Brown to blonde ombré

My first impression of this product was great. The box looked appealing. Inside it had all you needed, good instructions and a brush to apply to your hair.

Before using this I did some research on best way to do an ombré. This helped me decide where to start so I wouldnt end up with the blonde beginning to high or to low depending on hair length and preference this will differ for everyone. I decided to go with starting at the bottom off my hair.

There was a good amount of product for my hair which sits couple of inches below my shoulders. I sections my hair and wrapped a towel around my shoulders before I begane applying the product to protect my clothes. Applying the colour was ralitively easy and think most people will be able to so it and pull of a great look.

My end result was great. I found my hair turned a really nice shade of blonde and colour change between brown and blonde is gradual.

I would use this product again and would recommend it to friends. If your wanting to give yourself an ombré look without paying salon prices I recommend trying this product.

Tips: Do some research first. YouTube have heaps of videos showing you how to section and apply the colour so you can get that gradual look. No one want a blunt line between colours.

Good

Since it's a bleach it's going to damage your hair no matter what So I used this to get the ombré effect and that's exactly what it did so I'm happy It came out a bit more orange and brassy then the box but that could just be me

Easy Ombre at home

I always felt fear to DIY my hair because I know bleach can damage our hair. I have short hair and my natural color is dark brown. I followed all the instructions in the box. The application is really easy with the brush. I knew the final result wouldn't be exactly the same of the box because I had painted hair, but my hair turned a light brown that I love. After wash the product; my hair was a little dry, but I think that's normal. Now I apply conditioner and treatment to maintain my hair healthy. I definitely will use it again.

Wild Ombre #2

I applied the Loreal prefrence wild ombre yesterday. I've had an Ombre before and the tips of my hair still had colour in it, the rest of my hair however is natural. Because I have quite long hair I applied the colour from between my jaw right through to the ends. Followed Manufacturer instructions and timing. Left it on for about 35 minutes.

I was surprised with the outcome, because my natural hair colour is Dark brown I didnt think the colour would lift... but it did :) the ombre kit comes with a special application brush which gave it an ombre effect just like in the salons. I was expecting my hair to lift with abit of orange but it didnt, it lifted to a nice caramel colour which I LOVE. This product was easy to use, easy enough for me to juggle my baby girl aswell as applying the product and timing it. I will definitely be using this product again. It will be so handy having it in stores!

Tips: If you have long thick hair like I do, you may need two boxes. Probably best to get two boxes of the Loreal preference wild ombre kit, just so you can re apply if product dries up and you still want a lighter look :) Follow manufacturer instructions!!!

Ombré

I was petrified to use this product. My hair is quite long and I was concerned the result would be very amateurish and would result in me paying for a professional colour.

It turned out to be a very simple process to apply the colour. I brushed it through thoroughly and found the brush easy to use. The smell of the product was eye watering to begin with. I waited the longest period to allow the colour to work but it did not achieve the blonde as promised. I have more of an orange copper colour which is disappointing however it blended well and still looks ok.

Tips: Make sure you apply in a well ventilated area. If your hair has a lot if colour in it already leave the product on for as long as possible.

Ombré in its simplest form

Was very nervous to try this out as I have long hair and I had never attempted to do an ombré layered look with a kit. My hair had finally grown out of any colour I had 4 years ago and I was glad to see the instructions and materials were very simple including a new type of brush. Application is relatively easy but a second set of eyes is needed to ensure the ombré is level. Unlike the instructions common sense said that one should start at the tips, leave in for a bit and then work the product up higher to give a more gradual effect as per image on the box. Even with my long hair there seemed to be enough product. I was surprised that even the longest time left in my hair of 40 minute still resulted in a coppery light brown rather than a blond. I think I’d have to do a second attempt at the end of my ends to make it blond further. On the bright side it does make for a very natural ombré. The smell of the product (like most colour stripping) is foul but manageable. For the price range I think it’s a great convenient way to spruce up your look.

Tips: As with any hair colouring, best to be in a bathroom. A second set of hands and eyes is also recommended to help ensure everything is level.

L'Oreal Paris Wild Ombre

I was nervous and not sure how easy it was going to be to use this product - as it turns out it is quite easy to use . The application is fairly easy and although it takes some time - I am quite used to this as I often dye my hair at home anyway. Unfortunately it didn't quite give the colour I was trying to achieve but I suspect that was due to the amount of dye already on the ends of my hair! It has lightened it but rather than a blond it is more of an orange!!! Still I like the effect so will leave it a few weeks before covering it over!!!

Tips: If you are wanting this look I would probably go to a professional - especially if like me you already have lots of colour on your hair and you are looking for a more dramatic effect!

Wild Ombré Shade 2 Brown to Blonde

The packaging is very attractive, I'd look twice at it in the supermarket for sure :)

I was very nervous, my hair is quite dry on the ends and bleaching it seemed risky! I need not have worried thou, the included conditioner did the job nicely.

The brush is easy to use, but I'd also recommend watching the tutorials and even having a helping hand to get the back of your head even :) Happy with the end result too, it's not as light as I thought (my hair is quite dark) but still a definite ombre so I'm fine with it.

All in all, I'd recommend this product if you want to try out ombre at home!

Tips: Open all doors and windows - it's really strong smelling, made me quite light headed in my wee bathroom!

Wild Ombre #2

I have very long hair overall ombre was great I would definatly use this product again as I have done my own hair for years instead of going to a salon. The packaging is cool, easy instructions to follow. I liked the black gloves and the brush to apply the colour. I would suggest you watch you tube as to how to apply ombre. I am happy with the colour turned out caramel not blonde but also not orange as what I have read in other reviews, mine is streaking colour through my long hair so using 2 boxes would give you more coverage. At $17.99 it is cheap afffordable to do at home when your ready. Great product overall!!!! My hair is loving the conditioner with the ombre its so soft and smells good.

Loreal Paris wild ombré DIY

My hair is a medium brown colour with no dye in it at the moment. I have long hair, down to the middle of my back. I used this at home, by myself...if I was doing it again I would definitely have someone else do it for me! Found it pretty tricky to do by myself, harder than regular hair dye as you're having to be a lot more specific with where you put the dye. It's especially tricky when trying to so the back of your hair and I was just having to guess where I was putting it and how even it was. Although the little brush they give you to apply the product is a good idea, I found I lost a bit of product because it dropped off as I tilted the brush to reach certain parts of my hair. I would think a little brush attachment that could fit onto the top of the bottle would be a good idea so you could just squeeze the bottle and it would come through the brush and then you wouldn't have to keep stopping to apply more product to the brush. I was expecting the dye to turn my hair a bit ginger as that's what normally happens when I use blonding supermarket dyes but this actually came out a nice colour, very similar to the picture on the box. I don't think I would use this again unless I had someone else doing it for me, as I just found it too tricky and because of that it just hasn't come out as good as I was hoping for, in terms of evenness and blending. But it does do what it says on the box. I think it would be a lot better for someone with shorter hair.

Tips: Get a friend to help!!
