Thanks to BR for sending me this to review.
The packaging is pretty standard Head and Shoulder's packaging, but sufficiently sturdy-feeling that it seems drop-proof (at least a time or two!). The smell of the products is good, not overpowering, and pretty unisex.
The whole regime as a unit is really, surprisingly good. I had tried Head and Shoulders in the past, and never really got along with it for my hair. When the BR review opportunity came up, I thought I'd give it another chance, and I'm really glad I did! I can see this being a good regime for me going forward.
This has left my hair feeling clean, soft, not weighed-down, and my scalp is flake-free and not itchy! It's a winner for me.
I have been using head and shoulders for a couple years now as I have always suffered from dandruff and very dry dead hair and have tried many different shampoos and conditioners but head and shoulders has been the only one to do as it has promised. It leaves my hair feeling soft, silky and full of life! My dandruff is pretty much gone and I have my confidence back to go out in public and not be worried that someone will point out my flaky hair. I use head and shoulders 1-2 times a week and that is enough to keep my hair always feeling smooth. However, this certain type of head and shoulders did indeed leave my hair soft and silky but it also did dry my hair out a bit and left it a bit poofy due to me having curly hair. This was probably due to its anti dandruff properties that could have caused it to leave my hair a bit dry and needed to use a hair oil after to keep the moisture. But my hair is naturally very dry so this could have been a factor. The smell of this one was very pleasant and subtle and I could smell it in my hair for the next 3-4 days which was nice. I recommend using a table spoon of each shampoo and conditioner 1-2 times a week. If you have dandruff this is the perfect product for you I’d recommend not using too often as it does tend to dry out the hair a bit but that’s worth it for the anti dandruff properties!
The shampoo seems to dry the hair the most but is easy to spread and covers well so you only need to use one tablespoon and only one wash. I found using the shampoo twice dried my hair too much so found out only one wash was needed. However, it smelt great and left my hair clean.
The conditioner helped make my hair silky and soft giving life back to my hair. This also only needed 1 tablespoon and one wash. It left my hair soft and smelt great. This had great coverage and probably needed slightly less than the conditioner as it spread very well in my hair.
Tips: Use both products 1-2 times a week. Only need about a tablespoon of each.
