Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Nude Review

I’ve used Garnier’s BB Cream in the past and been really happy but I actually prefer this new formulation. I’m sitting here with the old blend on one side of my face & the new one on the other to make a comparison. The product I’m reviewing has more coverage, is more satiny in appearance and is thicker when applied. I am fascinated that a white cream can turn into a tone which is such a great match for my skin, especially since I have areas of pigmentation. The fragrance is light, the coverage is good considering it is just a BB Cream not a foundation though when I tried applying a second layer it got a bit streaky & weird but evened out with a little rubbing. I love that it has a sunscreen but since it’s been raining here I can’t rate it’s effectiveness on that level. Generally I prefer a more natural daytime look so this is absolutely perfect. The packaging is compact enough to pop in my handbag, the moisturising element makes it ideal to put on after swimming so I don’t need to cart an extra bottle with me & best of all, no skin reaction. I’m going to enjoy using Garniers Skin Perfector BB Cream Nude this summer. Compared to other BB Creams containing sunscreen & mineral pigments this is good value for money.

Was super excited to find out i would be participating in the trial team for this product!! My initial thoughts when i squirted out the BB cream and rubbed it between my fingers for the first time were WOW - this is very thick and creamy, and feels like the consistency of a hydrating night moisturiser, not the type of product i would usually put on my face during the day. It definitely does not feel like any sort of cosmetic product/ foundation upon application, more like skincare. As you rub the product around and it heats up with your body temperature, it begins to change colour from pure white to a 'match' of your skin. I was pleasantly surprised that the BB cream didn't have the classic cheeto-esque orangey look that 99% of other drugstore BB creams do, and (although a tiny bit orange and not perfect) had more of a yellowy undertone.

I have naturally quite oily skin, so i was hesitant to test this out and see how it wore during the day. When i applied it to my skin, it felt super nourishing and gave me a hint of coverage. I thought it looked absolutely fantastic. My skin was glowing, my complexion was evened out, and it looked like i had no makeup on. I totally fell in love, but knew my oily skin would fail me within an hour of having this on. This is not the type of BB cream to use if you want any sort of actual coverage, more so for if you are running errands for the day or going to the beach. As i suspected, after an hour or two i had already turned oily (I did powder by the way) but i still am overall happy with this product. I definitely will be using this again for casual days and days at the beach for when you want your skin to look perfect but not look like you're wearing makeup, but not when i am actually in the mood to apply proper makeup.

LOVE this BB cream. A little goes a long way. I use it on its own but also with my normal concealer for that extra cover. The first time I used it I used way too much and only need a little bit. Even though it does make my skin a bit oily I just use some powder and rhen I am all gooed to go. It is definitely lightweight and does not make your face feel caked or heavy with concealer on. Like the fact that it matches to your skin tone and looks natural and that it does not dry out my skin.

The cream reminds me of sunscreen it’s quite thick and white and I found It to have a really nice smell to it.

I put it on and was fascinated by its colour changing and that it had made my skin look healthy and glowing.

I did notice that the colour didn’t match my neck and was a lot darker this may have been more because it had changed to the colour of my face and had been blended down. So may pay to check you don’t end up with a line.

Was brilliant on a scorching hot day as well as the sunscreen factor worked brilliant and no sunburn at all.

Definitely will be repurchasing.

I was lucky enough to be on the trial team for this product, so I used it in a number of different ways/situations several times to make sure I can give it a really thorough review. I also used it without moisturising first and with moisturising first. I preferred moisturising first, because I tend to have skin on the dry side. I found that it was good to let the moisturiser dry slightly before applying the BB cream for better coverage. When I applied without moisturiser, I was pleasantly surprised at how easily the cream went on to my skin and did not feel drying.

The cream itself is creamy and light and has a pleasant smell that is not overpowering.

Overall, I really like this BB cream. It is very moisturising and light on my skin so it didn't really feel like I was wearing make up. I often finish the day feeling like I can't wait to wash the makeup off my face, but that wasn't the case with this cream. I still felt like my skin could breathe and I wasn't in a rush to wash and moisturise. The coverage lasted well all day and didn't become splotchy or rub off.

When I first used the BB cream, I was so surprised to see that it was white. It's amazing stuff really - when you apply it to your face you can see it changing colour before your eyes! The product says that it matches your skin tone. I felt that the colour match was probably slightly too dark for my liking.

You can layer the cream to increase the coverage, although it is a BB cream, so it's never going to give you a really flawless coverage. On one of the days that I wore it at work, I had an important meeting, so I applied it twice to increase the coverage and it looked really good. Most importantly, it felt really good all day! I work in an air conditioned office so it's quite drying and I find that my skin generally feels awful by the end of the day. However, it still felt moisturised and like it could breathe with this BB cream on.

When I wore it to the gym, it lasted really well and didn't sweat off. The weekend wear was probably my favourite because one application was the perfect amount of coverage to make me feel confident, but it didn't actually look like I was wearing make up.

I also wore it out to dinner and again, applied it twice for a slightly heavier coverage. I normally wear a heavier foundation when I go out, and I would probably add some concealer or a light application of foundation to my problems areas next time, but all in all, I felt that my face looked nice and felt nice.

The downsides? I think there are three: - it's quite a small bottle, so if you are applying twice for a heavier coverage quite regularly, it won't last very long - you do need to make sure you rub it in well, as I found that it was easy to miss patches and discover them later looking splotchy - the colour was slightly darker than I would have preferred.

Overall, I would recommend this to a friend who wants light, moisturising and breathable coverage.

At first glance, this bb cream looks near on identical to my 'normal' garnier bb cream. When the product comes out there is a big difference. The vream comes out white with tiny balls within. The cream glides effortlessly onto my skin amd seems to soak in to an extent. It doean't leave my skin with a really shiny complexion. I think that you really notice the 'snapchat filter' look q couple of mins later. My skin has a slight sunkissed glow with my freckles and blemishes blurred a bit. I am really happy with the way my skin looks and feels. I do, however, think that reapplication mid afternoon is required during this humid hot weather. All in all, I like that the smell isn't overpowering, my skin looks natural a bit awesome and that a little product goes a long way!

As a long term user of BB Creams, I've tried a few. This one had a really good consistency, a proper cream, which was an immediate surprise as it was white. Don't be fooled. I applied the cream onto sections of my face then smoothed on with my fingers, and as the consistency of the cream is so good, it went on really well. Surprising again, as it immediately changed to a skin-tone colour. Did it match mine? Not quite - it was me if I had a bit of a tan, however it didn't look too dark for me. What I immediately noticed was the grey circles under my eyes instantly improved! The smell is pleasant, not overpowering. The coverage is a little lighter than I was hoping for giving it was a cream, however it did improve the appearance of my skin, minimising the red capillaries, the overall look being smoother, more even. I did patch cover a few places, but it didn't build up like a foundation. My skin felt moisturised all day, which again was a surprise given the current humitidy and heat in Auckland, and did indeed have a healthy glow to it as claimed. Personally however, now I'm in my 40's I find a 'glow' doesn't really suit as it can reflect back the imperfections/fine lines, and this is exactly what happened. The actual coverage was still in place after a busy day, which is important for me as a massage therapist who sweats a little during work. Packaging wise, it is typically Garnier with all the info you need on the product and ingredients. The tube is standard, easy to squeeze, and while I prefer pump bottles so there is no issue with leaking product/mess from tubes while getting lid back on with product on fingers, because this is a cream, nothing leaked out. Overall I'd say this product does exactly what it claims, I would use again and I'd recommend it, possibly for first time BB Creamers especially wanting healthy looking day time skin without foundation.

I was surprised when I went to use the BB Cream that it was white, no pigment at all,but it covers the skin beautifully. It has a light, creamy texture and went on smoothly with no obvious lines of where it had and hadn’t been applied. With skin that is now a little bit older, it covered fine lines and slight imperfections beautifully. I applied two applications of it and it is so light compared to my usual foundation. For summer and weekends this is perfect to use before applying the rest of my make-up.

It has a light scent which is nice and not too strong. It comes in a small, easily transportable bottle and the price point is very cost effective. I will pop the Garnier skin perfector BB cream in my handbag and another on the boat as it will be handy to put on after being in the sun or the water. The SPF15 is an added bonus to help keep my skin protected.

I found after three days that I preferred the cover it provided which looks natural compared to my heavy foundation and will certainly look forward to using it through the summer season.

I would recommend this product to those with both young and aging skin as it has the protection of SPF, is light, provides good cover and is reasonably priced.

I hadn't used BB cream for a couple of years prior to trialling this one recently, I was happy to welcome it back Into my life.

This bb cream is a thick white formula that changes color upon warming on the skin. To apply this I squeeze out about a finger nail sized dollop, rub between my hands and use my fingers to dab and smooth over my face.

This bb cream seems to match my skin tone well providing light, natural and slightly luminous coverage. I find that that this product does exactly what it's supposed to do, and I really like it for those days when I would otherwise be make-up free.

I also tried using this bb cream as a base/primer for my foundation, which didn't work too well as my face looked too dark in the end.

This is a decent quality bb cream perfect for minimal make-up days, it does what It should therefore I can't fault.

This product definitely does what it says, with making the skin radiant and glowing. I found when I first applied it, it looked a little orange which concerned me, but after a minute or two, it actually adjusted to my skin tone. It appears to have small shimmers it in, making the skin very glowy. I would absolutely wear this for weekends, to look like I have a natural glow, and a natural amount of coverage too.
