MAC Pro Longwear Concealer Review

I'm a longtime fan of many MAC products but had never tried the Pro Longwear Concealer. A friend recommended it to me when we were away together, so when I visited MAC Manukau to have my makeup done for an engagement photo shoot I asked the MAC makeup artist to applied it. I was won over immediately by how easily it applied and how well it concealed the big black circles under my eyes (my fiance said it looked like I had two black eyes!) that I had to purchase it.

I love the small packaging which incorporates a pump and clear bottle like a foundation bottle so you can easily see how much product you have left. The pump allows you to pump out just the right amount of product.

I have a lot of acne scarring and still suffer from the odd breakout, combined with those dark circles! On a daily basis I use this under my eyes and then a touch on any big breakouts, then when I want full coverage I'll blend this onto any other blemish poking through my foundation.

I have oily skin so need long-wearing makeup and this really does the job. This concealer has held up like no other and will definately be on my MAC repurchase list.

This concealer should be in everyone's make up bag. It works amazingly. The product is so creamy and smooth that it fills creases, smooths fine lines and hides dark circles so effortlessly! I didnt need to use any more then a pin size under each eye as it blends so well and a little goes a long way. I love glass bottle and pump it comes with as it makes for clean easy decantering. I use this under the eye and in the hollows of my eyes and it always wakes me up and gives me that glow my eye area needs. Affordable as you dont use much at all and it will last you a long time. I use this by applying on the end of a small fluffy brush and buffing it out. I love the look i get with this and to know i can trust it! No cakey feeling, no creasing, lasts all day, love this concealer!

I had my eye on this product for a long time. After watching so many raving reviews of this product on YouTube I felt I should give it a try despite its expensive price. To be honest that would be the only thing stopping me from repurchasing, the expensive price. I do have to keep telling myself though that this goes a long way and lasts a long time so the price is fairly reasonable. The product itself is really really great. It lasts all day as it says it does and I found it really didn't crease THANK GOD! Because so many concealers crease, especially under the eye. I notice such a difference when I use this product and unfortunately I can't do my makeup without it now! I highly recommend it for those looking for an undereye concealer and blemish covering one too.

I really like this product for the fact that it will last literally the whole day on you without need of touch ups. My shade is nc 30 and its by far my favorite concealer from Mac. Its very stay put a d and it has a nice coverage as well. Might be a bit uncomfortable if your skin is too dry as its formula dries fast on skin and if the under eye area is not well moisturized you might feel smin pulling a bit. Other than that this is a great product and it's worth every cent.

This stuff is amazing. I honestly can't get over how perfect it is for me - and I've been on the quest for a HG undereye concealer for what feels like forever (okay, probably only a couple of years, but still).

Why so much love for this? Well, it not only has amazing coverage, it also:

-doesn't oxidise on my fair skin (I use NC15, which is a perfect match).

-contains no glitter or sparkle like heaps of other concealers I've tried.

-sets to a super natural demi-matte finish.

-blends super well so that it's easy to get away with wearing just a bit of concealer under the eyes without it being obvious that I'm wearing makeup.

-covers redness and blemishes well also (although I personally am loving the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer for that purpose at the moment).

-and last but not least.... DOESN'T CREASE. That's right. It doesn't crease. I still can't believe it. Even without using powder to set it, it *still* doesn't crease. Obviously I can't guarantee that it won't do that on everybody, but on me personally I have had no problems.

Now, I will repurchase this forever (unless my dark circles disappear - now that would be awesome!), but there are a few things to be aware of:

-Unfortunately, as everybody else has already said, the pump is terrible. It is really hard to control, no matter how careful you are, and so it's very easy to end up with way too much pumping out. I ended up buying a tiny screw-top container and now I just put one pump in there and use it all up (usually it lasts me for about three days) before I do another pump. It's a bit of a pain, but worth it for the product.

-This is relatively pricey, at $40. However, I can justify it because a) it's by far the best concealer I've found, b) it lasts forever - I've had mine for about four months, and I've used maybe one sixth of the product inside, and c) most "drugstore" concealers are nearish $30 anyway - I'm looking at you, Revlon! Overall, I'm willing to pay it.

Phew, this was a long review! As you can probably tell, I'm rather passionate about this product. Hope that helped some of you! If in doubt, try and go in to a counter and ask them to colour-match you/try it on before you decide. :)

I have just got this and was very excited to try it after all I had heard and very pleased I bought it, its not to heavy and doesn't crease on me, I do recommend a primer before as it is thick and sits better with a eye primer.

I was a bit hesitant at first with trying this concealer as i have VERY dark and puffy under eye circles and i was scared that it would crease as many concealers i have used in the past have creased. However after purchasing this from the mac website through you shop for only around $23NZD (excl shipping) i was highly impressed.

It is easy to apply and i used a small concealer brush to blend it evenly under my eyes. You don't always need a setting powder because this concealer is self setting and mattifies by itself. It is also very long lasting.

Although, one thing i don't like is that the pump gives way more product than needed. But overall it concealed my dark circles way better than other concealers. I recommend this product for anyone with dark under eye circles, needing medium to flu coverage.

This is an excellent concealer and is worth all the rave it gets! It gives high coverage and covers any and all of my blemishes no matter how big or small. Staying power is also great and I find if I apply in the morning it lasts till the evening without touch-ups. Concealer creases reasonably easily on my skin and this is one of the concealers I've found creases the least which I'm stoked about. It's quite expensive which I would say is the only downside, but you only need the TINIEST amount so it will last you a very long time!

I have been wanting to try this for a long time-and Im not disappointed. The formula is gorgeous, extremely blendable and applies well. I use a NC15 as im very pale and use it for brightening my undereye rather than concealing spots per se, and love it. It blends beautifully, and definitely brightens up this area. I have HUGE problems with under eye circles and creasing, and this concealer really helps with those issues-although mine is so bad I use a couple other products to help. It lasts incredibly well, and the packaging is nice and not at all cheap feeling, however the pump is quite generous and you really need the smallest amount of product.

Holy grail concealer that I've been using for years! I have this in two shades - NW 25 for undereyes, and NC42 for blemishes! The concealer has a great consistency, its creamy and thick enough to make it stay in place! I also never have an issue with creasing.

The concealer is long lasting on its own, but setting powder always helps! Has great packaging but the only let down is the pump which squirts a little too much!
