L'Oreal Paris ELVIVE Extraordinary Clay Dry Shampoo Review

Two words: game. changer.

This dry shampoo is the bomb. It is effective and super easy to use. You can use it to stretch out a wash for another day or two, as it instantly refreshes your hair. Or you can use it to give your hair a bit of oomph. I tried it with both and both circumstances the spray was effective and the result lasted all day.

It left no visible residue (you do leave it for a few minutes and then brush and style your hair as normal) and also didn't leave my hair clumpy or crunchy like I've had happen with dry shampoos before.

The only downside - I wish the can was redesigned just a smidge. I kept placing my finger oddly which made the spray go in crazy directions! A more defined 'finger spot' and this would be absolutely perfect.

I have only recently discovered dry shampoo - I thought it was a young trendy thing and not something I would need. The brand I have tried was Tresemme.

But wow what a world of difference L'Oreal Paris ELVIVE Extraordinary Clay Dry Shampoo is from Tresemme. For a start it is specifically designed for my hair type - oily roots. My hair is only shoulder length, so has no length to disperse the oils down.

It's a fine line between too oily and stripping your hair of natural oils so I don't wash my hair every day - probably every three as a rule. So I tried this dry shampoo on day three.

I found the can easy to use and the instructions easily understood. I followed these instructions and was left with a great result - instant lift and revitalisation. My hair felt like it had body again and naturally fell into style. There was no sticky feeling or visable signs of product in my hair.

In-fact the next morning my hair still felt great. The roots were not oily and the effect of the dry shampoo clay element had worked for me.

What a great product for those in between days or definitely something to pack on a camping holiday when showers are scarce.

For me a bigger can would make sense for a budget conscious shopper.

This is my go-to product now! I love the scent, I love the size and I love the results! At first I totally over did it, too much, too close and it left grey streaks...which I recently took care of the naturally occurring ones hehe. Once I got myself sorted, sprayed 15cms away from my hair, I got really fantastic results. I use it at night before bed on the 2nd day after washing and I wake up with fresh, volumous hair.

I am such a lover of dry shampoo and don't think I could live with out it. my expectations for this was very very high and I wanted to get great results from it but it just didn't live up to what I wanted. The smell is really nice and similar to the rest of the range I really like the smell but can definitely imagine it being a bit overwhelming for some people. I currently use the Batiste dry shampoo and it is my holy grail so it's hard to find something to compare to that. One thing it definitely does is add volume and I would say more than any other dry shampoo I've tried and I'm not sure if that is the clay element or what but I really do like that. The dry shampoo side doesn't really work though. It definitely does help my hair look and feel less oily but there is just something missing that makes it less amazing than other dry shampoos out there. And as most dry shampoos will do, it leaves a powdery substance that can be mistaken for dandruff but as for the Batiste dry shampoo I use it in the brunette one which really does make a difference.

I found the dry shampoo to be the added bonus in the Loreal Clay Hair Care range! The icing on the cake, for those days between shampoo when your hair starts to feel limp and flat but not bad enough to justify a wash. To use, just spray on your roots, focusing on your problem areas, applying in sections and letting it absorb all the oil & impurities for a couple of minutes before brushing any excess off. For best results, apply before bed so it can get to work while you sleep, and you’ll find you wake up with clean-feel, light and manageable hair the next morning. I have used dry shampoos of other brands and some I find leave whitish, powdery residue but I didn’t have this issue with this product. Also love the handy size of the bottle = can fit in totes and handbags. While it works really well as part of the entire clay range, it also works well by itself too so will definitely buy and use again. It smells great too!

This dry shampoo comes in an easy to use spray can. This dry shampoo smells nice and fresh and isn't too overpowering. Since trailing this range I have managed to stretch out washing my hair every second day ( I usually wash it everyday). This dry shampoo is perfect for in between washes.It is best to spray it 20cm away from your hair and then brush through to avoid excess buildup of the product. It seems to absorb any excess oils on the scalp occurring in between washes. This dry shampoo made my hair feel clean and fresh as if it had been washed every day. Overall this is the best dry shampoo I have used and I will be purchasing it in the future.

I've tried this recently and made this my go to dry shampoo. I really love the smell because it smells like I just washed my hair. It removes oil from my hair but the consistency is not that much of a dry shampoo. I love that it adds volume and it's perfect to style my hair after using this. This stays on my hair for a day and I never had to spray again for the rest of the day.

There are heaps of choices for a dry shampoo but you should give this a try.

Before trying this my go to was baptiste, and mine had just run out so this was perfect timing! I wasn't sure what the clay elememt would do to its dry sampoo properties, but I was super excited.

As per instructions, I sprayed it at my scalp like I usually do, and left it for a while before combing it out. Usually I comb my hair upwards and in all sorts of weird directions to add volume to my hair. It did make my hair look a fraction less oily and add more volume to it. My hair tends to go flat and stick to my scalp when it gets oily so this helped reduce that a little. But it definitely didn't make my hair look 100% fresh again. The lightness that my hair has when it's just been washed just wan't there. Now I'm not asking for miracles, even baptiste doesn't give me 'just washed' vibes. But this was a little less effective than baptiste. I do really like the fragrance that it has though, it's strong enough that my hair and my bathroom smell nice after using it.

Price wise it's similar to baptiste, but I might go back to that because it feels more effective. The added clay claim (what a tongue twister!) didn't do anything beyond my expectations.

I have been using bastiste dry shampoo and like it, it freshest my hair well and smells good. Unfortunately as much as I fell in love with this whole range the dry shampoo was not one I would rebuy. It didn't do much in the way of freshening my hair up and it also didn't smell that great. My hair can't go long without a wash, I would normally wash it daily so using a dry shampoo has been a great thing to have on hand if I don't get time to wash my hair, a quick spray and it will pass for the day. This brand however didn't make enough of a difference to my oily roots to warrant a rebuy. Sorry guys...
