Don't think this is available

I've tried to find this again and cannot. Sad really as it was pretty damn good. Created an awesome complexion and had just the right emount of coverage.

Lightweight

I was one of the lucky ladies to trial this! I was super excited as I'm all about foundation & was intrigued by this new dispenser.

My first thoughts were "ohhh ahhh" when I opened the courier bag... Actually I think I said it out loud. The packaging is pretty! Pink plastic with a shiny metallic pink ring around the edge. It's not the most luxury looking compact but I feel it's appropriate for the price & it's marketed customer.

You open the top to reveal the puff in it's own little tray, you then open this reveal the product.

It is a sponge like thing, when you press down it pushes out the foundation.

I have worn this a few days in a row now to get a real feel for it.

It is lightweight & feels great on my skin. It goes on easily & if you like a light coverage, a little goes a long way. I did find the provided puff a little awkward to handle so switched to my beauty blender to apply. I found that I did need to touch up during the day as it wore off my nose & chin. Although none transferred to my shirt collar.

I prefer a heavy coverage product personally as I have a lot of scarring & am prone to acne breakouts but I can see myself using this on my "Natural" days when my skin is clear.

I had a go at building it up to get a heavier coverage but it doesn't really work.

Wearing this for 3 days, it has been kind to my skin. I have had no reactions or breakouts. It has not dried it out.

A different concept for foundation... I do find the cushion thing a little strange but it's probably more that I'm not used to it.

I liked that too Mallomiss - I didn't have any clogging of pores or spots from using it for several days in a row.

A Surprise

Thanks Beauty Review , arrived quicker than I thought , love getting left Surprises. This Product wasn't what I thought it would be , the Surprise ! To open it first I thought that it looked like a powdery pac ,but instead a liquid in sponge . I loved the idea no spillage. The cover wasn't as good as I thought , but then I think I could have chosen a slightly darker shade for best results. Getting used to the small pac to apply with ( might be my big fingers ) I preferred to use one of my slightly bigger sponges , but then probably get more wastage . However saying this I found it to be very light on my slightly older skin and didn't sink into the lines I have around my eyes and a few around my mouth. Being older I wondered how this would look. I used a very runny moisturiser under and perhaps need to look at something a bit more firm in my moisturiser . Over all this is nice and compact and easy to carry in handbag.

Changed my mind

First off, I really like the idea of this foundation; it comes in a cute compact (in a girly purple colour) and has the product, a cushion pad applicator and a mirror all in one.

The foundation is liquid, soaked into a sponge, you press the cushion into the sponge to pick up some product, then press the cushion onto your skin.

I found a buffing brush gave the best results over the pad provided, I found the foundation blended very well, and was easily build-able without looking too heavy. To start with it applies with a very 'wet' appearance, but sets to a more natural glow.

UPDATED: So originally I wasn't much of a fan of this foundation, I didn't find the coverage great and I wasn't sure it was something I liked or would use again. For a few weeks after my review it sat in my drawer unused, but I decided to throw it in my makeup bag one morning because it was so compact and I wouldn't need any other tools to apply it.

While I still find it quite light coverage and dewy (which isn't my usual preference) it does a great job, I do actually really like it now and I find it the perfect on-the-go foundation.

Tips: Use a buffing brush rather than the cushion provided.

Good but not holy grail

I was super excited to get on the trial for this. I love trying out new foundations so this was perfect. I also have had a good experience with L'Oreal foundations in the past as well so I had high hopes.

I really like the packaging for this. It is a small compact in a gorgeous purpley metallic finish. It is plastic and doesn't feel overly secure for travelling but on the inside there is another seal before you get to the foundation so I'm sure it'll be fine for travelling. The mirror in the lid is really great as well and would actually be usefull on the go. The puff in the compact I found quite porous though so I found it sucked up a lot more product but wasn't great at applying it.

Onto the product. My first tip with this is to not bother using the puff at all. I tried this with a brush and a beautyblender and I found that the beautyblender was the best for this foundation. I found it was a lovely light foundation which was buildable in the areas that I needed it. I had the lightest shade which I found was a touch to dark but not enough to really worry about. My main problem with this is that I found on a full work day it didn't stay on my skin particularly well by the end of the day. For that reason I won't be repurchasing.

I have heard people complaining about there not being much product in it but I have now being using this for over a week and it doesn't appear to be running out in any way (but I'll update this if I have issues).

I think this is a nice foundation but due to it breaking down on my face I won't be repurchasing. It is nice to know that this is a good foundation otherwise though, and that the cushion isn't a gimmick.

Does what it says

This foundation was just okay for me, I didn't hate it but didn't love it either. I got the shade 03 Vanilla, the second lightest shade. It was a pretty good match for me with my normal skin tone being an NC15-20. There's only 6 shades available in NZ, which is just crazy, so I'm surprised at how well it matched.

It was a little more pink toned than what I'd normally go for, but because it is such a sheer foundation you couldn't really tell. It does say it's a light coverage foundation, with buildable medium coverage, and I found that to be true. It's super sheer so I will only be wearing this on good skin days going forward!

I used my beauty blender to apply this foundation because I wanted to save the sponge it comes with for touch ups. I found it applied it well, and allowed the coverage to be built up a little where I needed a little extra coverage.

The primer I used made a huge difference in its lasting power - it broke up terribly by the end of the day when I primed with my MAC Strobe Cream, but it lasted all day pretty dang well when I used my Becca Backlight primer. I have combo skin for reference, and made sure to set with powder each time I wore it as it stays quite wet to the touch if not.

I'm excited to have this on hand to carry around when the situation arises, but I won't be repurchasing. I already have a sheer foundation I love that works out much cheaper than the price of this compact for the small amount of product you get.

I like the idea of this...but it needs work

I swatched all 6 colours in Farmers and was tossing up between 03 vanilla or 06 rose beige. I went with 06 but I did feel it was a bit too rose for my complexion, with 03 being too light. I guess that's one of my complaints- the limited colour range, but if the product proves successful I guess they might put out more colours.

The packaging is lovely, convenient and clean to use. Very on the go, with no spills and an applicator included. The applicator is a major thumbs down to me. Awkward to use and pretty pathetic really. I ended up using a sponge and brush with much better results than using the enclosed applicator sponge.

Coverage is very, very sheer. It is buildable but I felt that the effort to build it up was inconvenient and I would prefer to just start with a heavier foundation instead because you only get 12mls in these compacts. It seems pointless to buy this foundation to use as a full coverage product and use twice as much. It will run out in no time. Without using a powder I found my face to be shiny within a few hours, even more so if I tried to build up more coverage. I think this was more noticeable because the colour wasn't quite right for me anyway. With powder there was no shine.

I see this as a no makeup day kind of foundation, being that it's extremely sheer. I would like to try it in a colour that is a really close match to my skin, I think I would like it as a complexion corrector to get that 'no makeup' glow.

Another big downside to this product is the high price for 12ml of foundation @ $34 it's more expensive than a higher end foundation at 30ml for $80.

Tips: Ditch the applicator puff and use a beauty blender or brush.

it is definately a light coverage foundation which i dont really like. if i wanted to make it a medium to full coverage i could but the compact would then only last about 4 applications ive used it for 4 days now and i think i only have 1-2 uses left :'(

The Pros and the Cons

I was very, very excited to try this, as my search for the ideal foundation for my skin continues to be long and arduous (but hey, I get to try cool new make up along the way, as whenever I buy a new foundation, I inevitably buy other stuff, usually aiming to get it as part of a kit or with a freebie gift....so can't complain!). I'd heard good things about this one, and it sounded ideal for my skin - I'm heading into the late 30s and find that many foundations sadly settle into my lines, emphasising them, which I do not want!! Even when I use a really good primer (Becca at the moment) I still notice a settling into the lines, sigh.

I have "normal" skin, as in not too dry and not too oily, but it can be picky about what products it likes (as in bad reactions to some). I've had photofacials, so the pigmentation is a bit less obvious these days, so tend to go for light to medium coverage (and foundation tone!).

What I love about this foundation: the compact is really cute and handy to carry with me during the work day if I want a touch up. The foundation is super easy to apply (just the dab the sponge in the cushion and away we go) and build coverage with. The colour/tone seems to match reasonably well, and basically I can sponge it over my face in less than a minute and voila. It blends nicely, and Idon't have to spend ages with the blending sponge. Bronzer and highligher are easy to apply over it, and it last through the day just fine, with a decent primer underneath.

What I don't love: I'm not so keen on the wee sponge - it is a bit awkward with the small ribbon on the back to hold it, so I use my own brush or sponge. Even with a very rich serum, then CC cream, then lovely Becca highlighter underneath, this foundation seems to make my skin look quite dry by the end of the day. This is a mystery to me, as others have complained of the opposite - that they don't like the oiliness. And the texture of it just doesn't seem to lend itself to drying, but I can't put it down to anything else. When I reverted back to my other assembly of concealer and chubby stick foundation i didn't suffer the same problem at all. This also seems a tad pricey for what is not a lot of foundation - it doesn't seem to last along time like other foundations I've bought in a similar price range. While it does state clearly that this is light to medium coverage, if you are needing to build it up (and even I do, and I don't where heavy coverage) then it's going to last even less of a long time. Finally, it sadly does seem to settle in and emphasise my lines - the drying effect likely doesn't help with this. So overall, it wasn't the last great hope I had, but that's okay, I will keep searching. It still has its pluses and is obviously a great fit for other people out there. It's probably a lot better on younger skin!

Sadly not worth the hype

This was absolutely nothing like I expected. I remember reading that the applicator sponge was the "cushion" so I was expecting a kind of a solid cream foundation to bounce it into. WRONG... The cushion IMHO is really the sponge that sits in the compact (a gorgeous shiny pink click open/closed compact I must add) filled with the LIQUID foundation. And I mean liquid like water. The sponge does a great job of soaking it up though so I haven't experienced any product leakage. So I got the wee applicator 'cushion' and bounced it into the sponge (and instantly thought, I will have to wash this after every use just like my beauty blender or hello bacteria!) and dabbed the foundation on. It's sooo thin and watery that I found the coverage to be very sheer. Great if you want to just even out your skin a little but to me it was on par with a BB cream. I thought surely I would be able to layer it up for the areas that need more coverage but sadly I really struggled to get any coverage at all. It's a really dewy finish too, which is great for some people but really not ideal with my oily skin. I found the included applicator a little bit fiddley to really get into all the areas it needs to go (under eyes, sides of nose) too. Determined not to give up, the next day I tried this without the included 'cushion'. I patted my foundation brush into the sponge and applied it to my face then blended out with my beauty blender. I did feel like I had a little more control this way but still found that it was difficult to get much coverage. Overall it was just a bit of a fail to me. LOVE the concept, maybe if the formula that's drenching the sponge was more like my regular liquid foundation it would be a hit. Love the idea of being able to touch up my foundation when I'm out and about without the risk of liquid foundation leaking in my bag, just not loving this formula. Probably best left to those who want the coverage of a BB cream.

Tips: If you do like using the applicator sponge PLEASE wash it regularly or it'll become a breeding ground for bacteria.
