Garnier Fructis Coconut Water Conditioner Review

This conditioner smells different to the matching shampoo in the range. They have changed the packaging of this product so that it can sit flat and you are able to get the last out of it easier I like that. I was expecting a strong coconut type smell but instead it was light and fresh. When I received this product I had washed my hair recently so I decided to just try the conditioner in the shower on wet hair to refresh and hydrate and not use shampoo. The conditioner was white creamy and nice and thick. When I put through my hair I noticed that slippery feeling that most conditioners have as an effect to the wet hair but it did not have as much slip as most others this to me would make one think that because of this you could feel like you need to use some more - you do not as I learned. Following the first conditioner use my hair felt oily the next day and on the same day I could feel the residue from the conditioner so, even though initially I felt like I needed more as the conditioner is not as slippery on the hair I did not need to use more product than usual and after the first use my hair did actually feel weighed down I needed to rinse it out a bit better and use less. I wanted to leave a bit in my hair to hydrate my ends which actually ended up a bad move as the whole lot of my hair became weighed down and greasy. The second time I used this product the results were far better the ends of my hair were light and fluffy after use and there no residue at all so I think it is key to get the ratio right and rinse out properly the conditioner did not weigh my hair down this time. This product has no silicone in it the purpose of silicone is to add shine to hair but they can build up and make your hair dry in the long run the silicone can build up and hide the true condition of the hair they put a film around the hair shaft but the film can actually be quite drying to the hair as they build up preventing hair oils and moisture from being absorbed. The good things about this conditioner is it has no silicone which means you can give your hair a break as getting rid of the build up can also be a hair damaging process. Using silicone free long term can enable you to get shiny hair naturally as opposed to a falsified shine that comes from silicone or dimenthicone, hair and scalp will become more balanced the natural oils produced at the roots will be able to be absorbed to the rest of your hair like the dry areas. This product did seem to hydrate my hair while revealing the damage to my hair at the same time. I feel like after reading up about silicone free conditioners that I would probbaly re purchase and with the packaging changed to be more kind to the environment by being recycled I think I will be purchasing from this line in the future. My review is based only on a 1 week trial as BR kindly chose me.

Garnier Fructis Coconut water conditioner

In the trial time I managed to use this product 3 times. I have always struggled with oily roots but the rest of my hair is dry from many years of highlights.

The products came in striking but appealing green bottles with sturdy click top lids. I had no leakages when travelling with these bottles in my bag either. They had clear text on their label and easy to read instructions for use on the back.

Like all Fructis products the shampoo and conditioner both have a pleasant fruity scent that I kept on smelling until my hair dried.

Following using the Garnier Fructis coconut water shampoo I applied the Garnier Fructis coconut water conditioner. I used a small walnut size amount which managed to coat the entirety of my hair (I have thin hair but lots of it that is past my shoulders). I left the conditioner in for the 2-3 minuets while showering and rinsed out. My hair felt smooth, sleek and tangle free.

Following drying my hair my roots felt light and ends of my hair felt hydrated and nourished. This product didn’t attack the humidity frizz however but still is a great product. I really enjoyed using these products and will certainly buy again

Love this range.

The conditioner was a bonus to the Coconut water shampoo which ticked all the boxes for me. The conditioner is a creamy texture and slightly more runnier than the shampoo, whereas the shampoo is quite silky and thick. I absolutely loved the scent of the conditioner. It was a subtle but really pleasant scent and it didn't feel artificial at all. It felt like a body moisturiser, only it's for your hair. It's definitely a nice finishing touch after the shampoo which rebalances your hair.

Tips: Squeeze as much water as you can from your hair before using the conditioner so it can absorb the most from it. Otherwise it'll just be diluted and run off with the water :(

Lovely!

I really liked the shampoo and definitely approve of the conditioner. It is a generous size and price for a supermarket conditoner and smells amazing and not over powering at all.

I used a blob on my ends and left it on as a bit of a mask whilst doing the leg routine in the shower (tmi babes i know) and it rinsed out well and didnt make my hair feel heavy at all.

I have definitely experienced a lot of conditioners that are a lot worse than this and are so full of silicon that when you wash it off it leaves that horrible residue on your skin eyuck!

Once my hair was dry, styled and serumed it held remarkably well for thick hair. Usually my hair fluffs up and turns frizzy and curly after two days but my hair held for an extra day and i didnt have to break out the dry shampoo.

Two thumbs up garnier!

Garnier Fructis Coconut Water Conditioner Review

This is one product thats off my shopping list. My hair is very oily and I need to shampoo every day. This conditioner smells like any other conditioner. Could not smell coconut. Infact there is nothing unique about this product. The hair felt soft post washing. But got limp very fast and felt heavy and greasy again in a day. Not a good experience.

creamy fragrant conditioner

thanks to beauty review for sending me this product. in the 10 day trial time, i have used it twice. i was so excited to try this because i recently went to the hairdresser and she said i have oily roots. so this product was made for me LoL.

first off, garner fructis always delivers a lovely botanical fragrance. paraben free, silicone free...GREAT (now they just need to get rid of the sulphate). did it do what it says...maybe. i say maybe because all conditioners are designed to moisture and soften your hair...aren't they?

the conditioner was used everytime the coconut water shampoo was used. honestly...i haven't found it to be overly moisturising...but i guess seeing as i have oily roots i don't need more moisture hahaha. its just that my hair seems a bit 'fluffier' than usual...so i had to keep my hair tied up or straighten it.

i will end by saying i will continue to use this conditioner...to continue trial it, as 10 days just wasn't enough time

Cool as a Coconut conditioner

I really enjoyed trying this conditioner as I have natural tendency for oily roots and as my ends have been bleached they can often be dry feeling and frizzy in nature.

The packaging is sleek and I prefer the new click lids on these bottles versus the old design. The bottle now stands up sturdy in my shower and closed with an audible click so no chance of leaks. I do however miss the signature neon green bottle that was easy to spot on the shelf. The text is clearly written and it's easy to see which variant you are buying. I think the word conditioner should be larger however to distinguish the two bottles more obviously, the only difference is this bottle is slightly darker green than the shampoo.

The smell is absolutely delicious, I loved showering with this and made me want to wash my hair daily with it.

Texture was nice and thick like a good moisturizer, the colour is white and it glides into the hair easily.

I noticed less hair fall during this week which must be a good thing :) My ends felt more nourished and very soft! However it didn't seem to help their frizzy nature.

Overall I like this conditioner, it's a good affordable price and i will continue to finish the bottle and see if it improves my dry ends over more time. I would repurchase this product.

Tips: Leave conditioner on while you wash your body, shave, cleanse your face etc the extra few minutes add more softness to your hair :)

So Hydrating

I have been trialing the Garnier Coconut Water conditioner with the matching shampoo. I am in love with this product! I have a combination hair, oily scalp and dry roots. I have found it to be a great conditioner my ends have had more life and been a lot more softer than normal. My hair has been a lot less oily too! My hair is defiantly a lot more softer and smoother, it also looks fresh and shiny and overall feels stronger and healthier. My ends are a lot more hydrated and I am feeling like I am finding less split ends, this is also helping my hair have less knots and the ends which is making it easier to brush through. It forms a very nice lather which is great too. so it’s working great for me. it’s a nice consistency, smells divine…It reminds me of holidays and summer which is a nice feeling! the packing stands out and i love how it has coconut water in it, which i feel like it hydrates my hair better! If you have dry hair I would highly recommend giving this a go and seeing the difference it can make.

Tips: Try leaving it on for 2-3 minutes on the ends only and it acts as a mask, I have been doing this once a week

Garnier Fructis Coconut Water Conditioner

Garnier Fructis Coconut Water Conditioner is a great product to use after washing hair/scalp with Coconut Water Shampoo. I especially love that it is paraben and silicon free and is actually very easy to dispense from bottle and apply to hair. I did leave the conditioner for about 3 mins before washing it off and my hair felt fresh, soft and frizz free. After towel drying and heat styling hair still felt soft, manageable and so clean and fresh until next wash. I was able to go without a wash for almost two days without any greasy feeling or hair going limp and lifeless on me. Loved using this product and would definitely use again.

Good conditioner for curls - gives me volume!

I was really happy to be on this trial, as I do have quite dry/damaged ends, something I have to think about whenever I purchase hair products.

I'm quite happy that Garnier has come up with a more environmentally-friendly design, i.e. the bottles are recyclable. But what's even more exciting is the fact that this range is silicon and paraben free. I have curly/wavy hair that can be curled to different extents on any given day, and I find it disheartening to have limp hair that's not curly but not fine and straight. And I've been told that silicon can weigh your hair down to make that sad look come to light. Long story short, it's been hard finding an affordable, silicon free conditioner, which this one is!!

And the volume of my curls now!! Not weighed down, but not dried out! Very happy with the results. Admittedly, this conditioner isn't as hydrating as I'm used to, but I wonder whether what I've thought to be hydrating is actually weighing my hair down. It's a bit of a light bulb moment.

The only thing I don't like about this conditioner is the smell. Where the shampoo is subtle and refreshing, the conditioner has a sort of musk that I associate with a hair removal product that I had bad experiences with in the past.

I also would be less inclined to suggest this conditioner to friends who had different hair types as me / who really needed some heavy hydration, as I've found this is more of a balanced product.
