Soft, fluffy brushes

This is such a fantastic set. I was lucky enough to nab it in one of the earlier vaults and it is the only eyeshadow brush I use.

It's so soft, picks up pigment easily, blends like a dream and I like there are two brushes - one for packing and one for blending. I don't normally pack on eyeshadow so I typically use the fluffy blending one.

Fantastic purchase, so affordable. Easy to clean too! I just use some cleanser and rub the brush against a silicone pad and the shadow comes right out and the brush stays the same shape with the bristles all aligned!

Highly recommend!

Perfect duo

This pair of brushes are thee prefect combo fo applying eyeshadow and blending it!

The sharper brush I use for applying eyeshadow to get it in the precise place I want it, shading it into the area I want it. I usually use it for my lining my lid crease or applying colour to my outer corner. Its soft yet picks up shades perfectly.

The tapered blending brush I use to go over what I've applied to blend the shades together or individually. A pretty straightforward tool! However combined they work perfectly as a duo.

These brushes are long, sleek and black in the handle and brown in bristle with the logo imprinted on the handle.

The only thing to be wary of that I found was upon washing them using a cleaning mat to do this lightly! I found when my shader brush dried there were stray hairs poking out that I needed to cut off. Gently wash, and hang upside down if possible!

Perfect pair, affordable duo!

Excellent Vault Nab

I was lucky enough to nab these in the last vault and am really pleased I did.

They both had lovely long brush handles which I really liked, made them nice and easy to use and the bristles were beautiful and soft and fluffy.

I am not a huge eyeshadow wearer or very clever when it comes to eyeshadow application I’m a bit more of a one colour on the lid and one colour used as a smokey eyeliner type of girl but these worked perfectly with my powder eyeshadows.

They were easy to use, picked up a good amount of eyeshadow without swallowing it and made application and blending easy.

At this price I would definitely purchase these myself and recommend to others to try.

Fantastic Starter Set

After seeing Carousel Cosmetics here on BR quite a few times I thought it was about time that I did a Beauty Bliss order! One of the first things that made it into my basket was the Perfect Eyes Makeup Brush Duo. This includes the Shader brush and the Tapered Blending brush. In this set it cost me $14.95 but if you buy them individually they are $9 ea, so it is a fantastic deal.

The brushes came in a wee purple cardboard box that promptly went in the recycling bin. I must say though I do love the Carousel Cosmetics logo with the wee carousel horse, very cute. The brushes themselves have a black long handle that is very light, and the brush hairs themselves are crazy soft and brown.

They say to use the shader brush to apply the shadow to your lid and the blending brush to ... blend. However I see them a wee bit differently in my collection and have been using the blending brush to put shadow all over my lid and the shader brush to put some colour in my crease as it is nicely flat and tapered so perfect for me to get in there. Never feel confined to what it says you should use the brush for!

These pick up the eyeshadows really well and feel nice and soft on the eye, not at all scratchy. I haven't had any problems with them shedding at all. They cleaned up really easily and dried fast as they are synthetic.

I would recommend this set to any beginner in makeup as it is a fantastic all purpose eyeshadow set at a extremely reasonable price.

Super Soft.

I managed to pick these brushes up in the recent vault (hank you BR!). I'd been curious about these since I first heard of the brand but didn't want to pay $14.95 for 2 brushes.

These brushes are insanely soft. I am not 100% sure if they are synthetic but the way they perform makes me think they are. One brush is a medium sized dome brush that is great for blending and the other is a semi domed, flat eyeshadow packing brush.

The handles for these are a good length and the brushes aren't heavy. I personally prefer something a little heavier. They washed with ease and I haven't had any shedding from them whatsoever.

Because I am spoiled with Zoeva brushes, I find these average. They don't pick up eyeshadow as much as my Zoeva brushes (which are a blend of synthetic and animal hair, so I wonder if that is why?). This isn't a massive issue, it just means that I have to dip my brush into my shadows more than once. I think this is great for people that aren't too confident with eyeshadow as it reduces the risk of applying too much shadow at once.

The blending brush is a decent size and is pretty good at softening and blending out any harsh edges. The bristles are a good length but I wish they were slightly more dense as I have to work a little harder at blending with this.

Overall I think they are ok brushes. They aren't horrible but they aren't the best I've used either. For the price I would honestly rather get some of ELFs studio line brushes. In my opinion they are around the same kind of quality and perform similarly, but the ELF ones are a fraction of the price.

A duo that works in perfect harmony

I have always found it hard to find eyeshadow brushes that work for my hooded eyes to make them pop without over doing it. I usually resort to using my fingers and then rub off excess shadow to avoid the mutton dressed as lamb scenario. That was until these absolutely perfect brushes found their way in to my mailbox and now the newest members of my brush family.

I had never heard of Carousel Cosmetics so of course not being a familiar brand I was skeptical about how well they would perform. My expectations were to be blown wide open when I found myself loving these far more than my real techniques brushes! Gasp! Shock horror I know!! For me I have large hands for a girl so I find it hard to work an eye brush that is far too small for my mits. These are perfect for me. They are long and quality made from what I have found. They are almost paintbrush like which is very fitting considering they create and are themselves masterpieces.

The bristles......so soft and feathery for the applicator brush and distributes that shadow perfectly every time with no fuss. The blending brush spooked me a little bit because blending has never been my forte at the best of times. I kept an open mind and plodded on. I decided to go for the age old smokey eye look with a light base and a dark purple smoke at the edge. It's almost as if the brushes have magnets in them because that shadow wasn't going anywhere. It stayed put in the bristles and went on to my eye without any fall out....SCORE!

With the blending brush it made it feel almost effortless. I just rubbed it across my lid in the blending motion and low and behold smoked eye!! I was ecstatic and every single time after that the same thing happened. These brushes now take pride of place in my top makeup draw along with my other holy grail brushes! The only complaint I would have is that the brush type isn't clear. For someone like me that is still learning what each brush does I have no idea which is which until I google searched it. But for me that is minor and doesn't hurt the quality of these babies. New besties!

Tips: Google the brush sort if you are not sure because for me as a learner I thought the blender was the applicator and vice versa.

A place in my brush collection

These brushes have found their way into my most used brush collection. I have a few brushes that I use often and after receiving these I have used them nearly every day!

The brown bristles are nice and soft, but remain sturdy and easy to use. I wasn't entirely sure which brush was which at first as they are quite similar in size, the blending brush is just a little rounder. I think it would be better if one of the brushes was smaller than the other. The black handles are just the right size, they're not too thick and not too thin.

My everyday look consists of nude eyeshadows and soft browns with eyeliner. I wouldn't recommend these brushes for darker eyeshadows or anything intricate as they are on the larger side which makes them harder to control, with more natural colours they are brilliant.

I've tried them with my all of my favourite eyeshadows and it all goes on nice and smooth. The blending brush really does help to blend, I have a couple of other brushes that claim to be blending brushes but can't get the job done, but these Carousel ones sure do.

They were also easy to wash and didn't lose any of the bristles.

Tips: Fast and easy application for more natural colours. It was quite hard to get more detailed and darker eyeshadows to look good as they're not very small brushes!
