L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Colour Protect Conditioner Review

As with the shampoo I really liked this conditioner. I waste a lot of money buying hair products and finding out that they react to my scalp. This didn't and made my hair feel really soft. The colour looks as great now as when I started using this conditioner.

As I was so disappointed in the shampoo I was not expecting anything from the conditioner. I don't think it has helped with my hair colour at all but as a regular conditioner it worked fine.

Oh my my my my. I am a constant user of supermarket brand shampoo and conditioners. When this fell into my hands, I didn't expect wonders but boy was I wrong. This conditioner has made my hair incredibly smooth! It is so silky. This is what I imagine a Unicorn's mane to feel like! It made my hair shine too like a diamond! The colour of my hair came alive in a pretty chocolate brown colour instead of the dull brown it has faded to. This has claimed a well deserved spot in my shower!

I was offered to trial the L'Oreal Paris Elvive Colour Protection Conditioner. It came in a 250ml bottle, and smelt great. At the end of the 2 week trial I still had heaps left so it does last a long time which is always great.

Unfortunately this Conditioner did not work well with my hair. I have oily roots and dry ends which causes a problem if Conditioner's have ingredients that add moisture, and due to the shampoo and conditioner putting a barrier on the hair it made my hair look dirty the next day.

On the plus side The Conditioner did help stop the colour fading. As I put temporary colours in my fringe I wasn't sure it would work on them but I was suprised when the temp colours lasted longer.

My conditioner review is going to be quite similar to my shampoo review since I've been using them together, The first thing I usually do with shampoo and conditioner is have a good sniff. It smells rich and like it would be nourishing. I think it smells a lot nicer than the shampoo. It comes in a 250ml bottle, so it's a decent size. I like the shape of the bottle but there is a lot of information on the packaging but it still looks nice sitting in the corner of the shower!

It's a thick creamy consistency and a little goes a long way but I'm still in the habit of using far too much as I've got more shampoo left than conditioner... I leave it on for about 3 minutes while I'm washing my face. I've also woken up a few times with a birds nest and used a bit in my hair before getting in the shower to get rid of knots and tangles which worked really well.

I have a red hair colour in at the moment by directions and I haven't noticed any major difference in fade times but it does leave my hair feeling so clean and shiny. I think it would be better suited to someone with a permanent colour in.

There was a day in the last three weeks (bad) that I didn't straighten my hair and left it to dry naturally and it did go very fluffy.

Usually my head is very oily so I wash my hair daily and for the first time ever I have been able to wash it every second day. That is why I will be buying it again!

I dyed my hair about 2 weeks before using this product. I used it in conjunction with the conditioner. The first time i used this, i found my hair dye was still comming out. Since then my hair has lightened and has gone to a dark brown with a hint of purple. I orginally dyed my hair purple. I am dissapointed with this product but I am not sure if it was the hair dye I used or the shampoo and conditioner, as I used a new hair dye.

I would give this another try using the brand I always use to colour my hair to see if it works, but pretty dissapointed overall with the colour of my hair :(

This condition has a slightly thick feel to it, you don't need too much and leaving it in your hair for a minute or two depending on length and thickness of your hair makes a world of difference. I used it after the shampoo and the result was shiny, easy to handle (no knots) and healthy looking hair. I absolutely love the results and my colour looks as great now as when it was first done. I haven't noticed any loss of colour but have noticed that my hair isn't looking greasy or dirty, it is more shiny than I have seen it with 'supermarket' shampoo and conditioner. Would recommend to anyone who wants to see their colour last.

I was really looking forward trying this as I colour my hair quite bright colours. Typically being a self confessed Salon Snob, stepping out of my comfort zone to do this trial was good. The conditioner was nice smelling as per the shampoo, only used a very small amount as only using on my ends. Instant detangle from the knots in my hair was a wonderful feeling. Although it did not say how long to leave it on for I tried to leave it in for about 3-5mins for good nourishment

This conditioner is excellent value, it gives salon quality results on a supermarket budget. The conditionor was easy to apply, smelt devine without that overpowering perfume smell. It left my hair feeling amazing, without flyaways and my colour still looking shiny, glossy and fresh even weeks after. I'm loving Elvive Colour protect.
