L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Fibralogy Shampoo Review

I was a bit skeptical at first because I am used to using salon branded products when it comes to my hair, but was amazed with the results using the shampoo and conditioner together. Smells yummy, and makes my hair feel so soft!

I LOVE this shampoo. Firstly it smells great! i got so many compliments on how wonderful my hair smelt. The smell also lasted longer than my normal shampoo which was a bonus :)

I find a lot of drugstore/supermarket shampoos tend to dry out my hair even though its generally oily. Im glad to say this one did not do that at all! it left my roots feeling hydrated and also made my hair feel cleaner for longer.

But did it make my hair thicker?? Now that im not 100% sure about. My hair definitely LOOKED thicker but by feeling the actual strands (and my skepticism) i doubt it actually is. It does however give alot of volume which i LOVE. i straightened my hair after washing with this and it seemed like i had more of it. It gave quiet a bit of volume to the roots which is great for me and exactly what i wanted.

I think I would buy this product again as im curious to see more results over a long period of time. I dont think it made my hair thicker but it gave it the appearance and definitely more volume. Which is all you can really ask for. Great shampoo and awesome price/availability.

I love the packaging - bright and funky colors. It smells great and is a nice thick texture. My hair certainly felt clean but not in a chemical way like some shampoos can. As far as "thickening hair fibre from the inside", I question whether this is actually scientifically possible and I have yet to notice any difference in that department unfortunately but have only been using it for a few weeks and only need to wash my hair every 5 or so days.

I'm not totally convinced by this product, on using it for a few days it started to make my hair feel straw like and extremely knotty. It did make my hair feel thicker than usual but I think that was only because of the straw like texture. I wouldn't recommend this product if you like your hair to feel soft and silky

I was skeptical at first when looking at this product however it does do exactly what it said. After a few washes my hair felt thicker and looked thicker as well as feeling smother. this is a huge improvement my flat hair at the roots and crazy frizzy towards the end from putting my hair in a bun..

First off I think my expectations for this product were way too high and I was hoping it would be a miracle product.

The packaging is great. I loved the color of the bottle and the label and the fact that You can turn the bottle upside down was great as well as it was easier to dispense.

I washed my hair every 3 days with both the shampoo and conditioner. The smell of the shampoo is very pleasant. The shampoo itself in consistency is quite thick and it only takes a little to get a good lather which means it lasts a bit longer. In terms of whether it made my hair thicker - I don't believe it did. After washing my hair felt heavier than usual which I think is a result of the shampoo but I don't believe my hair is thicker. Also although my hair felt heavier it was still soft which was the one of the things I did like.

Would I use it again? I'm not 100% sure. I will definitely try others within the Elvive range to see how they go!

I was really hoping for great things with this product, but unfortunately I was disappointed.Thick hair is something I would give my eye teeth for, so any product promising this always gives me hope! The bottle was very user friendly, attractive colour and pleasant fragrance. You only need a little of the shampoo for a good lather. The product felt for me like it is silicone based. My hair certainly felt soft after using, but thicker? Unfortunately no. Will not use this again, I will stick with the Elvive Volume collagen Shampoo and conditioner in the purple bottle, but I believe they may be discontinuing it as many shops seem to be going out of it? So will be stocking up as it seems to provide my fine hair with volume which is more what I prefer rather than holding on to the hope my hair will ever be thick.

I've waited until the last possible minute to write my review on this as I wanted to use it as much as possible to see if my hair kept getting thicker each time. I'm not entirely convinced that it has e v e r y t i m e but it is definitely thicker than it was before I started using it (followed by the Fibralogy conditioner, which I have a separate review on). Although it hasn't thickened my hair immensely it has done what it says as it doesn't promise exactly HOW much it will thicken but just that it will. It felt thicker immediately after i washed it out and I loved the smell - it smelt like a salon shampoo to me which I liked to pretend I was at the hairdresser as I tipped my head back and closed my eyes to wash it out..aaah bliss! The thick consistancy was something else I really liked also, I HATE it when a shampoo is so watery that when you tilt your hand in the slightest way it's half splattered onto your body and the rest on the shower floor getting washed away..sigh!

I had yet to find a shampoo that allowed me to go longer intervals between washing until I tried this baby! My very long ( down to my bum) hair gets really greasy at the roots even the next day after washing it sometimes but can still be a little bit dry at the ends which really grinds my gears! Most shampoos I try are too heavy and feel like they are dragging my hair down but this shampoo left my hair not just thicker but also feeling cleaner, lighter, and softer.

And to top it all off the bottle is awesome. The pop of colour it adds to the shower caddy and the ease of use from it being easy to pop open and also it sits sturdily on either end. Total win for me.

I have hair that is straight on top but curly underneath just below my shoulders which is very fine, I used this shampoo which did do as it said and thickened it up. It smelled really pleasant, not too over powering and was quite a thick consistency. You only need a little bit as it lathers up a lot. The bottle is attractive and lasts a long time. It felt nice when it was washed out but did mat up a bit. It did give my hair more volume but my hair felt stiffer, didn't flow like it normally would and drier after continued use. It would be good for someone with really thin hair, mine is fine but lots of it. I probably wouldn't use this again, but would be perfect for those with very thin hair

I used the shampoo regurlarly once I received it. I liked the bottle shape, colour and size. It has a strong, fruity, bubblegum type fragance which was slightly over-powering . It has a thick consistancy and I had to use a generous amount to enable it to lather and go through all my hair. I would guess that I would go through this product fairly quickly and could become quite costly to use all the time. I have extremely thin and fine hair, so while I didn't notice a visible difference in the thickness of my hair I definitely felt a difference to the touch. Although the thickness stayed at the same level and didn't increase with each use.
