L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Fibralogy Shampoo Review

I long for the day that I will have long thick luxurious hair and I was hoping that this product would help me along my way. Unfortunately I was highly disappointed.

I used this in conjunction with the conditioner, and while I absolutely LOVED the smell of this product, I didn't see any improvement with the thickness of my hair. In fact I found both to be quite drying and found buildup a problem. As well as all of this, I also found that I was having to rewash my hair more because it seemed to get oily quite quickly!

I wonder if I used the serum as well if that would have made any difference. I won't be purchasing this again. Might work differently on different people, but with my hair it just didn't work!

Firstly, I love the colouring on the bottle, very funky. Yes it worked for me, I have short fine hair and after using this product my hair definitely feels slightly thicker, has more body and seems to be easier to blow wave. Shampoo is thicker than others but I still don't need to use much. I like the fragrance as it's not overpowering, more expensive than other shampoos at the supermarket but as it does what it's marketed to it's worth it for me and I will be buying more and recommending to my friends.

I have used the Elvive range before but this was a first use of the Fibrology Shampoo. This lathered up well, leaving my hair feeling great. It did seems to have more body than normal as I have fine hair and often goes flat easily. Available at the Supermarket makes this product affordable and accessible.

We spend many hours trying to get our thin hair fat and our fat bodies thin, ironic. I commenced using the product as soon as it arrived. Having used almost every thickening hair product on the planet. My problem is fine hair but lots of it. When I first washed my hair I was very pleasantly surprised. All of a sudden my fine hair became fat. Other products I have used cost more than double what this cost and the results were stunning. Other products were also very drying however this one was not. Excellent product and value for money. Thanks for the trial

Firstly, I love the packaging this came in! The purple and blue is so cute and I love the holographic look it has. Texture is slightly thicker than I was expecting, but I prefer that to a runnier alternative! I was really impressed with the scent - it smells fresh, but not overly soapy. The scent stays in the hair too which is nice, I could smell the cleanliness all day long. When I first used this shampoo, I found it gave me lots of bounce, and was complimented by two people for the volume in the hair - bonus! I also found it makes my hair really shiny too. Overall, a big fan - the only qualm is that I found my hair got greasier more quickly using this shampoo than my usual. In saying that though, did lots for fibre and texture!

I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to trial the L'Oreal Paris ELVIVE Fibralogy Shampoo ♥ My first impression was that the packaging was really cute - I love the colours and it is appealing to the eye. Also, it smells fantastic!!! Always a bonus for shampoo to smell good. Using the product: I found that the shampoo was a very thick consistency, and with my long hair, had to use a lot to be able to lather it in and cover all my locks. This was a downside to me, as, unfortunately, a bottle of this shampoo would not last me long. The overall result wasn't too different to many other regular shampoos I have used. To be honest it left my hair quite frizzy around the roots/part. My hair definitely felt fuller, but did not notice any huge difference in the thickness of my hair. However, my hair felt very healthy and voluminousness by using this shampoo :)

This shampoo has been amazing, I've found my hair much softer and thicker and glossy since using it, can't ask for much more than that! Definitely gives the more expensive 'salon only' shampoo's a run for their money in my opinion. The only downside for me was the smell! It is an over-powering strong musk scent that I found hard to breathe in! It didn't seem like a 'fresh', 'light' fragrance, it seemed like an odd choice of fragrance for a shampoo (to me!).

I was very excited to review this Fibralogy shampoo. However, even though it did do what it was supposed to do (thicken my hair texture wise) it left my hair VERY stringy and straw like to touch. This shampoo didn't have a particularly attractive smell to it but I must say that you do not need to use a large quantity of it as a little goes a long way and it lathered up very well. It did however make my hair feel thicker. After towel drying it after washing, I noticed that the appearance of my hair was also quite fly away and didn't blow dry it into my style very easily. Definitely wouldn't purchase this myself.

I have to say that I was a bit dubious about a shampoo being able to make hair feel and look thicker, but this really does seem to have made a difference. From the first wash my hair felt thicker, and looked a lot fuller and bouncier, and smoother after styling. I'm a convert!

The conditioner smells better than the shampoo. The shampoo scent is okay, but doesn’t wow me or smell delicious like some shampoos do. It’s okay though.

I use about a teaspoon and a half of shampoo and conditioner at every wash or thereabouts.

The design of the conditioner bottle is confusing. Because the shampoo bottle and conditioner bottle look similar, I find that when I use the bottles and then try to stand them up, they fall over, because of the convex shape of the conditioner bottle and concave shape of the shampoo bottle. I’d have to say that ‘every’ time I use the conditioner bottle and try to place it on the corner of my bath tub after use, it falls over because it can’t stand up at both ends and I always tend to try to stand it up at the wrong end(That’s a bit of a pain)

I shampoo, condition and blow dry my hair every day. My hair is extremely fine and lacks volume and thickness, so I was very excited to try this product.

The first time I used the shampoo and conditioner, I did notice more fullness in my hair and got quite excited about that. I have used the product for a week now and at this stage I have seen slight improvement, but not ‘great’ improvement. I am hoping that the longer I use the product, the fullness and thickness of my hair will improve. I will definitely continue to use the product and will recommend the product to others should my hair continue to thicken up.
