Loreal Casting creme gloss - Dark Blonde

Thank you beauty review for giving me the opportunity to trial this hair colour. Its been quite a few years since I have dyed my hair so I was very excited.

Because I like my hair reasonably natural I chose Dark Blonde which is as close to my natural colour out of all the colours. The packaging of this product is attractive and easy to handle. The instructions were easy to follow, the pack includes everything you need gloves (very important!), developer, colour, and conditioner. It was easy to mix together, and applying it was very easy, there is plenty of product and covered all my medium/long hair. The smell is pleasant as it does not contain ammonia. I left it in for about 25 minutes to develop, then washed it out. The pack came with some delicious smelling conditioner, which was used after rinsing my hair and made it feel beautifully soft. Once my hair was dried off, my hair is beautifully soft and glossy. My hair has a lovely intensity and sheen to it that it was previously lacking. . I would definitely recommend using this product again. The colour has lasted for 3 weeks so far and I wash it every day :)

Tips: Always do a test patch for sensitivity especially if you have never coloured your hair before.

Good hair colour - brightens blonde

I am reviewing: 1021 Very Light Pearl Blonde. The way it works on blondes is by using lemon extract to lighten the hair rather than ammonia/peroxide. I have bleached hair (foils), with my normal hair colour showing through as highlights and partly at the roots. My natural colour is an ashy dark blonde/brown and I was surprised to see that this actually lightened my hair at my roots quite nicely. It's a very subtle lightening and not orange. For the rest of my hair which was almost white blonde from the foils, ended up just looking brighter overall. I was worried I'd end up ruining my expensive foils but the end result is actually quite nice.

The packaging was easy to use, the gloves I found were horrible and very small, even though I don't have massive hands. I personally don't really like the conditioner it comes with, the smell is very strong and two days later I still smell like freshly coloured hair !

I would use it again because it's given me a nice colour, and would be a good way to brighten blondes in between hairdresser visits.

L'Oreal Casting Creme Glos

I applied this to my hair yesterday following the instructions given very closely. Once i had rinsed, conditioned and towel dried my hair I noticed that my hair was much more shiny and soft, although i didn't notice a huge shift in the colour of my hair I'm actually quite pleased with the overall end result. I would recommend using a leave in conditioner or hair masque once you have towel dried your hair after rinsing it as it definitely helped keep the ends of my hair soft.

I have dry-damaged hair and it seams as tho it has smoothed my ends a little bit ? I trialed the colour 100 licorice which is a black

Application is very easy and straight forward, instructions are simple to follow. The smell of this is not strong and offputting as others iv tried.

Overall i would rate this a 8-10 and i think you should give it a go and see how you like it :)

L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss

Loved this product!! My hair was super soft and shiny after using it. Was very easy to use and no fuss to clean up. I am looking forward to using the copper in the winter!

Tips: I would probably use 2 packs as my hair is quite long but other than that was easy to use.

perfectttttt

I am trialing this in the colour "100 licorice" my hair type is dry to ever so slightly damaged :) Heres what i thought...

Mixing was easy, just a two-step process with a bit of bottle shaking involved; then it was time to put nozzle to root. Despite being perched on the corner of my white linen table the drip-free formula stayed true to its word and with the product not containing ammonia, not only was it less damaging to my scalp and lengths, it also meant there were no funky smells going on. Colorant slicked on, looking like Stephen Segal, 20 minutes passed and it was time to rinse it out and use what is probably one of the best conditioners I’ve ever tried – the Shine Enhancing Conditioner. This step loads up the locks with gloss and serious shine and boy did it do just that. After blowdrying things were sleek, soft and subtly enhanced colour-wise - I like.

I actually really like this product- simple to used easy instructions no harsh chemicals and a beautiful colour at the end

This scores a 9-10 for me

Black cherry

My colour of choice was black cherry. (As I usually go for a red shade when dying my hair) the package arrived and the first thing I noticed was the funky shape, bright pictures and massive amounts of info on the box. Very appealing. After opening it up it had the standard colour, dye, conditioner as with most hair dyes. The conditioner was bigger then what I'm used to but I love dye conditioner so no complaints there. Mixing was easy as with other hair dyes. Also about the same for me with application. It covered my medium length hair well and to be honest it actually smelt better then other hair dyes. Usually I'm choking but this was ok. When washing it off it took me about 5-10 minutes to make sure it was all out. The conditioner felt really nice. For some reason when I dye my hair I feel it go kinda hard when I wash it out but this one didn't do that. The result was slightly darker then I'm used to but I did choose "dark cherry" it was soft and shiny and looked great in the sun. Overall great product, especially love the no ammonia. Price tag is more expensive compared to the brands I usually use but It is worth it if looking for a non-permanent hair colour. Very happy with the result. Would recommend it.

Tips: To keep the colour lasting longer use a dry shampoo in between washes.

Not so fussed really

I'm a prolific hair dyer from the day my mother let me dye my hair and I have always used a permanent colour - mainly because I have a lot of hair and wash out colour seems like such a waste of time. I have to say after using this product - I am still of the same opinion. The truth is I am lazy and I like nothing better than to sit in the salon while someone fusses over my hair. Having said that everything L'Oreal says is true and it does live up to its promises but while I loved the colour it didn't last very long and probably because I do wash my hair everyday. In this case I think it is a great product but just not my bag.

l'oreal casting creme gloss

This was a good hair dye. Loved the colour I got but due to not dying my hair in about a year I had a bit ofregrowth so i have 2 different colours in my hair. So i probably needed 2 packs of it. Will just need to dye it again depending on how much the L'Oreal casting creme costs I would by that one. Also the gloves that come with it are great so much better than I've used with other brands

Salon Quality!

When I recieved the L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss hair dye I wasn't expecting too much. I was expecting it to be like all the other packet dyes I've tried and it not to shout out anything special. Boy was I wrong! This hair dye, although I ordered one of the same colour as my current hair, made my colour shine and my hair was so soft afterwards. Even after days of using it my hair still felt wonderful and on par with some salon quality dyes I've had. Will definitely re-purchase.
