Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

This foundation has an amazing stay power. The colour selection in NZ isnt anywhere near as wide as overseas so definitely get a colour match and tester as it is quite pricey! But you do not need a lot of this foundation and it is build able. I am very pale and the colour is still a lilttle off for me but its the best i could get in nz to match me :) I can see why this isnt for everyone though, does stick to dry patches and hairs. I still get oily by the end of my 9 hour days if I dont use powder, but no where near as bad as any other foundations I've tried.

I love this foundation! I use it for special occasions so it has lasted me ages, I brought it probably about 6 months ago and I still have about half a bottle left. It's quite an expensive foundation but because it has lasted me so long, I think it's definitely worth the price.

The colour I got matched my skin perfectly and it has really good coverage. I only use it occasionally because of the level of coverage and for me I think it's too much for everyday use. I will definitely be sad when it finally runs out because I love it and it's a lot of money to replace.

I love this foundation for when I'm going out at night time! Especially as it's full coverage, covering all my acne and freckles amazingly! It lasts a long time without any oily patches anywhere unlike alot of other foundations on me, great colour selection! Quite pricey though so use sparingly! (Although you never need much anyway)

A very full coverage foundation. Perfect for oily skin. It stays on ALL day and night. Easy to blend, wish it had a colour for us fair skinned ladies though. Its lightest shade is still a little orange on me! but other then that I still love it.

I have oily skin and so I need something that will stay put especially when I am working long hours and going out with friends following work. I really like the flawless look that it achieves. It gives you full coverage and feels really lovely.

I have a bottle of Doublewear Foundation I brought last year, I do like it I like the smell and how it goes on, it does give a flawless coverage, but the biggest factor on me NOT buying it again is the cost, it is too expensive for the average person to use I fell

This was the first sort of higher end make up product I have ever purchased and was weary about spending that much money on one product. After being color matched and given a very generous 10 day sample from the lovely lady at the EL counter in Farmers hastings I am convinced. I have had for about 4 - 5 weeks now with daily usage and am very impressed. I think it could maybe have a bit more coverage as sometimes i can still see blemishes through this and concealer but other than that id say a must have.

I had to try this after hearing everyone rave about how amazing it was, and they weren't exaggerating either! Most full coverage foundations I've tried have looked thick, cakey and unnatural. This stuff exceeded my expectations by a long shot. I've found if you suffer any redness, scarring or blemishes you really need to add another thin layer on top off the first layer but in saying that, it still looks flawless and natural. The only downside is the price in NZ is a bit over the top, so unless buying from overseas I wont be purchasing again. I'll be saving my bottle for special occasions!

This foundation seemed to have everyone raving about it so I thought I'd give it a go - I was not at all disappointed! The coverage was what it was made out to be which is medium to full coverage. Because of the expected coverage I was thinking that the liquid itself would be extremely thick but it was surprisingly not. Definitely an easily build-able product that feels surprisingly light on the skin.

I tend to use this foundation only when going out at night as I feel more comfortable with a lighter coverage during the say. It is most definitely long wearing which makes me question what's in it that makes it so durable haha. Other than that, I feel it is worth every drop for the price you pay - some may argue that its too expensive but I only wear it on weekends so probably go through less than others.

I have combination skin (normal and oily in the T-zone) and this is the only foundation that lasts hours on me without slipping or oxidising. I have worn it for 15 hours but it started getting patchy along the chin and nose after 10 hours ( I don't blot or re-touch though) . Using a flat foundation brush makes it look a little streaky and cakey on application but a wet (and squeezed) sponge is fabulous for building coverage. I use a primer (moisture mist premake up cream) underneath it but don't set with powder to avoid the "cakey" appearance. I just put a little bronzer and blush on my cheekbones. My shade is Tawny 3w1. I thought I needed a bit more yellow because it seemed a little dark on my cheeks although it matched the darker parts of my face. However, I have grown to love this shade because of how even my skin looks when I'm wearing this foundation. It covers my dark under-eye circles too and it photographs well.
