I've been using this for about 2 weeks now. This shampoo seems to be very economical as it lathers very easily so you don’t need a lot of it. It also smells very nice and I’ve used it in conjunction with the matching conditioner. I didn’t notice any change to my hair at first but after using it for about 2 weeks I can now see the difference it’s making. It’s definitely shiner, softer, and it’s not as fly-away as it used to be. Not sure that it’s any stronger than it used to be. Time will tell; I’ll definitely continue using.

Reviews
I was quite excited to receive this product as my hair is quite damaged from years of dying and straightening so I've been using it solidly for 2 weeks and it's almost finished.
I found it really nice and thick to apply and the smell is fantastic but even after washing the shampoo out thoroughly it still leaves quite a thick residue in the hair afterwards that makes it appear quite greasy and was hard to straighten. I thought maybe it was just me but it's happened 3 times now since using it.
My hair is definitely looking shinier since using it but to be honest I can't tell if that's because of the residue left over or because it's actually making my hair shinier.
I didn't notice any difference with fuller or stronger hair though but maybe that comes in time.
Tips: Make sure you spend a good amount of time washing all shampoo and conditioner out as it really leaves a thick residue in the hair.
The packaging for this product is nice, simple and clear. The Information is easy to read. I have Thick hair but don't dye it. I found I didn't have to use much as it's quite a heavy shampoo and foams a lot when you massage it into your hair.It did leave my hair quite knotted and straw like after rinsing out. I didn't feel like it lived up to its promises. The one thing I did like was the scent, it was nice and fresh and lasted really well. I wouldn't repurchase this product.
Tips: May work for thinner hair.
My hair was quite brittle and dry prior to using the Total Repair 5 Shampoo, and I noticed a change straight away, my hair used to get quite tangled and hard to manage and now my fingers run through it. The shampoo smells delicious and I love the consistency. A small amount goes a long way and I have also noticed less and less breakage when combing my hair post washing. I love it!
Tips: You don't need heaps! A little goes a long way!
I started using this shampoo approximately 2 weeks ago, and I am relatively happy with it. I wasn't expecting anything amazing considering the fact it is so cheap and a supermarket shampoo, however have been surprised. I have dry hair and have noticed that my hair is softer than it used to be using other brands, although still a bit of a pain come day 3. All in all i would use this product until I find something better. It is definitely doing the job for now though!
Tips: If drying your hair after, use a brush or comb to pull the hair through, you will find your hair is softer if you dry it this way :-)
I quite liked this shampoo. I've been using it daily along with the conditioner. It has a really nice fragrance without being too over powering. It lathers up nicely and it left my hair feeling soft and silky. It added a bit of shine which made it look healthier however it didn't make it look fuller. The packaging is nice and very informative. Overall it did make my hair look healthier so I'm happy about that :)
Tips: Be careful when squeezing the shampoo out as it comes out quickly and you don't really need a lot of it
*My hair type* Very long, on the dry side, dyed, a bit frizzy, fine but quite a bit of it. I also tend to get hair breakage and flyaways.
*My shampoo background* I generally just buy whatever is cheapest or on special when I am at the supermarket. Usually garnier, dove etc. I have looked at this loreal range for years, even way back when it used to sell at farmers for about $20 a bottle, but I've never purchased it before as,yeah, I just go for the cheap ones!
I also usually only wash and condition my hair once a week during winter. A few reasons for that, to keep the colour lasting longer if it is freshly dyed, and cause it does take me a bit longer in the shower when I have to wash it so not only am I cheap, I'm kind of lazy too. ;) For the sake of this trial, and because I wanted to get a really good impression of this product, I washed my hair every second day. *My first impressions of this shampoo* I like the bottles, they sit nicely in my shower and the packaging looks sleek (I do really like the black bottles in this brand more though!). When I first used it, I was surprised that it didn't really have a strong scent. I usually really like to be able to smell the shampoo throughout the day on my hair. Anyway I won't hold that against this product, there is always products to use to make it smell nice.It lathers really nicely and I only need to use the same amount that I would for any other shampoo. After I rinsed it out though, my hair felt awful! It was matted and felt super dry. It took me so long to comb my conditioner through afterwards. This only happened the first time though for some reason, every other time has not left it feeling yuck like it did then.
*My hair now* After using this set, my hair really does feel stronger. The second time I'd used it, my hair was so soft and smooth that I couldn't stop running my fingers through it. I haven't dyed my hair in a while but I feel like because it has smoothed down my hair, that the colour looks brighter and shinier again.
*Final verdict* I will definitely be buying this after I've used up my bottle. It really isn't that bad of a price and I think that my hair can only get better from continued usage. I think I'll probably go back to washing every 3 or 4 days though, every second is a bit of a mission for me!
I like the packaging on this product , it’s interesting and nice to look at. I found this shampoo was a lot less harsh than most shampoos I’ve used in the past, but at the same time I didn’t get the ‘repair’ results I was expecting . I have dry hair from highlights and usually after shampooing , my hair feels like dry hay, this product didn’t feel like that after washing my hair with it, but it didn’t feel any better than normal when dry either. This product is heavily scented which I didn’t like. I have a sensitive scalp and this product cause irritation within a few uses . It does however lather up really well, so you don’t need to use a lot of product to get good coverage, even on thick curly hair like mine. I was disappointed with the results and wont be using this product again.
Tips: Avoid this product if you have a sensitive scalp
The packaging for this product is nice, simple and clear. All information is easy to read and the ingredients and what the product is supposed to do is clearly stated on the bottle. I found I didn't have to use much as it is quite a heavy shampoo and foams a lot when you massage into your hair and I have quite long hair. It did however, leave my hair quite knotted and straw like after rinsing out. I didn't feel like it lived up to its promises. The one thing I did like was the scent, it was nice and fresh and lasted really well - probably 12hrs I could still smell it quite strongly in my hair which was really nice. All in all, I wouldn't use this product again.
Tips: I have quite dense, thick hair and it is long so it may work better on shorter, finer hair :) Try it for yourself.
When I first received this product to trial I immediately opened up and smelled it. It smells amazing! There is a hint of watermelon in the smell. The packaging is also nice, quite classy I would say and I like that the container is quite skinny, I can fit it easily onto my very full shelf in the shower.
The shampoo lathered up nicely and easily! And felt very smooth to rub through my hair.
However, I don't feel like it repaired my hair, like it said. My hair went a bit frizzy after use, and felt quite dry.
The smell stayed in once my hair dried which was nice.
