Sticky but Good

I got this mask in the 2018 - A New You BBBE. I was quite happy as I enjoy a tissue mask now and again. I'd spent a hard day working outside in the wind and dust and felt like my skin needed a boost.

The mask comes inside a foil pack and was very wet and saturated with product when I removed it. In spite of that, it was easy to apply and not stuck to itself like tissue masks often are - maybe the higher saturation helps with that?

Anyway, I sat with my mask on and watched a movie. It was cool and quite pleasant, if not a little weird, to have on my face for a long time. When I removed it, my skin felt damp and sticky, but a short time later once it had dried, my skin felt soft and smooth. I have dry skin, so it was nice to feel cool and hydrated after this mask. My skin looked and felt clean and fresh, with no sign of any irritation. After I'd taken off the mask, I rubbed the excess product into my neck - always an area that can do with more, more more, hydration!

I enjoyed it and feel like my skin benefitted from it, so for $4.99 I would purchase another one.

Tips: Apply to clean skin, relax, rest, and enjoy the result.

Iso treat

In isolation atm so I ordered face masks. This one's good I usually don't go for sheet masks. These types are new to me but this one was soothing . Left my take smooth and silky.

Lovely and hydrating

I was excited to be chosen for this trial. I'm a big user of face masks and have quite a collection from clay to the Asian sheet masks (I was in Japan recently and did a giant stock up).

I didn't find this had a particularly strong scent but it was very gummy like when I pulled it out of the packet.

The mask itself is huge compared to sheet masks i'm used to except the eye holes were tiny which just didn't make sense to me.

It was also dripping in product which I found ran down my neck a wee bit while I left it on. All in all a nice hydrating mask but not the best i've used and i'm unlikely to purchase it myself as $4 for one mask is a bit steep in my opinion but could be nice for an occasion.

Tips: Use the excess product and rub it into your hands and neck

The Tissue test!

First of all I like the packaging of this mask, the sleek silver and pink metallic packet is easy on the eye but I do feel like it may be slightly oversized compared to others in the market. It was easy to tear open and also easy to unfold the mask without tearing. I found the blue protective layer a but useless Ann's unnecessary as it's coated in the product anyway, I'm not really sure what it was supposed to protect me from. Instructions are clear and printed on the reverse.

The smell of this product is beautifully floral in nature and gives a sense of pampering.

The feel of the product like many tissue mask is a little slimy in the hands but once applied to the skin it's more of a watery nature and have a cooling band soothing affect from the second it was on. I found the eye holes potentially a little small on this mask as I struggles to position it without hitting some eyelid so I had to cut small triangles out of the tissue with scissors to feel comfortable I wasn't getting product in my eyes. After this it applied easily and smoothly.

It was easy to remove the tissue mask from my face. there was a lot of product left on my face so as instructions say I rubbed it in for a few minutes then wiped it off with cotton pads.

Afterwards my skin felt tighter and very hydrated. It looked smooth too. So I think for an intensive hydration mask this definitely does the job well.

Tips: Check the hole sizing before application and trim if necessary.

Hydration bomb indeed

This product really provides long lasting hydration to the skin. The mask is drenched with moisturising serum. It goes on easily (although feeling a little cold on application to the skin) - and is large enough to cover the whole face. Easy to remove - I like the whole concept because I don't really enjoy masks that have to be peeled off or scrubbed off. It is affordable. The product is suitable for sensitive skins - I didn't experience breakouts or redness. The product has a nice, clean smell - not overwhelming. Hyaluronic acid is great for hydration and is produced in the human body. I did notice that this mask was made in China - wouldn't say that is a plus for me. I have always liked Garnier products and think this is another product that I will buy again and recommend to friends.

Tips: Massage in the excess serum - it is wonderfully hydrating. Enjoy a glass of wine while you put your feet up and wait for the mask to do its work. I would also use this at night so that you don't have to wash off the excess serum but can leave it on overnight for maximum benefit.

Garnier Chamomile Tissue Mask - Hydra Bomb!

I was really pleased to be selected to try this mask. With the change of winter to spring, my skin needed all the hydration it could get. It's great that Garnier is picking up on the Korean Sheet Mask vibe and giving us an easy option to try from the drugstore. Single portions mean that you don't have to buy the whole box. Currently I only see Neutrogena masks in our supermarkets, but sheet masks are available online just about everywhere.

I do have some high end products to help out with my dryness, so it was interesting to compare. My Lancome Sleeping Mask (which cost me an arm and a leg) was a good comparison for this product. Like the Lancome, this Garner has a smooth gel like consistency and really soaks into the skin. You could feel the goodness in it straight off, so I grabbed the blue mask protector and rubbed it all over my neck - I actually considered going further. Maybe next time.

Given it's for sensitive skin and contains chamomile, it was soothing and calming as I would expect. I left it on for 30 mins, as other masks I've used suggest that, before removing.

My skin felt smooth and glowing afterwards. I didn't wipe it off, instead leaving it on so that the product can dry. It may be a little sticky for some, but it feels amazing! I can compare this to the Lancome - ouch it hurts when I say that - and would stock up on these.

One tiny thing was that I felt the eye holes were a bit close together, but reading other reviews, it maybe that my face is gargantuan! haha

Tips: Don't waste any of the product. Rub it everywhere. the décolletage is often a neglected area so this will be an absolute treat for that area!!

Hydrabomb

I haven’t used a lot of tissue masks before, and I was really excited to try this! The foil packet it easy to tear open and instructions on the back of the packet are really easy to follow. The mask was easy to get out of the bag and it smelt really fresh. I applied this in the mirror, as I knew I would probably get it in my eyes and after applying to your face, the instructions say to peel off the outer blue layer. I didn’t have too much trouble with this, as I could see what I was doing in the mirror, however the mask lifted a bit off my face and moved while doing this. The mask was a little too big for my face (as I has anticipated as I have a small face) and a tiny bit went into my hair, but it was tied up so this didn’t bother me. It was easy to smooth the mask over my face- I thought it wouldn’t stick in some places, but once I adjusted the mask to fit my face, it smoothed out to lay all over my face. As the mask was full of moisture and was sitting in a fair amount of liquid, I thought the mask would drip or slide down my face. However, it didn’t drip or slip down, I sat on the couch watching tv while I left it on for the 15 minutes. The mask felt really cooling, refreshing and soothing and I felt really relaxed! My skin also really liked it- it is really sensitive so I usually only use natural products on it, and it didn’t react at all! No rash, itch, redness or sting. My skin is also really dry- but it was feeling good after using this mask and really hydrated and nourished. After removal of the mask, there was a lot of liquid left on my skin so I massaged into my skin. My skin felt kind of sticky after it dried, like there was some residue left on my skin, so I put some moisturizer on but it was still a bit tacky. The next morning, my skin felt really hydrated and moisturized. All in all, while its hard to see the effect after one mask, I liked this and would use it again. My skin felt refreshed and hydrated and I felt relaxed while using this. I wonder if this will come in packs of more than one, as that would be useful for ongoing use.

Tips: Apply in the mirror! It's much easier to see what you're doing and will avoid getting the mask in your eyes!

Garnier Chamomile Tissue Mask.

I was super excited to be selected for this trial cause I love my sheet masks. I wasn't expecting much as I have used a garnier mask before and wasn't very impressed with results, but can happily say this one surprised me.

While the mask was massive for me it will fit many face shapes and would be easy to trim the edges to fit if you so desired to do so.

So full of moisture but not to much that it dripped when removed from packaging, was refreshing and cooling for my face. For a lady who is super picky with her cleansing products as most of the supermarket shelf products react i was super surprised with how soothing it was on my face.

Once i had left mask on for approx 15 mins i patted the residue serum in to face but did have to remove some excess so maybe a lil to much moisture in the packaging. But the next morning no residue on face and skin felt amazing so did its job.

Overall a great product as a one off but a bit to much moisture in the product and not really my cup of tea.

Tips: remove some of the excess moisture before placing on face.

Nice sheet mask

This is a nice hydrating sheet mask, just nothing special. I only say this, because I’ve tried a gazillion sheet masks in my life even before they became a thing, used to order them in bulk from South-Korea and they evolved from cotton sheet masks to hydrogel sheet mask, they are much more moisturising and soothing on the skin, the western companies like Garnier took the hype from them, but didn’t get to the hydrogel evolution part just yet, I wonder how long it’s gonna take? It doesn’t irritate my skin, has enough serum in the packet, I usually rub the leftovers on my décolleté and into my hands, so I don’t waste any. My skin is nice and hydrated after using it, however I don’t like rubbing the leftover serums into my skin after removing the sheet, I always take the rest off with some cotton pad soaked in a facial toner and use my other skin products after. I think it’s worth the price if you’re getting it on special, not really for full price. Nice to stock up and have a couple sheet masks tucked away for pampering sessions for when life gets a bit stressful, to me these masks are just as much for my soul as well as for my skin.

Soothing chamomile

I love a good sheet mask and usually pick them up on my travels through Asia. It’s great to now be able to pick some good options up in my local supermarket. These are often on special so can be picked up at a good price. Personally I think the full price of $4.99 is a bit much for a single use item.

As this version of the mask is chamomile, I was expecting it to be moisturising and soothing. It felt exactly like this when it was on and it didn't drip at all. There was still a lot of serum left on my face when I removed it which I lightly patted in. It did feel quite sticky so I didn’t put any moisturiser on afterwards. The next morning my skin still felt soft and supple afterwards. I don’t think this mask has any long term benefits but I would use this again as a relaxing treat.
