L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Fibralogy Double Serum Review

I trialled this along with the matching shampoo and conditioner.

First of all I just want to say I do love the colour of this packaging, it stands out visually to me.

Some serums I know can leave your hair feeling heavy and greasy. This ones doesn't. It left my hair feeling quite soft. I also like that you can use this on either wet or dry hair. I am not sure if my fine hair is thicker from using this product though.

Overall though I wasn't "wow'ed" by it. I would probably buy it again if it was on special, as I do love how soft my hair now is, but wouldn't go out of my way to purchase it full price.

I was very excited to receive and review this product. The first impressions were positive, it came in a lovely double barrel container with eye catching pink and teal colours. I have high hopes for this product as my hair is thin and flat, more so now that I have been shedding hair post pregnancy. I am always willing to try something that promises thicker hair.

As it is a serum, I expected it to be somewhat sticky or maybe oily but the consistency is almost a watery gel, it left no residue on my palms when I applied it and did not appear to make my hair greasy so it is very lightweight.

As for the effects, I have been using it daily for around a week and a half and have no noticed anything different with my hair! However I am not sure how long it takes for these serums to "work" so I will persist and update my review if I notice anything. Overall, it is probably not something I would have bought myself but am grateful to been given the opportunity to try it.

My first impression of this serum was the packaging. It is very good quality. It is a smooth ergonomically designed shape making it easy to hold and pump. The colours jade green and fuscia pink are very eye catching. I used this serum alongside the fibralogy shampoo and conditioner. I found it had a very subtle, almost non existant fragrance. Which suited me. I pumped twice each time to use on my medium length hair. I used it on towel dried hair. You can also use it on dry hair, which I tried just rubbing a little through the ends once. This helped stop flyaways. I am not sure how the serum would perform on its own and not in conjunction with the shampoo and conditioner. I feel that my hair has gained volume and I will continue to use it. I am usually afraid to use serums as they weigh down my fine hair, but this serum has proven to be very light. I would recommend trying it out if you have fine hair and you want a light weight serum to help thicken and not weigh hair down.

This product worked really well for my hair. It gave me that extra volume that i was missing. I was worried it would feel heavy and look greasy on my hair but it didn't i was so happy as it was still smooth and soft. As i don't like it when my hair looks greasy heavy. It smells nice and it not to powerful that you can smell it all day as . The product is clear and a little bit runny Constantine. The bottle is nice and small and thin so it is easy to carry in bags and toiletry bags. Overall i would recommend this product to anyone that has thin hair and needs that extra help to get some volume back.

I would like to think I am a generous reviewer, so felt bad giving this product only one star on each section. It is not that I hated this serum at all, I just felt...well meh about it. It is not like I don't like the product at all and will not use up the bottle. I will certainly continue to use it, I just didn't see the benefits of what it was promising. This serum is meant to visibly thicken your hair (which I do find hard to believe anyway!) and I do not see much of a difference at all as my hair is still its same thin self. But I did like the consistency, smell and feel of the product. One little nit picky thing I did not like however, was that the serum was quite oily...as all serums tend to be...but as I have long hair I would need up to three pumps. So my hands would get oily then I would try to pump out another lot, only to find because of the design of the longer pump with two serums being pumped out that it was difficult for me to do properly. But that is just a really small issue and to be honest does not affect whether or not I would repurchase. I do feel that I would not buy again though as it does nothing extraordinary for my hair. I would rather use a serum designed for repairing damaged hair like a Moroccan Oil or Aragan Oil. But still, it was a fine product to use, just didn't see the results I had hoped for.

I was so excited to use this serum but I so far feel disappointed in it. It didn't leave a greasy film over hair like a lot of products have but it also didn't give me any volume, i changed the amounts i used but no change to my hair. It did make my hair feel really awesome and soft though.

Before I start I must mention that my hair is suuuuper fine and always falls flat on my face. This product claims to make my hair thicker after each wash. It is a light pink serum and clear serum separated in the bottle. Once you pump the product it comes out mixed. It has a watery feel, not very oily and does not leave a residue on my hands. I used this every time I washed my hair, basically smoothing it onto damp, towel dried hair. I would only use about half a pump (I have mid length hair). I would not say it made my hair thicker as such but my hair felt very rough and was a lot more prone to tangling. I had a hard time brushing my hair without it snagging. I was super excited to try this product because I have tried almost everything to get thicker looking hair (even the illusion of thicker hair would be amazing!) but I was truly disappointed.

I have very fine hair that lacks volume and struggles to hold a style. So I was very excited to try this product. I used 2 pumps (on short hair) on towel dried hair. After 5-10mins I styled as usual with a texturising paste and blow dried my hair.

The serum added some volume to my hair with the benefit of not making it greasy or sticky. However I am not sure convinced that the serum is cumulatively thickening my hair. The product made my hair very soft and smooth - which I personally prefer it didn't as much as it did, as it made it hard to maintain my hair style throughout the whole day.

The packaging was attractive, but I worry that it may be hard to know when it is about to run out. The smell was also very pleasant (like a clean smell rather than a perfume smell). This is very affordable product and I will continue using it for the benefit of the small increase in volume it achieves.

My hair type is: fine, thin, easy fragile , dull and dry. After using " L'Oreal Paris Elvive Fibralogy Double Serum, I can feel something changed in my hair. # My hair becomes shiny and soft. # Obviously I can feel my hair become stronger than before. And easy to comb. # My hair smell fresh and pleasant . I have been using it for more than 2 weeks and I want to use a longer time to see an even better result on my hair. This product has a nice look and it is not oily. It is very easy to be absorbed by the hair. ------- One thing I am not quite sure: can I use " conditioner " before using " this double serum "? I use this "double serum" before blow-drying my wet hair. Will this influence the result of this "double serum "

Firstly I love the packaging of this product, hot pink and blue, my favourite colours! The pump is easy to use and it smells really nice, but not overpowering. I used it together with the matching shampoo and conditioner. As far as doing what it it supposed to do, I'm really on the fence. I like the smoothing serum part, it definately makes it easier to comb through your hair after washing, and remove the tangles. But I'm not so sure that the thickening part works amazingly. I've been using it for three weeks now, and I think that my hair felt the same just by using the fibralogy shampoo and conditioner. If this product adds volume then it's not a huge difference. Having said that I would probably still purchase it as it is a great smoothing and detangling serum and for that alone it was worth using.
