Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-Free Review

This used to be my go-to product before I started really getting in to make-up. I found that it had good coverage while also moisturizing my skin. I also found that this did in fact help slightly reduce the oiliness of my skin.

I do, however, have some cons. (1) The product only comes in 'light' or 'medium' so it does not fit all skin tones... I'm lucky in that the 'light' formula has a more yellow-ish base to it which suits my skin tone somewhat - if only slightly more on the yellow side, and (2) it is sometimes very runny and so can get a bit messy from time to time (its spilled in my bag a few times and has been known to quickly drip off my hands when I'm trying to twist the lid back on)... because of this I've also had cases where the product has run a bit on my face.

Would I buy it again? ... yes I would, but only as a form of moisturizer or on good face days... and that is only if my skin tone still fits the 'light' shade.

Would I recommend it to others? ... It depends on the skin tone of the individual and the type of skin they have... but yes I would.

Price: The price generally ranges from $10-$17NZD so it is not too expensive if you want to try it.

I am all about the "natural look", i used to never wear foundation or anything expect just moisturising my face before i started using this BB CREAM. This was my first coverage based product that i really liked and i still do. I have used this product for about 2 and half years, it worked really well for me hence i didn't try another brand.

The good: - reasonable price for a reasonably sized product. - comes in a tube which is easy to use, you can control how much you want to take out so that way it saves you from wasting or taking out too much. - lasts long (quantity wise) - good coverage - really good for oily skin - just settles on the face well - gives it a natural look ! - leaves face feeling soft I am not confident with foundations because of my pores, but this product really just settles on my face and doesn't make my pores obvious. It makes my skin look fresh and natural, my face doesn't get oily throughout the day. It hides the marks on my face. I have only used this because i am scared to try another brand but i have stuck with this only because i feel confident when i wear it, i am not worried about my pores or if it looks caked. It also doesn't make my skin to breakout. I have sensitive skin, so if you think you have oily and sensitive skin i would recommend this :)

Not so good: -only comes in 2 shades (light andmedium ) Can be hard for some people to find the right colour. - coverage doesn't last the whole day but hey most foundations don't too but this surely does the job.

I would definitely use this from time to time depending on where i am going :) i use it less now because i am trying foundations otherwise this is my favourite bb cream and the only one i would stick with and use :)

I tried this as a tinted moisturiser when I was a bit lazy and didn't want a full face of makeup and also as a primer for when I got all dolled up, I found it a bit shiny and oily around my nose, temple and forehead and under my foundation it seemed to roll off my nose. I did like it under my eyes as I got less creasing but overall I wouldn't reach for it over my other products. I paid $6 off trademe so was worth a try.

Great BB cream. Its light weight, comfortable and it looks natural on the skin. the scent is amazing and the coverage is nice and high for a BB cream. Although i have dry skin this BB cream is still really nice as it doesn't tend to dry out my skin at all. my only wish is that the product had more colours because the lightest shade is still too dark for me.

Not what I have expected and I have used better BB creams. Doesn't really do well in covering up blemishes/acne scars. Not very good in oil control. Colour match is alright.

I had tried the Medium in this product range for around 1 & 1/2 months. Would I use this product again? Well to be honest yes I would if the colour tones were not dull and washed out in appearance for people who have darker skin complexions like myself. All in all this product did what it said it would do with a semi-thick coverage (2 applications with a kabuki brush) it provided me with full coverage and SPF protection. I did however had to apply bronzer or a touch of liquid foundation due to the colour mismatch and slight white/ashy undertone. I would however recommend this product to my friends with fair complexions as this would be a great product to use, it's just not the correct one for me.

I have quite dry skin, so I need to use two moisturisers at present. When I put this on over the top of my moisturisers, throughout the course of the day it dries out the skin around my mouth and nose in particular, and doesn't necessarily work well with powder-based products (i.e. blush). Not a huge foundation wearer so a BB cream is ideal for me. Unfortunately with supermarket brands like this, they only have to put in about 10% of the actual product and the rest is chemical. So I think I'll fork out a bit more and buy something with a good reputation.

I brought this product thinking that it would help conceal and clear up my spots. It did help cover them but I find d this product makes my skin feel oily. It makes my skin look shiny. I'm on the fence with this product. I'll keep using it to give it another chance but it is not my favourite product.
