L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Smooth Intense Shampoo Review

My hair is thick thick thick, and boofy/frizzy. Sadly, this product didn't leave my fro feeling nourished and it didn't calm my frizzys either. I have since bought a different L'oreal Paris Elvive shampoo/conditioner and that one did improve the condition of my hair mildly so I think this one just wasn't right for my hair type, despite me thinking it would be perfect. I think I was hoping for a miracle product lol. I love the packaging - looks classy. And the scent is nice too :)

Great product. I washed and let my hair dry naturally it was less frizzy than it usually is. It also left my hair smelling delish! Will definitely be buying this product again.

I loved this product, it did exactly what it said it would on the bottle, it nourished my hair and calmed the frizz giving it lasting smoothness. I used the shampoo in conjunction with the conditioner and could not have been happier with the result. The shampoo itself is clear and of a light consistency, runny enough that you need to keep the bottle stored with the lid at the top or it could get messy. It is easy to apply, smells delightful and you only need a small amount to produce a good lather and for your hair to feel nice and clean, making it a very economic choice compared to some other supermarket brands. I have lots of fine flyaway shoulder length curly hair, when I just used the shampoo and conditioner with no other additional product and left my hair to air dry it felt soft and shiny and I was impressed at the control over the curls which have a tendency to go a little frizzy at the ends, with this product this was minimal. Brushing my hair while wet and leaving it to air dry had even better results with the smoothest result I have ever achieved without the use of additional styling creams. When straightening my hair I did use an additional argan oil product to aid with styling but once again the results were fantastic with fewer fly aways and a great smooth result that lasted until the next wash. The packaging is spot on, not too bulky, clearly labelled and in an appealing colour. After using this product for the duration of the trial I am hooked, my hair feels, looks and smells amazing, I would happily recommend this product to a friend and particularly anyone with a similar hair type to mine. Great job L’oreal, this product is a definite winner in my book.

On my first wash, as i rinsed out the shampoo i could already feel a difference my hair felt smooth! It also cleans my hair way better than what i was previously using! It definitely does what it says its guna do. Mixed with the smooth intense conditioner it works amazing and does leave my hair frizz free and smooth it even stayed straight and shiny/smooth on a night out in the cold. Im not sure if theres a bigger bottle but i would definitely use this if there is a bigger size.

Been using for a few weeks and happy with product. Does stop frizz although I have always used it with conditioner. I usually wash my hair every second or third ado and still no frizz.

I tried out this product with a different conditioner and then with the matching one to see if they worked better together and I did notice a lot more of a difference, I have really frizzy hair and it did tone it down more then a standard shampoo and my hair wasn't as knotty as it usually is. it also smells amazing, all in all for the price and being a super market product is a good easy go to.

I don't normally but shampoos for dry frizzy hair, i normally go for volumizing products. I did like it though and it does smell great. My hair feels and looks so soft and shiny, the only problem is my hair has no volume and to me my hair MUST have volume. My hair is not dull and lifeless after using the shampoo, just flat. I will, when i have finished using this shampoo, go for the Loreal Fibrology shampoo, but i will stick to smooth intense conditioner. I do love the fact that these are affordble.

Really good shampoo does what it says it does. I have really oily hair and didn't do much for me as I felt like I had to wash my hair a lot. Apart from that it leaves you hair really nice after you've showered.

The first change I noticed upon switching to this shampoo was that my hair had more body & wasn't as flat as usual. The second thing I noticed was that my hair got frizzier which was not the result I was after! In fairness by the second week my hair settled down a lot. It was still slightly frizzy after straightening and blowdrying but more than balanced out with the extra body I also had in my hair. I switched back to my normal shampoo two nights ago and didn't like the resulting limpness of my hair so I will continue to use Elvive Smooth for more body and experiment with some other smoothing products if I plan to blowdry and straighten my hair.

I do not know what to write about this product, I have used it for over 2 weeks now and my hair feels like straw as soon as I apply it to my hair it feels so hard, and when I naturally let it dry it frizzes up so easily, maybe I am not using it right who knows It may work wonders on certain types of hair but one thing for sure it really didn't help my extreme damaged frizzy hair in anyway :(
