To dupe or not to dupe? that is the question

I bought a beauty blender about a year and a half ago, The day i got it i almost wee'd myself i was so excited, it felt amazingly soft, so squishy, so awesome!

Around the same time i also decided to order a few cheapy dupes off ebay just to see if they were any good. And because i became so addicted to using my beauty blender that i felt i needed spares for when my beauty blender was dirty and needed a wash.

After the arrival of my cheapy dupes, i became torn between which was better. I know most people say there is a huge difference, but in all honesty, to me, there wasnt very much difference, Besides the fact that the beauty blender was softer, they both still did the exact same job.

For those of you who have not invested in a beauty blender yet, i suggest checking out a cheap alternative first, you may find it good enough and save yourself a few pennies, But the true beauty blender is still, in my oppinion, well worth the money.

For application of foundation i would give it a 10/10 Application of Concealer 10/10 Blending of foundation and concealer 10/10 Application of creme blush 8/10 as i find a duo fiber brush better but this still does a reasonably good job.

Hope you find this helpful

Oh you've saved me a penny! The hypre makes me think I want it. But the wallet can't spend that much! So, I might just try a cheaper version until I've saved up. Thanks for your review.

Love this. Great makeup without all the mess.

I just recently bought myself one of these beauty blender's as I had aquired some foundations that I was finding weren't going on so well with my brushes. The Beauty blender is absolutely amazing as it completely blends in your make up and doesn't leave streaking, like brushes do.

Like most sponges it does soak up a bit of the product, but not so much that you end up with no makeup on your face.

The nicely pointed end and curved edges make it really easy to apply makeup all over you face, even in those annoying creases around noses and eyes.

I used it to blend in mouse foundations and my concealer and it worked brilliantly. It is also really reasonably priced but if you are looking for something a bit more economical you can always shop for the imitations, which soak up a bit more product but still work.

I would definitely recommend this to all of you who want streak free and well blended makeup.

Tips: Make sure you was you blenders after every use otherwise it will get ruined as well as being unhygienic.

Really nice, luxe sponge

How can a sponge be luxe? By being the Beauty Blender. There is nothing like this, it is such a fine, soft texture and the alleged dupes out there are not worth your time or money.

This is designed to be used wet so that it doesn't suck up your foundation. I find it does still use more foundation than other application methods would (fingers, brushes), so I don't use this with my really expensive foundation. It's okay though because the finish it gives is so good that it makes cheaper foundations look good!

Tips: 'Bounce' it across the skin for a smooth finish.

thought it would be worth a try and I LOVE

i have only used my blender a couple times but i will never go back. my skin has such a nicer dewy finish blends amazing makes my foundation look perfect every time. i was quite sceptical when i purchased but am happy so far as long as it lasts a decent amount of time i will be happy and re purchasing.

Tips: definitely use damp. with a fresh rinse each time. and wash regularly with the cleaner that can be purchased together.

So glad I have one of these :)

I had heard about the Beauty Blender from a lot of the Beauty Guru's who I follow on Youtube, they highly raved about it! So I thought why not give it a go. When I first used it to apply my foundation I thought it was nice and hydrating to the skin but because I have more of an oily skin type my skin itself doesnt need this added hydration and I wasnt use to the dewy look that it gave my skin, even when I tried to set it with a powder it still had that look. Im definately more of a matte finish kinda girl so I didnt use it for a wee while. BUT... One day I saw one of the girls that I follow on Youtube using the Beauty Blender to apply her undereye concealer so I thought to try it, I havent used a brush to apply my undereye concealer ever since! Even when I do my friends make up I use it because it gives an amazing finish, I trust that its not going to disappoint and they are always so amazed with how their skin looks and feels after using it! It gives a beautiful finish and is lovely and hydrating which is great especially for the undereye area as that is an area of the face that struggles to get natural moisture in the first place. It also goes perfectly with both my high end and low end concealers. This is a great wee tool to have in your make up kit or to use in your daily routine if you have more of a normal to dry skin as it gives a lovely dewy finish to your skin and will feel amazing in the dry months/ days.

Tips: I havent even bothered trying to use this bone dry but I do notice a difference if I havent made it damp directly before use, doesnt have the same finish otherwise. So make it damps every time and do set it, especially with the undereye area.

I was skeptical, but so worth it

This is the most I will ever spend on a sponge, but wow was it worth it. It is less efficient with your product than using a brush or your fingers, as it seems to soak up foundation super fast, but it gives such a flawless finish! No more brush strokes!

Must have!!!!

I've been using the beauty blender for almost a month now and it honestly is my holy grail tool. The best part of this sponge is that I can clean it and not have to worry about waiting for it to dry. I use the bottom flat end to apply my foundation which leaves no lines or streaks and I use the pointed end for my concealer :). It's easy to clean and allows me to make the most of my product (if you wet it of course so that the product sits on top of the sponge rather than the sponge absorbing it.

Tips: Wet your beauty blender before using :). When cleaning your beauty blender massage the soap into your sponge for a bit before rising.

I brought my beauty blender from beauty.com using youshop. I'm a sucker for sales I think I got 20% discount when I purchased it so it cost me around $22 nzd. (Can also buy off of urbanoutfitters.com as well)

Worth the Hype?

I did really enjoy my beauty blender, it really did give me a very nice flawless coverage with my foundation and i would use it religously every day! But obviously the dont last for ever and i didnt really want to be paying that amount of money every 5-6 months. So i tried the real techniques sponge. Just the same and far cheaper. So over all i did really enjoy it but found a cheaper dupe that worked just the same for me :)

Tips: I use mine damp

Blending Beauty

I love the beauty blender took me a while before purchasing it but when I did I regretted not getting it earlier. Using the beauty blender foundation looks like it is airbrushed on your face. Another benefit of using a beauty blender is no brush strokes. If you don't already have one your missing out!!

Tips: For faster application spread out the foundation on your face doesn't have to be perfect and then go in with the beauty blender will still work the same just faster. Also depending on how thick you want your make up you can dampen it or completely soak it in water. The wetter it is the more the thin the layer will be

Blending Bestfriend!

So I put this on my Xmas wishlist hesitant because I thought WHO would buy me a sponge for $38.. but thankfully my friend did because I have no been converted to the beauty blender life!

This is beautiful, its applys my makeup so well it looks airbrushed! Unlike other makeup blenders Ive used this doesnt suck any of the makeup up which is such a +++ FAVE WAY TO APPLY MY FOUNDATION!

Tips: Makesure you wash it so it lasts long and because itll get gross with all ya germs, oil and dry makeup!

Dont swipe your foundation on with it, dab (pounce) it on, takes a while to get used to.. my wrist used to get sore haha!
