L'Oreal Paris Preference Hair Colour - BOLDS

I have a decent amount of greys to cover these days and L'Oreal once again gives me the tools I need to succeed. This easy to use product is available in a bunch of locations and gives me the bright vibrant hair colour I love. Like any box dye, it does smell for the first couple of days till you can rewash and get that fresh dyed hair smell to go away. The price point is great considering I have nearly waist length, thick hair and need a few boxes to get its all covered.

Great at home color in a lovely stand out shade of red. Easy to apply and developed well. Left my hair feeling soft and recieved many compliments on its shine. I have used many box dyes over the years and this is one I would reach for again.

I have bleached blonde hair, which is more a ashy blonde with other tones of blonde mixed in. I received this hair colour in the tone rose (light pink) colour. The product comes with 3 tubes and easy to follow instructions. Mix bottle 1 into bottle 2. Bottle 3 is condition. The intensity of the colour will depend on how light colour your hair is and how long you leave the colour on your hair to develop. I left the colour on for approx 30 minutes, despite instructions saying to leave colour on for 20 minutes. The colour was a light pink colour. Overall I was happy with the colour. It’s super affordable and a fun way to change the colour of your hair and express your personality.

Result - a beautiful colour. Not to intense, just perfect and as shown on the box. Really impressed. Easy application, consistency is good, not to runny and not to thick. Has not washed out to quickly. Gentle on the hair. Doesn't have a terrible odor like most hairdyes.

I am impressed at how much solution this kit has as some kits never have enough if you have longer hair, luckily mines just below shoulder length and there was definitely a great amount.

The instructions are nice & clear and easy to read for those that don't do hoke colour often they should be fine.

It's gentle on my hair and doesn't smell like some do. The colour is a really nice Rose Gold which i love. Has a great amount of after-colour conditioner in the kit.

I'll definitely be purchasing this again especially since it's been hard to get the colour I used to use alot.

Easy to apply and provides a shiny and even result. Covers greys well. However I do feel like the colour is alot warmer than the box indicated.

I'm not fussed on this hair dye. I can take it or leave it. It does an average job of coloring over bleach. I found that after a few washes it faded considerably and looked pretty dull. It was very straightforward with how to mix and apply the dy. I had no trouble following the instructions provided which is always a bonus. The instruction manual was very well written and displayed. Over all I'd say it's an average box dye that does an average dye job.

I have long hair well below my shoulders so I bought 2 boxes as usually I need 2 however with this I only needed the 1 box. About 75% of my hair was grey and now it is a beautiful plum purple colour all over. I was quite worried as the box did mention "Not Recommended on predominately grey hair" but I took a chance and luckily it turned out great. I was told it looks so much healthier as well :) Just one annoying bit was that the gloves were too small for me, luckily I had a spare from another box that did fit. The conditioner is awesome. Overall love the colour.
