L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Smooth Intense Shampoo Review

I expected this shampoo to make my hair as smooth as a baby's bottom but I was disappointed. I have tried a huge variety of smoothing shampoos and conditioners because of my dry and frizzy hair, so I thought I had finally found something that would work. This shampoo did make my hair clean, but I wouldn't say it made my hair smoother. The shampoo didn't weigh down my hair which was a good thing that is usually hard to find in other shampoos. One thing I did notice is that my hair got oily and dirty faster than usual which is annoying because it meant I had to wash my hair more often. I personally like strong scented shampoos so I was a little disappointed with the smell which I personally found quite muted. Overall though it's not a bad shampoo and I would use it again, It is lightweight and cleans my hair but it doesn't carry out it's promise of "4 times smoother** for up to 48 hours* protection."

I really enjoyed this shampoo. It actually does what it says on the bottle. My hair is naturally straight but over the years it has kinked and become corse and brittle with age and the enviroment, not to mention the styling products. So using this shampoo has been awesome. The shampoo cleanses well and I noticed it didnt strip my hair color, and when I towel dried my hair, without blow drying my hair was wonderful and soft. Great as I tried the shampoo first without the conditioner. So even without the conditioner my hair was frizz free and so shiney. Excellent

I was one of the lucky ones that got the chance to trial this shampoo & conditioner (thanks BR team) and have fallen in love. I actually gave this shampoo a go without using conditioner (which is a biggie with me) and even without the use of conditioner my hair was soft, smooth and manageable. I have bleach blonde extensions and they are coming to the end of their life, but the shampoo still left them smooth and soft after drying. The shampoo is a nice consistency and smells delish! Will definitely be buying more of this

I've been slightly disappointed with this product and found it to be nothing special. My hair wasnt as smooth as it has been when i've used other products. The smell was a major off-put for me as it smelt chemically and i kept getting smells of it throughout the day, personally i like to have a yum smelling shampoo and conditioner. Overall this was nothing special and didn't make a noticeable difference in the smoothness of my hair...

Ok, So i have had the shampoo for a get week and a half now. (i was also lucky enough to try the conditioner and serum). The bottle sit nicely in my shower rack ad the are slim. They smell ok, only because i'm not a fan of the argan oil smell. I really liked that it was a nice thick consistency but i found i had bubbles everywhere. However i did feel nice and clean.

I have used this product since I received it and I found it to be very Moisturising and smooth when putting it on. You don't need a lot either and it lathers up extremely well. It washes off well and doesn't seem to cling to your hair like some do. Although I haven't noticed when my hair is dry much difference in the frizzy factor, I believe it is a good product and will continue to use. Thanks BR for my trial.

My hair is long an thick so there is a lot of it to tame. I found the shampoo to be slightly smoothing but results didn't last long. However if I straightened my hair it would work wonders, smooth an shiney, and controlled! As it doesn't have a huge price tag on it id say it would be best suited to someone with straighter shorter hair.

I could not be happier with this shampoo! Me and my mum have both been using this for the past two weeks and we have both seen a huge improvement. My hair is a lot less frizzy when i leave it natural and when I blow dry it! I feel like my ends are a little bit thicker too because I'm not trying to tame them with the straightener! Usually my hair doesn't stay straight when I straighten it to go out, but after using this shampoo it stayed straight for the whole night! I could not be happier

I have used other Elvive shampoo products so i was excited to try this one. The shampoo lathers well and has a nice fresh scent to it. It also cleansed my hair well and left a clean finish with no buildup of product. Since i have dry damaged hair I found myself using less leave in oil after washing with this product because of the argan oil in the shampoo. The packaging is easy to use and the product is easily dispensable. Overall I enjoyed this product as it does de-frizz my hair and leaves a shiny finish to it.

Unfortunately for me my hair type is one of those hard to manage ones. I have bleach blonde hair so its rather dry and damaged and its naturally curly (not that I ever let it go curly!) so no matter how hard I try when I dry my hair it always is frizzy. Firstly I must point that I am usually a "snob" when it comes to shampoo and conditioner and only usually buy from salons. However after still not getting the results I want (even after straightening my hair would become "fuzzy" on the ends throughout the day) and after being offered the chance to trial it (thanks again BR!) I tried out this product.

AND I must say I am officially converted! The shampoo comes in a golden clear bottle so its easy to see how much you use and is different from the conditioner so can easily find it when in a rush in the shower. It smells great and lathers easily. I used this in conjunction with the loreal elvive smooth conditioner and the results I have from both products is amazing! My hair is so silky and smooth and smells great. What I love the most about this product is that when I straighten my hair and go out for the day, my hair still stays straight and silky and no frizz or fuzziness! I definitely will continue to use this product.

And at a third of the price I was paying I've definitely found the best product for my hair type. Thanks again BR!
