Beginners product

I found this a really good product when i started wearing makeup. Its perfect for summer days where you want a light coverage. I find it goes on way better with a brush as this makes it a more even application.

Perfect for Daily Life

I honestly love this product for day-to-day life, I have found it gives light coverage which is great when you dont want a full face of make up or in a hurry. Easy to apply just like putting on your moisturiser in the morning and evens out your skin tone. It is affordable so great to just have your make up bag.

Quite good for a BB Cream

Found this quite good. Got quite good coverage and good results in terms of removing redness and evening out skin tone. Definitely need something more intense if there are big pimples but usually it is enough for every day wear and pretty good value for money.

Tips: A little goes a long way. It is also quite hard to remove it at the end of the day, required a lot of toner/make up remover.

Provides quite good coverage

My skin has orange undertones is usually dry, with an oily surface (i.e. t zone gets quite shiny throughout the day), and I have pimples to cover around my chin and can be sensitive to specific products, but usually doesn't react.

I found that comparing this BB Cream to others I have tried (Shiseido and Za) it is a lot lighter and provides less coverage with what feels like a more oily base. However, this coverage could be built up a little without looking cakey (unless I added too much), but did not manage to completely cover the problem chin area (though this is often a difficult area to cover. It blended in well to my skin (though is probably a little pinker than my usual shade) and did not cause any reaction.

I think that because the product is lighter than the other BB Cream I use and seems to feel a little oilier, it did not last all day, particularly in the oily t-zone area I mentioned I have. It just slid off in my oilier areas, but did stay on quite well in the cheeks area, and covered the redness I tend to have in my cheeks. However, I did find the sun protection SPF15, a little bit of a let down, as with paler skin, I know it is not enough to protect me.

For the quantity in the packaging the price seems to be one of the cheapest BB Creams available and though I do prefer the other BB Creams that I've used, this is a good alternative. I will be interested to see how long the tube lasts, as I do find myself using more than with my Za BB Cream due to the lighter consistency, and therefore it might not be as cost effective.

Overall, I was really quite happy with the results of the Garnier BB Cream and it increased my expectations of this brand. The packaging was eye catching and well made giving all the information needed about the product and it's uses. And though it did not cover or last as well as my current BB cream, it did do a pretty good job. I'll probably wouldn't buy this again, due to the difficulty with the oily t-zone and the lower sun protection (my current BB Cream is SPF 43). However, I will finish the tube and keep it in mind if my skin changes and for maybe winter. Also, I may recommend it to a friend under the right circumstances. I'm giving this a 3.5-4/5

Tips: Apply to clean, toned and moisturised skin with your fingers. For a nicer finish use a foundation brush.

Something different

This BB cream was not what I was expecting. I had never used a bb cream before this and was very surprised by the results. It didn't have the best coverage but it did tone down some of my nasty pimples. The consistency was very thin and a bit runny but it was very effortless to blend in. I was going to use a stipple brush but then just used clean fingers and it went on like a dream. Perfect if you are just having I don't care but secretly I do care make up day.

Normal Garnier BB Cream - Natural Tanned Finish

My skin is mostly normal with occasional oily parts so I opted for the Normal Garnier BB Cream. There is a choice between light and medium shades and I picked the medium with the idea that I can always dilute with moisturiser if worse came to worse. I have tried 2 BB Creams before and I really liked that the consistency of this BB Cream was not too runny – which a lot of creams are – and the best thing with this shade is that it gave me a really nice natural tanned daytime look! The product also went really far so you definitely get good value for your $$. For the application, since I don’t have the best foundation brush, I simply applied this cream like any other face moisturiser, little dab on the palm, and used both hand to smooth out any obvious lines etc. The smell was not strong at all, neither too perfumy nor synthetic. In the end, I felt comfortable with the coverage I got, it was quite dewy at first but did dry to a natural finish (not a matte finish) I felt happy not adding foundation or more coverage. It lasted really well during the day – something I really look for in a product – as if I can avoid having to carry makeup in my purse to “topup” during the day then thumbs up from me! The price is really reasonable – on super sale at supermarkets for as little as $10!! I especially love the size of the cream as it is small enough to carry in handbag/makeup bag, the overall packaging of the product is pretty simple and traditional – nothing to rave about or mark out as different. I would recommend this product to a friend as it does tick all the boxes – another good Garnier product!

Tips: Be careful with the shade you choose, medium could easily be too dark for many - try and test it before buying if you can :-)

Not quite instantly perfect.

I have normal to dry skin, very fair, with light freckles. I wear BB cream almost everyday for simple work makeup to even out redness and hide the worst of my dark circles. I normally use Maybelline Dream Fresh. I received the Garnier version as a trial.

I'll start with the things I liked about the Garnier BB Cream. Packaging - I really like that this is 50 ml rather than the 30ml Maybelline so I don't have to buy as frequently. I also like the flip lid instead of a screw top as it makes it a bit easier for applying makeup on the go (I'm often THAT girl on the train, I don't do mornings...). I love that this has SPF 15 which the maybelline BB lacks. This BB is quite thick and provides pretty good coverage over both redness around my nose and dark circles and I didn't need to use as much product as the Maybelline BB because of this. More product+using less makes it more cost effective than the Maybelline too! It also lasts on the skin all day (see tips though). The smell is pleasant and kindof cucumbery which is nice and fresh.

There are a few things that I don't like about this BB. Firstly the texture. I find this BB a bit too greasy even for my somewhat dry skin and made my skin look very shiny/oily. I feel like Garnier confuses 'healthy glow' with super shiny. I am VERY fair (cool - neutral tones) especially in winter and this was a bit too dark for me and too warm toned, I had to blend a lot down my neck to make it look less of a mask and I toned it down a little with the Shiseido powder which also helped to set the BB and make it last longer and reduce the shiny/oily appearance. Packaging-wise, the box was quite busy with too much/repetitive text.

Overall if this was produced in a lighter shade and less greasy I would be more inclined to buy again. Will try again in summer when I have a little more colour naturally!

Tips: I wear this BB with Olay SPF15 moisturiser underneath, applied with a nylon foundation brush and set with Shiseido Translucent Loose Powder.

Garnier skin perfector BB cream

This product is super easy to apply and it goes on very evenly. I really like the consistency, it isn't too thick but isn't thin and watery which makes it easy to use. I can put it on in the morning and it makes an instant difference to how I look. I'm not a morning person but after putting it on I look much fresher and it evens out my skin tone nicely but I don't feel like it lasts all day. I'm not sure if it's because I have oily skin anyway but it seems very oily on my face and I wasn't a fan of that. I do like the way it smells though. Overall I think this product was OK, the oily feeling it left on my skin let it down. I like the idea of a moisturiser like this!

Tips: I would probably recommend this cream for someone who doesn't have oily skin

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream – Normal

I was really excited to try the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream – Normal as I have tried BB Creams in the past and I wasn’t too impressed. Unfortunately I found this product to be fairly average like the rest. My skin type is normal, verging slightly on the dry side and is slightly pink in patches. I found the consistency of this cream lightweight and smooth to the touch. It was easy to distribute evenly gave a nice light coverage, and given my only slight pink tones the light coverage is sufficient for day wear. I did find however that my small dry patches were accentuated and it didn’t blend well on my nose area. This product smells good, and the packaging is cute and practical, but I don’t think I would be happy paying quite that much for it. Overall I would say it’s not a bad product, I just don’t think it’s perfect for my skin exactly.

Tips: I found moisturising and priming my face first made it go on smoother and last longer.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Review

Today as my parcel arrived I raced to the door! I couldn't wait to try my Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream -for normal skin. This product claims to be an all in 1 BB cream which was; 24hr* Hydration, Evens complexion, Corrects blemishes, Boosts healthy glow, Uv Protection SPF 15. The top of the box also claims 'Instantly Perfect Skin' which is a big claim to make! I have 'normal' skin and only occasionally if i don't use primer my nose may become a little bit oily with my foundation by the end of the day. Unfortunately I did find my nose to be a little bit oily with the bb cream quite soon after application. The consistency was fairly thick and creamy but it did spread quite well. I use my fingers the first time but was itching to put it on with my usual flat top buffing brush -I tired this the next time and did prefer it, although with a bb cream I feel like you should be able to just pop it on effortlessly with fingers or you may aswell be using foundation.. It is quite strong smelling, to be honest I can't decide if I like it or not. It is not unpleasant though. The coverage is reasonable, I personally have freckles that I don't want to cover but it was enough to give me a fairly even complexion, so i'm happy with that. I am also very pleased with the finish it is not matte and not too dewey just a perfect healthy looking in-between. It has lasted pretty well throughout the day (minus making my nose feel a bit oily) The price is reasonable for a BB cream $17.50 is what i would expect to pay. It is a 50ml bottle so it will last me a long time (I have no makeup days so i wont be wearing it more than a few times a week) The packaging is just standard nothing wow but no complaints either, it is user friendly. The only thing I would have liked more is if there was plastic around the lid for peace of mind that it hasn't been used before! I am not 100% convinced that it did everything it claimed. The statement on the box 'Instantly perfect skin' I definitely found my skin far from perfect. It also didn't correct any blemishes I had nor under my eyes. But in saying that i did love the 'healthy glow' that it stated on the box and that it is SPF 15 - always a bonus! I personally wasn't wowed by this product but i think it would suit some of my friends well so I will be recommending it to them.

Tips: I didn't use a primer as I personally think bb creams are for your low maintenance days but for some people it may be a good idea as i did find it a bit tiny tad greasy on my nose. Also when applying with your fingers just be carefully to spread it everywhere and you could even use a flat top brush to just buff in any lines you may have left. I also found it made my neck a little pasty so you could take it down your neck a little bit. Or wear a scarf :P I don't thick that would be a problem in summer though.
