I don't mind it as a everyday primer, it is rather runny and I'm not a fan of the smell. I don't think it does much apart from adding moisture for smooth application of foundation. It does not fill in any lines or pores but saying all that I do still use it
For days that I want my makeup to last longer I will apply the australis primer then use my NP set liquid veil over then mineral powder
I would not buy it again when it runs out
I bought this primer from Farmers as it caught my eye whilst looking at other Australis products and I couldn't resist buying it to try due to the price. The product comes in a simple white tube that is extremely convenient to use. The tube squeezes out a perfect amount of primer at a time. It isn't like other primers I have used that are too runny and squirt out too much. This is a plus for me, as it means a lot less waste and makes the product last longer.
The primer itself is a weird, silicone feeling consistency. It isn't sticky, but not creamy either. I found it quite difficult to apply as it dried within seconds and afterwards my face felt like I hadn't applied any primer at all. It's like it just disappeared! It also had a strange smell, which didn't make the product too pleasant to use, especially on top of the consistency.
I found that it didn't enhance the wear of my make up at all, and actually decreased the condition of my foundation. It made my foundation look blotchy and patchy which has not happened with other primers I have used. I found that without this product, my make up lasted the same amount of time and I didn't have the patchy look either.
I have tried this product by itself and also tried it after using a couple of different moisturisers, and have had the same results no matter what. I do have a dry skin, so that may be the reason it doesn't work for me, but despite the cheap price I won't be buying this product again.
