e.l.f Eyelid Primer Review

I have never tried an eyelid primer, but I saw shaaanxo - my ultimate go-to beauty guru - raving on about it in some of her tutorials so I bought one! Such a good price, and it does exacly what it says it will, my eye shadow doesn't want to slip and slide and fade off anymore, and I still look fabulous at 2am after a rough night out ;)

Having hooded eyes has meant I;ve always had massive problems with the rubbing and wrinkles from my eye make up. SO after reading a few tips on here I decided to give this Elf Eyelid Primer a go.

What can I say, I LOVE IT!! I no longer have any problems with my make up leaving awful wrinkle lines, and my eyeline stays put much longer. The tube is small but economica, and the applicator brush can be a little irregular in the amount it puts out, but a quick rub with your finger evens it out. This is a great product I'd definitely recommend if you're having problems with make up rubbing. However I haven't tried many other Primers yet, so it will be interesting to see how it stacks up.

I was disappointed with this product, after reading such great reviews about this eye primer. I found that it was too sticky, and quite thick. It didn't make my eyeshadow go on any easier, or make it last longer - if anything, it didn't last as long as it does without this eyelid primer.

I always thought eyelid primers were useless, until I decided to spend a few dollars on a cheap elf one. Then I realized where has this elf eyelid primer been all my life ???

It's pretty much skin coloured, so it does help with discolouration on your eye lids, basically how I would describe it as is something, that the eyeshadow sticks to, and perfects all the imperfections.

The applicator is very nice, and the formula itself is very sheer, and glittery. But the fact it costs a few dolllars, and it works the way it does, is a wow, I would happily pay more for this :)

I am a huge fan of eye primers and this is one of my faves. I love the way it holds onto the eyeshadow but still allows for easy breasy blending. It also prevents the eyeshadow from creasing and gathering in the eye creases.

I was excited to try this, as I have oily, hooded eyelids. They are a bane on my existence.

The bottle reminds me of a lip gloss, as does the applicator.

I got this in the hopes that it would somehow keep my eye shadow ON my lids and not let it sliiiiiide its way into my creases. I also got it because it was cheap, and I heard great reviews about it.

Sadly, it didn't help. Not even a little bit. It actually navigated its way into my creases itself after 30 minutes or so.

I think it is definitely better suited to girls with normal eyelids that aren't oily like mine.

This primer is an absolute lifesaver. Being a student I have not been able to afford an eye primer, but when I saw this elf primer at Kmart, I thought, for $5, lets give this a go! And wow, this has got to be one of the best $5 I have spent! (I have the white eye primer)

Usually, my eye shadow wears off half way through the day (or sometimes even after a couple of hours) but with this primer, I get a super vibrant result with my eyeshadow, which lasts the entire day! It ends up looking the same from morning, until night.

The packaging is very basic and boring, and they could have put more product into the tube, as it only seemed to be about 3/4 full when I first brought it. I found myself having to dig the wand towards the sides of the container to pick up the product, however I am not complaining! I will be buying this primer from now on, as it does the trick, and is perfect for me.

I would definitely recommend trying this out, especially if you dont have any other primers :)

I had honestly never even heard of eyelid primer but it looked something like liquid eyeshadow and I need to add a few extra $$ to my order to get a first-buyer discount so, hey! Haha.

The packaging is just as you see above. Fairly simple but I wouldn't expect anything amazing from such a cheap product and it's easy enough to hold and use.

The tip often gets a lot of product on it so I just dab it on my eyelids and then rub it in/ around with my finger. Haha. Hopefully that's not a no-no.

I've really enjoyed using this product because (as long as you wait for it to set for a little bit) it holds all of your eye makeup in place, which is especially exciting if you have done some eyeshadow masterpiece. Haha. I'll be using this product every time I want my eye makeup to hold for the whole day or night. :)

I have this primer in the tone 'Sheer' and after using Urban Decay's renowned original Primer Potion I actually prefer this one. I find it does the same job as my primer potion and at a fraction of the cost. The packaging is simple and makes it easy to apply. Just swipe the applicator over your lids, blend it in, wait for it to dry and you're ready to apply your eye shadow. I can't go without this product, it stops my shadows from creasing and helps my shadow colours and eye liner last all day. I like that it also makes the colours more opaque so I can use less and get the same colour pay-off. Can't beat it!

What can I say, other than BUY IT AND TRY IT!

This eye primer is soft and a light thin consistency, which blends effortlessly, it has a dofa applicator which gives you a good amount of product.

No fragrance which is perfect for the eyes, as other products can cause irritation. Also it last all day without creasing on my eyes which get really oily!

The packaging is very basic and cheap, and it isn't particularly large bottle, but for the price of $1.99 its amazing and so worth the price!
