This shampoo smells lovely and the scent can be picked up through the day.
It's thick and lathers well. I used maybe a 50c piece size and it was more than enough for my very long and thick hair.
The toning effect of this shampoo is amazing. My very yellowed blonde was left ashy and sultry.
I'll definitely keep using this and would buy again - it stands toe to toe with salon purple products and I think it actually knocks them out!
First impressions of this shampoo were that the colour was a deep, vibrant violet and the fragrance was appealing. Two ticks so far!
I have thick, long hair with a half head of lightened foils that I've had done for years now. My blonde is quite warm and I aim more for a blended, creamy colour than I do for an ashy blonde- my main goal is to avoid the yellow tones! Needless to say, I've tried a few purple shampoos!
In the shower, I used a fair amount of product to get a good lather all through my hair; I always double shampoo so I probably used around 2-3 tablespoons all up to get the squeaky-clean feeling that I like. While it might seem like a lot, I only wash my hair once a week so I can see the bottle lasting awhile.
Since I was following with a purple conditioner, I only left the shampoo on for 1-2 minutes as I lathered thoroughly. If I'm using a standard conditioner, I usually leave a purple shampoo on a little longer, especially on the ends, to really brighten up the colour.
Once I rinsed, my hair felt clean and smelled delicious. Too early to tell what effect the purple had on my colour but it didn't feel really harsh and stripped like some others I've tried before.
My overall experience with the shampoo was pretty positive. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did- just because I've tried non-salon shampoos in the past and have never really been impressed. I would definitely purchase this product again.
Tips: Either cleanse with a clarifying shampoo first or use this for both your first and second washes- you want to get rid of any build-up before letting it work on your colour.
