L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Fibralogy Conditioner Review

I'm not sure how I feel about this. It makes my hair so much thicker and soft which is what it is supposed to do which is great but it also makes my hair really tangly. It smells devine. You only need the smallest amount to condition your hair with a little goes a long way which makes the product last that much longer.

I was super excited to be chosen for the Fibralogy review as my hair is fine and straight and in my opinion a bit boring - and I was very keen to do something about that. I have only used the Fibralogy Conditioner together with the Fibralogy Shampoo, so I am not certain if it would have any effect on hair thickness on its own, but it definitely made my hair nice and soft as you would expect from a conditioner. Using the conditioner together with the Shampoo gave my hair a more "alive" look than it's usual dead straight and flat appearance. I would recommend to anyone with thin or fine hair to give it a go and see how it works for them.

This review will be similar to the L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Fibralogy Shampoo review, as I found both products performed on a similar level. I have very fine hair so this conditioner would be great if it had lived up to its claims of thicker hair. It was a good conditioner, kept my hair smooth and grease free, which is a hard combination for me to achieve with fine hair. However, I felt almost no thickening effect on my hair. Overall a nice conditioner, and it smells great, but for me it failed to live up to my expectations. I do not think the price accurately reflects its abilities, and feel like there are better supermarket brand conditioners (and shampoos) for a better price.

I accepted a long time ago that I am never going to have the thick curly hair that I dreamed of as a young girl instead of the fine brown hair that genetics actually gave me. Believe me when I say that I have tried everything under the sun!

Upon unwrapping the box containing L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Fibrology Conditioner, then reading through the instructions on the back of the bottle I was happy to see that the use of this product is uncomplicated! Just pour some on your hand and use it as you would any other conditioner. It smells nice, more of a pleasant smell than of a perfume one. The texture is good too and you probably don't need to use as much as I do but I am a bit liberal with my usage so found myself having to visit the supermarket today after managing to finish the original bottle in less than 3 weeks! And the price? I found it for $3.89 on the supermarket shelf! Wow!

But does it actually work? Did it provide a visible difference to the thickness of my hair? I am not sure at this price range that you can expect Fibrology to do this on its own. It made my hair feel silky but even after a few days use I couldn't see a difference when using it on its own. However I find that nothing comes easy when you have fine hair so I continue to have to use a variety of products to layer up my hair and create the desired effect - more hair than I actually have!

Would I use it again - Yipe! At that price, why not? When you have fine hair like mine then every bit has to help doesn't it?

I used this in combination with the ELVIVE Fibralogy shampoo. I have used it for the last two weeks, and haven't noticed any difference in volume! This product is touted as 'thickening hair from the inside', but I really don't think it makes much difference. However, I did find that this product left my hair feeling fresh and clean (along with the shampoo). I would still use both the shampoo and conditioner, but would maybe add another styling product to give it more volume!

Im not 100% convinced that these products actually add more volume. Maybe my hair just sucks. I feel that with continued use these two products could make my hair feel thicker

The conditioner wasn't a patch on the shampoo. Maybe they work together, but it was hard to tell. Same smell as the shampoo, but not quite as strong. The Fibralogy Conditioner was a nice thick well conditioning conditioner and I think it probably contributed to the nice feel to my hair once it had dried. At first I thought it was working in unison with the Fibralogy shampoo, but I did a sneaky test by using a different conditioner with the Fibralogy shampoo and it gave the same result - a nice boofhead of silky hair. Now, it's still very good value, $6.50 for each bottle of shampoo or conditioner (that was The Warehouse prices) and I would probably use in tandem,although I think the conditioner needs a bit of at tweek to make it stand out on its own.

I used the conditioner regurlarly once I received it. I liked the bottle shape, colour and size. It has a faint fragance which smelt similar to the shampoo. It has a creamy consistancy and I had to use a generous amount to enable it to go through my long hair. Using more of the conditioner could mean it would be costly to use all the time. I have extremely thin and fine hair, so while I didn't notice a visible difference in the thickness of my hair I definitely felt a difference to the touch. The thickness stayed at the same level and didn't increase with each use. It was also a little difficult to run a comb through my hair after washing the conditioner out and my hair felt slightly brittle. My hair did soften up on using the Firalogy treatment product though.

As with the shampoo I had pretty High hopes for this to be a miracle product.

I love the packaging, the colours and the label work really well. The smell of the conditioner is similar to the shampoo and smells very pleasant.

The conditioner like the shampoo is quite thick so a little goes a long way. The conditioner I found to be quite heavy on my hair and after washing every 3rd day for a month the only difference I noticed about my hair was that it felt heavier than usual. It was not thicker unfortunately. I will continue to use it to see if I have further results. My hair although it felt heavy was still soft when used in conjunction with the shampoo.

Will I repurchase? I'm unsure but I will definitely try something else in the range :-)

The packaging for this set is very appealing to the eye, the colour combo looks great together.

As for the conditioner, I found it had a slightly musky smell to it, it was quite nice but not strong,

I didn't find that it actually "conditioned" my hair, my hair still had tangles and knots and felt dry. I used this every 2nd - 3rd day and had the same result.

I personally wouldn,t repurchase as I don't feel this product is right for my hair.
