Great foundation

This foundation can look very beautiful on the skin, even though it is a matte foundation, it’s not too matte where it looks powdery. The packaging can be pretty annoying as it doesn’t have a pump. The foundation is a medium coverage but it buildable. It can oxidise on the skin a bit and I don’t suggest this foundation if you have super dry skin because I feel like it can cling to dry skin if you are not careful. Also the colour selection isn’t great. It sounds like there is heaps of cons in the reviews but it is a very beautiful foundation.

Love the finish but..

Love the finish and how it wears but I can never find the right undertone for me. It's always either too yellow or too pink, I can never find anything more neutral.

But. It is a great drugstore foundation. It's a medium buildable coverage and wears pretty well throughout the day without clinging too much to my dry patches. Great product for the price.

Tips: Try and buy it online, it's usually half the price than New Zealand stockists! Let the foundation sit on your skin for 20 minutes when shade matching as it changes with your body heat etc

Good to use in winter

This is one of the two Maybelline foundations I use (the other is Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Dewy and Smooth). This gives adequate coverage but I find it doesn't last a day for me. The one thing I would use the other Maybelline Fit Me Foundation over this one is because this one has no SPF rating).

Tips: Make sure your moisturiser or whatever you have as a base has sunscreen in it as this has none.

Great day wear

I love to use this foundation during the day when I dont want a heavy full coverage feeling on my face, lasts great during the day and light weight.

Great... but not amazing!

So I've used this foundation on and off for a few years now. While I do appreciate the price, I wouldnt say it's really "poreless". I noticed around my nose it actually exaggerated my pores a lot, and the matte effect was quite drying so i would definitely recommend this foundation more if you have skin thats on the oilier side. One thing I do love about it is that it has a great shade range and is one of the only cheaper foundations that makes a shade pale enough for me, so thats fabulous. It also has great coverage and is super buildable and blendable, it's okay on my skin when paired with a hydrating primer. therefore i would use it again but i do not recommend this product for gals with dry skin, it'll make you look crusty.

Tips: Pair with a hydrating primer

Love it

Helps my pores, great colour match and blends so well. It's very good and an awesome price point. I use the matte formula in winter. A flawless match.

It fits!

I have recently learned from a BR pro lovely that my skin is not dry and sensitive like I previously was told. It's combination and can be quite oily in the T Zone area. I previously used the Fit Me dewy finish because I thought the shining dewy look was better for my dry skin. But little did I know that although in places it looked good in the oily areas it made it even oilier.

When I changed my skin care range it only made sense to get the correct foundation to compliment the new skin care regime I had started. Now the Fit Me range didn't float my boat before but I was hoping that this would change my mind on it completely.

I have the shade Natural Beige 220 which is slightly darker than the last one I bought. I am guessing that my skin tone changed once summer came around and I have been kissed by the sun. The formula is quite a lot thinner than I am used to with other foundations. It made it feel like it wouldn't give me the coverage I craved from it. I pressed ahead nonetheless.

I used a RT foundation brush to apply the foundation to get the most flawless look I possibly can and to get in to all the lines and crevices. I am most excited about the 'poreless' element it promised. I have some visible pores on my nose and would love nothing more than to airbrush them out with foundation.

I tend to stipple the foundation on my face concentrating on my pore-ful areas and behold they are airbrushed away with the rest of my blemishes. The coverage is average but it works for my need of non-caking face and coverage of the most importants which is the pores and blemishes. It is very light and airy which makes me feel like I am not choking my skin with product.

I do find that wearing it on a hot day can mean that it will not go the mile and will need to be re-touched. I tend to wear a finishing powder over the top to help set the foundation and to prolong the wear time which works well. I can go six hours without a re-touch on a hot day which is a winner for me at the cheap price. I am sold on this and my skin looks amazing and doesn't appear dry which is what I was afraid of it doing, My oily T Zone is not as oily as it used to be and I am saving over $20 by buying this brand rather than the usual one I got. I am sold on this and will be buying it again.

Tips: Use a finishing powder over top

Better fit for me

I picked this up a few months ago as I was curious with the matte formula. I've tried the original Fit Me foundation years ago and although I liked it then, it wasn't the best for my oily skin.

This Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation is so much better for me. The finish is not super matte but it keeps the oil at bay. It's medium coverage but it's buildable and it's not cakey. If I really need my foundation to last all day, I mix this with another favourite foundation of mine (Estee Lauder Double Wear) and it doesn't budge and has a great finish that lasts all day.

I apply this with a beauty blender and set with a face powder. Although I prefer lighter foundations to wear to work, I sometimes use this because it has good coverage but it doesn't feel heavy on the skin.

Absolutely flawless!

I love love love this foundation. I have tried so many different foundations that promise you perfection but this one doesn't lie. It matches perfectly too. Will definitely be buying this again.

Tips: I recommend using a brush for application.

My new go-to drugstore foundation

After reading all the fuss about the original Fit Me foundation, I decided to give the matte and pore-less version a try. And I love it! I love the medium-full coverage, I love the way it sits on my skin and bigger pores, and I love how it covers my acne. The only thing is the colour choice with Maybelline is hit or miss when it comes to their lighter shade, I feel I'm in between Ivory and Classic Ivory.

Tips: I found applying with my beauty blender was better then with a flat top brush.
