L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Arginine Resist Shampoo Review

Wow! I was looking for a product that would help me with my dull, lifeless and brittle hair and this is it! After having a baby a year ago, my hair was dry and falling out in bunches. After my first wash I noticed a huge change. My hair had volume, was notably shinier and there was hardly any fallout. My Husband even asked if I had been to the hairdressers! Everything about Elvive Arginine Resist Shampoo is good. The smell, the size of the bottles. It lathers up to a nice rich foam and washes out without leaving any residue. The price is a winner for me. I'll be adding this to my shopping list.

I'm not sure where to begin with this shampoo... It definitely left my hair feeling lush and healthy-looking, but I'm not sure how effective it was at reducing my hair fall. I usually only wash my hair every 3 days or so, and so maybe I didn't wash my hair enough to truly see the results, but I didn't really feel like the shampoo reduced my hair fall overly much. Towards the end of the the trial I did see a bit of a decrease, but it didn't decrease my hair fall as much as I expected. Otherwise it was a really nice shampoo, as it smelt really nice and left my hair in a very silky-smooth and healthy condition. I will definitely continue to use it as my hair fall did start to reduce a bit, but it unfortunately it just didn't have the drastic/immediate effect I was expecting/hoping for

I get A LOT of hair fall out. Myself, other people, pets and my surroundings are always covered in blonde hair so I was really excited to try this range.

To make it a fair trial (warning TMI coming up!) I cleaned my hairbrush of the blonde wad of hair and cleared out the shower plug/filter thing so I could see how much hair built up on both. Gross I know, but they are both constantly clogged with my hair!

I really didn't have high hopes for this shampoo as it is a supermarket brand making pretty big claims. But I can honestly say using this shampoo along with the conditioner dramatically reduced the amount of hair fall in the 3 weeks I used them. My tangle teaser only has a minimal amount of hair in it and I would usually have to empty the shower filter every week as it would clog up with my hair but I only had to empty it once during the 3 weeks. Plus when I blow dry my hair now not as much hair has fallen out all around me and there isn't as much blonde hair all round the bathroom/house as there used to be!

I love the fragrance of this shampoo, it smells like tropical fruit and it lathers really nicely as you massage it in. I didn't find it too drying on my scalp and I only needed to wash my hair every 2 days as per usual, it didn't increase the oiliness of my scalp at all.

Really impressed with this range, I will continue to use it and probably repurchase.

Good things first: I love the sleek black and pink packaging, the bottles look really nice in our bathroom. The scent is very berry-fruity, my hair smells so good after using this shampoo and its conditioner. This shampoo really cleanses my hair deeply and it doesn't leave any residue behind (or not that I would notice it).

Now, the only thing what I dislike about this product is that it doesn't stop or even help hairfall, I have problems understanding what does breakage have to do with hairfall in the first place (if you know something or have an idea please leave a comment) - as it says in the bottle how it helps stopping hairfall due to breakage... -.^ It just doesn't seem very logical in my opinion. Anyway, using this shampoo for weeks I still did not notice any difference in hairfall (sadly), so I'm a bit disappointed.

This shampoo comes in a funky pink and black bottle; nice and easy to spot in the supermarket. It made my hair feel super soft even when wet and it smells amazing. I found that there was a lot less hair fall after a few washes; I used to have heaps down the back of my clothes after each wash. Pretty reasonably priced compared to similar products and readily available at a number of retailers.

I really wanted to love this product, but unfortunately after a couple of weeks of consistent use, I'm far from convinced.

The smell is gorgeous and leaves hair smelling good after washing. It also leaves hair feeling quite nice and hair is easy to straighten/style.

As for the claims of reducing hair fall, not so sure. I don't feel I can be totally accurate in my review until I have used the full bottle, but I would expect to see some results by now regardless. I am still pulling quite a lot of hair out as I wash and I was really hoping not to be!

I was so extremely excited to review this anti-hair fall shampoo as I seem to have a problem with hair loss through shampooing, combing and even hair snapping as I wear my hair up alot. I rated this a 2 for 'would you use it again' as I would use it again for a general shampoo but not for what it is marketed for. I don't feel I got the results I was to believe I would get. A bit disappointing all round. This does not lather at all first time, but a normal successful lather second time. I cant say that I noticed any difference to my hair strength at all, and I still get the same amount of hair fall, breakage.

I rated it a 1 for "use again" because I didn't find it overly fantastic. I wouldn't buy it again unless it was on sale. The general perfume of it is nice. I found I had to wash my hair more often using this shampoo in conjunction with the ma thing conditioner. I also found my hair had an oily residue after washing/blow drying when using them together. I rated it a 3 for "did it do what it said" - I do feel I had less hair fall however and will be interested to see the results by the end of the bottle. I didn't feel particularly nourished at the root but definitely felt oily. I rated it a 2 for recommending to a friend.. I would only do so if a friend mentioned hair fall. I didn't feel like I had "salon hair" after using the arginine resist range

I enjoyed using this product. I was quite sceptical whether it would reduce my hair loss, but it certainly did what it said it would. My hair loss reduced, no big handfuls of hair in my hand in the shower. The fragrance was pleasant. I did find my hair started to become quite oily, so was having to shampoo twice. I don't think I'd pay $8.99 for this product, overall good trial.

If you're comparing this to the salon stuff I'm used to it's what you'd expect, good but not THAT stuff. However, if you're looking for something more inexpensive, it's great! Smells amaaaazing, and does what it says. Doesn't leave your hair to shiny but nothing some Argan oil can't fix afterwards. I would definitely consider buying when poor student life means I can't afford $70 shampoo but still want nice hair products!
