Nothing special

I used this product a lot a few years ago when I didn’t have as much knowledge of makeup and what was out there. It did its job back then when all I wanted was a basic sheer coverage and just to add a bit of colour to my face. I was surprised to find it was suitable for sensitive skin people like myself as it didn’t cause a reaction. In saying that I almost never use it anymore, however I do still use the thin lizzy concealer and the eyeliner both of which are AMAZING. I never liked the lip gloss that came with the set, it was thick and sticky, on the upside it did smell pretty good.

when this first came out i thought it was the best thing ever! my mum and sister still use it religiously. i however find it looks too dark and patchy sometimes. i like it as a bronzer but not as a foundation or anything else they say its good for.

Thin Lizzy 6-1 powder

Sooo unimpressed with the 6-1 powder, I had the lighter colour and it turned me orange! I was seriously annoyed. I wouldn't buy the 6 in 1 again but I do love the foundation

thin Lizzy 6 in 1 Professional Powder Set

For some reason I couldnt make this product work on my skin, It just made me look really brown and shiny, not a full coverage or anything that resembled natural on me :( I tried doing it lightly, I tried building it. The case is nice, it smells nice and I paid $10 so not a huge loss. I just wish It worked on me the way it does on the ads.

Thin Lizzy 6 in 1 Professional Powder Set

I hated this when it first came out as it made me look super orange. Fast forward 8 years my mum wanted to buy it again and the offer of "buy one get one free" was still going so I thought I'd give it a second chance.

I'm still not a fan. I have it in Light and it still makes me a funny colour - maybe i'm applying too much? I don't like the texture and find it a little too powdery and not as creamy as I would hope for. I tried wearing it as blush and it looked ok so thats as far as I would go with it.

I do love the lipgloss, eyeliner and powder brush that comes in the kit. Getting these products makes me not too worried that I wasted 25.00 on the powder.

I have also tried the concealer which I thought was awful it was super drying. They have a pink mineral powder also and I actually really like this product. Overall Thin Lizzy products are nothing like they advertise them on TV.

Thin Lizzy

Considering this product is supposed to have six uses I was a bit disappointed as I could only find one use and that was as a bronzer. As a bronzer I find it to be quite shimmery so I do not tend to reach for it that often. It is also quite orange in colour so I do not find it that suitable for my pale skin tone.

Tips: Not for fair skinned people.

Perfect For Beginners

I first tried this product when I was about 16, and I loved it! It's so easy to apply and I would blend it all over my face. It helped cover redness and blend out my skintone, giving me a nice colour and glow. I'd apply some over my lids as a shadow and practise contouring my cheekbones with it. Buuuut as I got older and learned more about makeup I realised this wasn't doing the great job I originally thought it was. For one, it was much darker than my actual skintone, meaning I had to always blend it far down my neck to look natural, staining the necks of my clothes. I didn't want to look tan all the time either, but this product is primarily a bronzer. Second, it would oxidate like crazy, going orange and setting into the skin around my nose. Then when I would try it simply as a contour, the colour appeared muddy on my ivory toned skin.

Tips: This is great for young teens starting out who want something quick and easy to play with. It's not bad for school either as if applied correctly and light enough, it can still look natural.

A little overtanned

I have never understood the whole fuss over thin lizzy. While the powder is light on the skin and coverage is quite good, even the lightest shade (only two shades light and dark) made me look like I had stuck my head in an orange sunbed. I would be more inclined to use it to contour rather than as a foundation of sorts.

Overated !

When you first watch the adds on tv about this product you think wow ! But unfortunately that was not the result for me.

The demonstration girl matched my colour as light and in the lighting at the mall I thought that the colour was ok but as soon as I got home it was night time so I didn't think much of it. The next morning when I applied it I found that it was quite orangey on my skin. Also when you apply it I found it to be quite messy and I had excess powder down my top and all around the pan on the compact.

I do like the compact. I think it is a very neat design and I like the tin that the powders come in as they seem to have different designs from time to time.

Tips: Definitely take a look in natural light before you make the decision to buy.

Fake!!!

I got mine as a gift and It worked for me when my skin was normal. It says it works well with acne and rosacea well it's a lie. Over the years my red cheeks have gone worse and I decided to repurchase the product after a year from the last thin liszt I per owned I tried it and to a surprise it didn't work for me at all. I don't know if it's how I applied it or it's just my skin to blame. But yeah. Every does have their given opinion,
