ecostore Shampoo and Conditioner for Dry, Damaged or Coloured Hair

Totally skeptical about using a non salon product on my Hair I gave this set a go anyway.

Firstly.. The Shampoo is wonderful. I noticed after one wash my hair felt soft and silky and nice and clean.. Lovely light formula and not heavy at all.

With great success with the Shampoo I proceeded to Condition my hair and this is where things got pretty damn ugly..

My hair is a thick, mermaid wavy, dry and color damaged mess! I have never met a product on this mop that was too heavy as usually my hair soaks up all the goodness it can get from hair products.. What can I say.. Never again.

My hair was SO HEAVY after using the Conditioner.. Felt incredibly dry and actually felt like it had made my hair matted?! I was absolutely horrified. My hair whilst still in the shower after rinsing this stuff off actually felt like it was dreading together like dreadlocks.. And I felt like I couldn't get rid of this at all!

I am not big on having to have the matching Shampoo and Conditioner so it doesn't bother me that the Conditioner isn't to my liking so much.. But it bothers me that a Conditioner.. Which is meant to be the moisturizing icing on the hair washing cake.. ACTUALLY did what it did to my hair.

Highly recommend the Shampoo its beautiful. Steer clear of the Conditioner.. ESPECIALLY if you don't like weighty products and ESPECIALLY if your hair genuinely needs TLC!

I received some samples of the shampoo and conditioner and was really excited to try this brand. Especially because this brand prides itself on being natural and not full of other nasties that some shampoos and conditioners have. I love their hand soap and cleaning products so was really hoping I would love this pair as well.

First of all, I got about 6 uses out of the trial size and I have to say I'm glad I didn't buy the full sizes!

The packaging is distinctively Eco Store, white and plain. It's look is simple and effective, for its natural and healthy image.

The fragrance is different to other shampoos and conditioners, and smells rather like the products in their other ranges. It took me a little while to get used to, but I guess that's what happens when you have a product as natural as possible!

The shampoo only lathered slightly, but it did make my hair feel clean - but my hair was slightly more tangly than usual afterwards. The conditioner was rather thick consistency but was not very moisturising at all. My hair was very tangly and hard to work with after using this.

I have to say I'm really disappointed with this shampoo and conditioner. My blonde highlighted hair craves moisture, which this duo did not give. After using these for a week my hair was extremely dry and desperately needed some tlc.

I was relieved to get back to using my salon products- Kerastase and Aveda that do a wonderful job of giving moisture and hydration to my blonde locks.

Unfortunately I wouldn't repurchase this duo as they weren't effective for my hair.

However, I definitely will continue buying Eco Store products, but will just stick to buying cleaning products instead of shampoo/conditioner!

Loved this shampoo and conditioner. It smells really good and you dont need to use a lot so it goes a long way. The only down fall in my opinion is the packaging, its quite hard to balance upside down so if you want to get every last drop out of the bottle, that can be a little tricky.

I got the detox pack on sale from Eco's website which included the shampoo and conditioner. Loved the shampoo left my hair feeling soft and clean. I didn't like the conditioner my hair felt greasy and heavy I may have used too much. I will try using different amounts to see if things improve. I like the idea of using natural products if they work for me.

I was looking forward to trying the Ecostore hair products, as I like the brand and their coconut soap in particular is a favourite. I found the shampoo and conditioner to be nothing special, and quite drying on my hair. They have a light fragrance and lather ok for natural SLS free shampoo. These products didn't quite do the trick for me, they clean but really lacked moisturizing properties so I wouldn't buy again.

Having loved all of the other Ecostore products I tried, I was quite keen to try this. I love the fact that they are a New Zealand brand and are dedicated to creating products that are good for your body and the environment as well with no nasties.

Unfortunately, this did absolutely nothing for my hair and left it just as dry and damaged as before. The fragrance was nice and the product was easy to use with a nice consistency but the fact that it just didn't work means that there is no way I would bother repurchasing again.

I tried this a few times and actually had to stop as i felt it was making the condition of my hair worse, I don't like writing bad reviews but this product did not agree with my hair at all!

I have a high opinion of Ecostore products so I was excited to try the shampoo and conditioner!

To start of the whole in the top of bottles is quite small and I found it was a pain if you had long hair to get enough out.

The shampoo doesn't really foam up well when you massage it into your hair, and so I found that a bit disappointing. It does smell nice however! I found if you don't use the conditioner as well it leaves your hair feeling rather straw like and stiff.

The conditioner didn't spread really well through my hair and when brushing afterwards it didn't provide an easy brush as my previous conditioner did.

It's great that this is SLS free and organic, but it wasn't worth the price for me!

I've tried so many different shampoos for dry hair, spending loads at hair salons only to find they don't work on my hair. A flatmate I had years ago had this stuff so I used it once and it was fantastic. It works like a clarifying shampoo getting rid of all the build up and made my hair feel squeaky clean. I use this product once a week alternating it with other more expensive brands so my hair doesn't get used to one product.

I am yet to find a natural shampoo product that meets my dry frizzy hairs requirements.

First tried this product a couple of years ago and it was like I had washed my hair in dish wash it was just so harsh and drying.

However their new formula is a million times better it made my hair so soft and manageable. However as with many shampoos it quickly stopped working. But good to use in conduction with other shampoos on rotation.

Smell is nice and faint and not over powering like I prefer.

Good product for those looking for a natural option and hair is not super dry.
