These two are the perfect pair to freshen up chemically lightened hair. The shampoo is a deep shade of purple that for me, absolutely neutralised any hint of yellow warmth that my blonde can take on. The shampoo left my hair clean and ready to soak up the truly rich and luxurious conditioner. It has the softest violet shade and is gentle enough to leave on your hair without it worrying that you'll leave the shower with an accidental purple rinse! I have done this before, so it was a genuine concern! I didn't need to worry though, as these two only left me with the softest, yummiest-smelling hair that has lasted 7 days between washes.
Depending on how often you wash your hair, I think they're right to recommend only using this for one of your washes per week. Perhaps that's why L'Oreal has chosen to sell these in quite small quantities?
Overall, I recommend giving these two a go. If you haven't tried purple shampoos or conditioners before, these would be a great introduction to how effective they can be. On the other side of that coin, if you've religiously bought salon-brand purple products, these could save you a lot of cash!
This review is for the purple shampoo and conditioner set.
I was impressed with this set and it worked well to soften and freshen up my hair. The purple shampoo and conditioner set worked to neutralise the unwanted tones. My blonde looks fresh, healthy and more cool blonde using this set.
The packaging is stylish and the purple looks great in my bathroom.
Also, some purple products can dry out my hair - but my hair felt amazing. It felt soft, manageable and very hydrated. It was easy to brush and style. Overall I have really liked using this set and L’Oréal has made yet another great product with this shampoo and conditioner set.
