Foundation sponge

After the foundation sponge was recommended to me I brought one. It’s light weight and easy to hold in your hand, you use a different technique to a brush, sponging. I found the effect was smooth finish to my foundation and makeup up did go on smoothly. I only use occasionally as I prefer powder as an everyday cover.

Tips: Use only a small amount and spread, I tended to put too much on the sponge at first and it took a lot more blending.

1 and done

I fell into the sponge craze but prefer brushes for the simple reason their easier to clean. I could not wash this sponge and feel confident it was actually clean or dry enough in the center.

It's great to help blend but I'd feel better not using it multiple times to be honest.

I dont understand the hype

I still don't understand how this product is any better than my everyday sponge that i use. I was able to pick this up on sale, buying into all the hype and i was utterly disappointed. It did nothing different. I got the same coverage and smooth look as i always do. It really was a waste of money. It was easier to hold because of the rain drop shape but other than that, its just a sponge. I also found it a lot harder to clean.

Not Sold on it.

I brought this sponge after I read the reviews however after several attempts I still couldn't make it work. I found by applying my foundation first by finger and using the sponge to press in worked better. I also felt I used way to much foundation when using the sponge.

Very average

I decided to splurge on this product at Sephora and it is safe to say I was thoroughly disappointed. The blender is very similar to one’s I have bought from Kmart, the warehouse etc.

Tips: Don’t waste your money just get a Kmart beauty sponge

Beauty Blender's fuss didnt add up...

Well, I was truly disappointed in this Beauty Blender that everyone was talking up.... others will think that I am just being negative, but this is what I found...

I was disappointed because, as soon as I tried it... it tore!!!!! :O I thought, oh geez, did I do something wrong, but I was blending it in dabbing and lightly blending outwards near my inner corner of my eyes and it tore!!! I couldn't believe it. i wasn't even doing it hard or anything, so maybe it was a odd one, i don't know, but i know that i was doing what chicks on youtube do.

I also noticed it soaked up ALOT of my BB cream that I used, which I didn't like, as most of you know, you don't want to use up your product too soon.... and when I used my BB cream on it, it got soaked up and also made the Beauty Blender dry. :(

I wouldnt recommend it to friends because I didn't like it and it wasn't "that great" for me.

when I was blending, it didn't entirely blend in as perfect as I thought it would... no matter how much I tried to dab and move gently, I could still feel residue of my bb cream on my skin, even after using the other side of the B.B

Over all, I was really disappointed with it, and I think, for the price, that it is not worth it.

I wouldn't use it again...

Tips: Don't buy it.

Why the hype??

I've always adored the concept of the Beautyblender, and after buying (and completely falling in love with) the XOBeauty Flawless Finish Sponge which was a much cheaper alternative, I was even more excited to finally try the Original Beautyblender.

Unfortunately, it was a bit of a let down by comparison - I found it far too soft and pliant. It was so soft that it didn't really 'bounce' on my face the way people talk about, and didn't really seem to 'smoosh' the product in the way I'm used to.

Personally, I found the firmer, bouncier version by XOBeauty to be much more effective at properly blending foundation into an airbrushed finish, and I'll be sticking with that one over the Beautyblender.

beauty 'blunder'

its awkward and large, you need heaps of makeup on it and it is overall terrible, I brought one online and received it today, why did I bother? I got caught up in the hype and was disappointed with what I got, I don't like it.

Not for me Beautyblender!

I was so disappointed in this product. I have used sponges before, and found that I ended up using a lot more foundation with a sponge, than a brush or my fingers, but with all the hype I thought I would give it a go. This was no exception, I found even though I followed the instructions religiously , used it damp. It still soaked up my foundation. I'm not sure if its the foundation I use, which is Estee lauder double wear, but it just didn't leave my skin flawless and airbrushed and a perfect blend. It just doesn't work for me and my foundation and my skin. It was a great disappointment to me, but I know others rave about it, it just didn't live up to the hype for me , especially for the price.
