can use it on either. I used around 5 pumps each time and it says to use several and i found that it went through.

Firstly, the bottle for this is really tiny, although relatively cheap its very small. I didn't like the packaging compared to the rest of the range its not up to scratch, it's got really bland colours and looks cheap.

The first time I used it I had trouble using the pump and actually getting the product out which was annoying, I still dont like the way it pumps.

The product is very runny which makes it easy to spread onto your hands and onto wet hair.

I found little/no result from using this proudct. No noticeable thickness and I found my got greasy very fast, I wouldn't recommend this and I won't be buying it again.

Gorgeous fragrance, easy to use , smoother hair but thicker I cant say I noticed any difference. The first few days I applies the product to towel dried hair it definitely smoothed my hair without being heavy and weighing it down which was a plus. I then started applying after hair was dried which again was easy to use soaks into the hair nicely without being greasy, but I have not noticed my hair feeling any thicker at all so I wouldn't buy this product if thickening was my main focus or priority.

I was so excited to use this serum but I so far feel disappointed in it. It didn't leave a greasy film over hair like a lot of products have but it also didn't give me any volume, i changed the amounts i used but no change to my hair. It did make my hair feel really awesome and soft though.

Before I start I must mention that my hair is suuuuper fine and always falls flat on my face. This product claims to make my hair thicker after each wash. It is a light pink serum and clear serum separated in the bottle. Once you pump the product it comes out mixed. It has a watery feel, not very oily and does not leave a residue on my hands. I used this every time I washed my hair, basically smoothing it onto damp, towel dried hair. I would only use about half a pump (I have mid length hair). I would not say it made my hair thicker as such but my hair felt very rough and was a lot more prone to tangling. I had a hard time brushing my hair without it snagging. I was super excited to try this product because I have tried almost everything to get thicker looking hair (even the illusion of thicker hair would be amazing!) but I was truly disappointed.

Well I was hoping for miracles here that's for sure! I used this product in conjunction with the matching shampoo and conditioner, hoping for the full effect! Disappointment! None of the 3 products left my hair feeling or looking the slightest bit thicker. If anything my hair felt softer, but also weighted down and flat. I like the packaging, a very easy to use pump bottle. And it looks the business with the 2 different colored lotions that merge into one. But the only benefit i got from this product was it tamed my frizzies. The fragrance is very pleasant and it is a light liquid that soaks quickly into you hair. But thicker hair? Not for me unfortunately. Back to the drawing board.

I would like to think I am a generous reviewer, so felt bad giving this product only one star on each section. It is not that I hated this serum at all, I just felt...well meh about it. It is not like I don't like the product at all and will not use up the bottle. I will certainly continue to use it, I just didn't see the benefits of what it was promising. This serum is meant to visibly thicken your hair (which I do find hard to believe anyway!) and I do not see much of a difference at all as my hair is still its same thin self. But I did like the consistency, smell and feel of the product. One little nit picky thing I did not like however, was that the serum was quite oily...as all serums tend to be...but as I have long hair I would need up to three pumps. So my hands would get oily then I would try to pump out another lot, only to find because of the design of the longer pump with two serums being pumped out that it was difficult for me to do properly. But that is just a really small issue and to be honest does not affect whether or not I would repurchase. I do feel that I would not buy again though as it does nothing extraordinary for my hair. I would rather use a serum designed for repairing damaged hair like a Moroccan Oil or Aragan Oil. But still, it was a fine product to use, just didn't see the results I had hoped for.

I have been searching for a hair treatment that will help my thin hair look and feel more voluminous and as soon as I saw this I immediately bought this product as well as the shampoo and conditioner. After using this a few times I noticed my hair felt a little thicker and it was not falling so much and so I became really optimistic that it would actually work. However after the 5th time of using it I saw absolutely no change at all, my hair went back to feeling thin and flat. I dont know if you're meant to use this over a long period of time to get results but I just didnt feel like it was doing anything for me.
