Clay shampoo a winner

The clay shampoo has the same medicinal smell that the whole clay range has. Its not unpleasant, reminds of something clinical, but i must admit it is the least favourite aspect of this entire range. However getting past the smell, the works amazingly well with the clay mask and the clay conditioner. It is a pretty green/blue colour and you don't need much to lather up your hair. I use it twice each time i wash, and my roots are indeed squeaky clean, in fact they do squeak, when i have finished. It does extend the amount of time between washes, i was washing my hair daily , but can now go two days without having to do so. I like this range very much and will continue to purchase it, it is now my go to shampoo and conditioner and i'm very pleased to have been picked for this trial and to have discovered how good it is.

Tips: Don't use too much and wash twice.

L'Oreal Extraordinary Clay Shampoo

I seem to have collected a huge range of shampoos, all claiming to help oily hair. To date I have not been happy with the results of these many formulas.

Until now! Being selected to trial this range for oily roots was like a dream come true for me. Of course I said Oh yes, this one is for me.

After using the clay mask, the first step of this range I moved onto the shampoo. This shampoo comes in a 250ml plastic bottle and for $6.59 is great value for money. The colour of this range is the prettiest aqua/blue I have seen.

The texture of this shampoo is beautifully smooth and smells gorgeous.

I shampooed after I used the mask from the same range, like I would normally and it lathered up well and washed out easily. My hair felt smooth while still wet. I followed with the conditioner from the same range with very pleasing results.

I dried my hair and went about my day, I even went to the gym after work. I went to bed later that evening wondering how my hair would be looking in the morning.

I was pleasently surprised. After my shower[wearing a shower cap] I styled my hair like usual and not a drop of excess oil was to be seen. I was so happy with the results.

This range is an absolute winner for me and I will continue to use it. I feel that I have found my holy grail of hair care products.

Tips: Use with the complete range , the results will amaze you.

Clay shampoo

I am cursed with oily hair, that I need to wash to wash my hair every day, and at a stretch maybe every second day, which tends to be a bit greasy up top and frizzy elsewhere. So a product promising to help with this is exciting

The shampoo lathers well and leaves my hair feeling really clean. It is a really thick consistency - so much so that if I don't squeeze hard enough it disappears back into the bottle! Nice and thick but doesn't weigh down my hair.

I love the turquoise/aqua colour of the bottle, but I do prefer see through bottles so I can see how much product I have left. And even though the shampoo and conditioner bottles are different in that one sits upright and vice versa, they are still too similar and I would still get them mixed up. Maybe just too early in the morning for me.

Overall it is a good shampoo. Not sure if on it's own it would help with oily roots but is designed to be used in conjunction with the mask, conditioner, and dry shampoo. For those reviews - check them out under those products.

Tips: Only needs a wee dollop as it is quite thick

Just an average shampoo

I'm feeling like a negative Nellie about this entire range (which I'm grateful to BR for sending to me!) To keep it brief: The pros: *It cleanses my hair. Hair is left feeling super clean and nourished. In conjunction with the clay mask, my hair felt clean * It smells nice. * A little bit of shampoo goes a long way (when used in conjunction with the mask) * It's a super affordable range ($5.50 ish for a 250ml bottle) * It's easily available

Cons * My hair was left quite fluffy * My hair had an unusual amount of flyaways * It did not keep my oily roots at bay - my hair is just as oily as it always is, maybe, just maybe, more oily...!

On balance, I'm not a fan of this range, I think there's better product out there that do a better job - I prefer the red L'oreal Elvive range, which I've used on and off for a few years.

On the fence

I really don't know which way to go with this Shampoo as I love the scent 'salon fresh', the packaging - beautiful aqua blue and the price is definitely affordable and best of all it does make my hair feel less oily at the roots and refreshed BUT not for 72 hours. I would say that I get 2 days MAX without the oily feeling returning and that is heightened if I then add the Dry Shampoo from this range. Even if I use the Clay pre-shampoo mask it's only a good 2 days, which I suppose is better than the 1 day I would normally get..although I would like to test that result with the shampoo alone without the pre-mask.

The most noticeable difference I found when using this product during my shower routine is that my hair definitely felt dryer in the stage between rinsing and applying the conditioner.

Would I use this again...yes I most likely will...but does it do as it claims...not fully.

Not for me...

I always feel bad when I place a bad review or even a slightly below average review. I have tried this product and I keep trying to see if it will get better but for my hair it just didnt do anything for me. I have natural hair on the top and bleach blionde ends.... think ombre but really grown out. I get oily roots when it is close to wash day and I wash my hair twice a week.

Using this product in the shower (obviously hahaaha), I like how it sat with the tops down which would mean the product would be easy to get that last little bit out (big plus). It has a pleasant clean smell (I am more of a OMG fruit or OMG sweet tasty wonder smell fan myself). It foams up and seemed to wash out easily. I did not need to do my usual two sampoo wash. But after conditioning and then drying my hair it felt heavier? It felt weird, something was off and I have no idea what it was.

It did remove the oil but it left my hair feeling bla. I do not need help feeling bla! By day 3 my hair was oily and gross perhaps more than usual. I think this really didnt agree with my hair type.

I did give it a good try and it did do what it said it would. It just also made my hair heavier and feel weird.

Tips: Try it for yourself to see if it suits your hair type better

Extraordinary Clay Rebalancing Shampoo

I was lucky enough to be selected to trial this range thank you BR. I have very oily roots so was eager to see if this could make a difference. I typically have to wash my hair every second day.

It comes in a aqua colored bottle that can stand upside down. It has a lovely scent. The consistency is semi thick and white pearl like.

This shampoo is easy to lather up and rinse off. It claims to give you 72 hours of freshness and light lifted roots. It unfortunately didn't for me however used in conjunction with the Clay conditioner and clay Pre-shampoo mask (which are in separate reviews), it definitely helped. It left my hair feeling clean and light. I would recommend.

I personally always use the same brand of shampoo and Conditioner together so can not comment on Wethersfield this product would work by itself.

Tips: Use in conjunction with the Clay Detox Conditioner.

Squeaky Clean

The shampoo is good. I think even if I didn't use the clay mask I would consider using just the shampoo and conditioner by themselves. Lovely fragrance and easy to work with. I do notice that my hair is lasting longer between washes but can leave your hair a bit dry and frizzy once dried.

I didn't have a problem with my hair dye washing out - very minimal if any.

Tips: You might feel a bit dry and frizzy once the hair is dried but I reckon it's all about the blowout. Use the direction nozzle if you have one. I also use a spritz of light conditioner on my ends.

L'Oreal Paris ELVIVE Extraordinary Clay Shampoo

This smelt nice and fresh so I thought I would give it a try. With all the clays I was a little concerned that it might be too drying but I planned to use when my roots were oily. I got a big bottle for about $5 on special. I wouldn't use this every time I wash my hair as I think it could still potentially be drying and take colour out of my hair fast. Ideally this is a clarify detoxify type shampoo I think. Also over use will stimulate more oil production from your scalp. My hair felt clean after use and soft but it wasn't super soft or amazing. The scent did seem to gently linger in my hair for a little bit so that's good I like strong scents these days but this is not overpowering or very strong but good to know it lingers. The shampoo itself is not clear reminded me of an anti dandruff shampoo. I haven't bought the conditioner to go with this. I don't shampoo twice unless I feel like I have to and I didn't with this. It lathered easily and I didn't need to use alot. Does the job of cleaning your hair but I am not convinced it hydrated my ends I don't really understand how a shampoo can clean roots of oil and hydrate the ends. I'm not saying I'd not use this again but I'm not in a big rush to get another bottle.

Fantastic product!

I was absolutely stoked with how my hair feels while using this product. I now only use this as my shampoo/conditioner. Having oily roots and dry ends means sometimes its hard finding the right product that doesnt leave your scalp itchy. This has definitely help a lot in terms of an itchy scalp and oily roots.

Tips: I shampoo twice before using the conditioner.
